Punctual pick-up and drop-off, small tour group, easy-to-manage guide. Sapi Island has clear water, white sand, and plenty of fish, a great place for snorkeling. Manukan Island also has clear water, but not many fish. Guide Zhihong is good. Worth the trip.

This was the itinerary for the first day in Kota Kinabalu. I booked this Manukan and Sand Island day trip through Xiaole customer service. The scenery was beautiful and the boat ride was only 10 minutes. The two tour guides spoke excellent Chinese, and the lunch was quite good. It was a wonderful trip.

Xiao Yong, the customer service representative, helped with the arrangements, and overall it was very good. The instructor led five people, and we communicated in basic English. We met at 4:30, and after everyone arrived, we received our equipment and got a brief explanation. We set off on the boat around 5:00. We were all beginners, and the boats were connected together. The instructor rowed from the front. Although it was supposed to be a stand-up oar, I didn't have the courage to stand up the whole time. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't good, and we didn't see the fiery sunset. At the end, Instructor Miko (I'm not sure if that's the correct spelling) took a set of beautiful photos for us on the shore.

It was an activity where I could see a truly stunning sunset and experience paddleboarding. It is an activity I would love to try again next time. The paddle instructor was also very kind and took great photos. Be sure to join and capture the photos of a lifetime!

Manukan Island is a great choice for island hopping in Kota Kinabalu, just a 15-minute speedboat ride away. The island boasts clean beaches and beautiful gradient turquoise waters, perfect for snorkeling where you can see schools of small fish up close. The island is lush with greenery and offers plenty of shade, so you won't get sunburned. You can enjoy swimming and snorkeling, or simply relax on the beach. The island is well-equipped with restaurants, changing rooms, and restrooms. It's not too crowded, allowing for a relaxed pace of life, making it ideal for couples to enjoy a relaxing island getaway. Thank you so much for picking us up even though we booked the night before! The sea at Sapi Island was so beautiful, and we saw so many fish while snorkeling. The staff also watched our belongings, so we were able to enjoy ourselves with peace of mind. We were also able to see a large lizard, and it was great to visit Manukan Island as well. We enjoyed the thrilling boat ride. All the staff were so kind, and we had a wonderful time. Thank you so much!
