I did this route last year, and this time when I revisited, I specially chose to join a small group tour to the tomato farm. It was definitely worth the trip! There was an Icelandic horse show, a farm greenhouse display, and while it was freezing outside, it was warm and cozy inside. Everything was so clean and tidy. The staff were well-dressed, generous, and polite. I enjoyed delicious tomato soup with farm-baked bread. I was happy and moved. Despite the harsh environment, they still strive to create a beautiful home. That's the Icelander!

This day trip is entirely independent with no guide. You'll need to transfer twice at the bus stop near the hotel, so please pay attention to the pick-up and drop-off points. Getting to the attractions is a bit rushed and the weather is quite cold, so please dress warmly. Overall, though, it's highly recommended! 👍
