Our tour guide Dan was outstanding in every respect: in his language skills and his knowledge. A truly worthwhile and multifaceted walking tour through the city center of Timisoara, spanning its history from the Middle Ages to the modern era. The events of December 1989 were vividly described.

We had a really fantastic time on the One Day in Transylvania tour. Sergiu is a wonderful guide and a great driver. My wife was born in Timisoara but left very young in 1980 and we both came away from this tour with a much better understanding of Romanian history. All the sites were fascinating and the church he showed us (I won't ruin the surpirse) was one of the coolest things I've ever seen. A big plus is that Seriu is also a great conversationalist so not only did we learn the history from the tour but we came away with a better understanding of what life is like in contemporary Romania. Oh, the restaruant was great too, I suggest ordering the Transylvanian stew. I would highly recommend this tour if you find yourself in Timisoara!
