Public Library of Salamanca - Casa de las Conchas is located in the heart of Salamanca's old town and is a highly recognizable palace in this university city. Construction began in the late 15th century, commissioned by Rodrigo Arias Maldonado, a knight of the Order of Santiago, and it took over 20 years to complete. The facade blends a Gothic framework with early Renaissance Plateresque ornamentation, serving as a testament to the era of transition between old and new architectural styles. More than 300 protruding scallop shell carvings cling to the exterior, densely covering the walls, a feature quite rare among similar buildings in Spain. Today, the building serves as a public library. Stepping inside, you can visit the courtyard surrounded by two-story arcades, where the row of short marble columns on the upper level is particularly exquisite.Spain · Salamanca

The Sanctuary of Bom Jesus do Monte is located on Mount Espinó, on the outskirts of Braga in northern Portugal. It is a historic Roman Catholic pilgrimage site. Its most famous feature is the magnificent zigzag Baroque steps, which climb 116 meters. Along the way, there are many chapels, fountains and sculptures depicting the scenes of the Passion of Jesus. The sanctuary was built in the 14th century, and the existing buildings were mainly built from the 18th to the early 19th century, combining Baroque and neoclassical styles. Among them, the famous "Five Senses Steps" symbolize vision, hearing, smell, taste and touch through fountains, reflecting the combination of religion and art. To facilitate tourists to climb to the top, one of the earliest cable cars in the Iberian Peninsula was built in 1882 and is still in operation. In 2019, the Sanctuary of Bom Jesus do Monte was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and became an important cultural landmark in Braga.Portugal · Braga

Zubizuri was completed in 1994 and designed by Calatrava. The parabolic arch stands 14.6m high and is formed from a curved steel pipe with a diameter of 75 cm, resulting in an exquisite design. The bridge's technical design is also rigorous, featuring 6 shock absorbers, which allowed Calatrava to create a pedestrian bridge that spans the Nervion River and complements the city's style while largely ensuring its structural integrity.Spain · Bilbao

This Roman Bridge of Salamanca is located in the Golden City of Salamanca. Although it has weathered over 2,000 years of history, it still stands intact, spanning the Tormes River. It is said that the bridge was originally built by Emperor Trajan, but of its 26 arches, only the 15 closest to the city date back to the 1st century AD, while the rest were rebuilt in the 16th and 17th centuries after the bridge was destroyed by floods. With its beautiful surroundings, the bridge has become a popular dating spot for university student couples. From one end of the bridge, you can also enjoy a panoramic view of the Salamanca Cathedral (Catedral Nueva). After nightfall, the Roman Bridge of Salamanca, illuminated by city lights and accompanied by the gentle sound of flowing water, is incredibly romantic!Spain · Salamanca

There is a very famous building in Salamanca, the Shell Stand, which is famous because tens of thousands of shells are carved on the outer wall of the building. It looks densely packed, hence the name. It is also one of the most famous attractions in Salamanca, and you must come and see it.

The main square of Salamanca is said to be the most beautiful in Spain. It is indeed beautiful, but the weak light in winter cannot compare with the bright sunshine in summer, so the photos we took are not as good. There are many celebrity portraits around the square. According to LP, Franco's portrait is covered with plastic bags to prevent it from being damaged, but we didn't find it and left.

Bom Jesus do Monte is a notable sanctuary and pilgrimage site situated on a hill in the outskirts of Braga, a historic city in northern Portugal. Inscribed in 2019 as a UNESCO world heritage site, the sanctuary is completely accessible to the public and does not charge any entrance fee. The most iconic feature of the sanctuary is the monumental Baroque stairway leading to the Church of Bom Jesus do Monte. We took a taxi which send us to the church directly we so skipped climbing up the 577 steps on the 116-metre stairway. Instead we walked down the stairway after visiting the sanctuary complex. An alternative way to reach the church is by taking the water-powered funicular. The fee is 2 euros for a one-way journey and 3 euros for a round trip.

A very beautiful place. If you're on a tour bus, be prepared for a hike, bring comfortable shoes and water; there are no cafes or restaurants at the very end. If you're looking for a budget option, you can take a bus from Bilbao to Bakio, then walk 3 km.

The cable ferry bridge transports vehicles and pedestrians to the other side of the river through a huge bridge box. You can also take the elevator to the top of the bridge, walk on it, and enjoy the entire cityscape of Bilbao. The one-way ticket price is 4.5€.

The Roman Bridge is a famous historical relic in Salamanca. It still spans the Toleme River intact. The arches near the city end date back to the 1st century AD, and the rest were rebuilt after being destroyed by floods. This bridge witnessed the prosperity of Salamanca in the Middle Ages.

【Bilbao】This place, whether it is the new city or the old city, is beautiful and a good place. I bought gas in Spain and found it was half cheaper than in France. I felt like I finally got gas at a reasonable price. No wonder the yellow vests in France were going to smash, smash, loot and burn, but after all the trouble, gas prices still haven’t come down‍♀️ At that time, I had the urge to fill every empty bottle in the car and take it back to France.
