The Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park, located on the sea on the west side of Kota Kinabalu, consists of 5 islands. Mamudi Island is the smaller one, but the essence is often concentrated. The west side of the island is a rocky coast, and the east side of the island is a rocky coast. The side is a beach, the water quality here is very good, very suitable for snorkeling. There are large pieces of coral underwater on this island, and various marine creatures such as clownfish and sea urchins live. Even standing on the trestle that stretches into the sea, you can take pictures of small fish swimming in the transparent seawater. If you go into the water, you can see them More, so Mamudi is a great island for snorkeling. In addition to snorkeling on the island, you can also pay to play motorboats, parachutes, etc. Tourists who can't swim may wish to take a walk on the bottom of the sea. Wear a helmet with a snorkel to breathe underwater, and you can also try submarine motorcycles. (aka the Little Sheep on the Sea), put on a helmet with oxygen delivery, ride a special motorbike slowly on the bottom of the sea, and watch schools of fish swim around you. There are fresh water showers and public toilets on the island, but there is no hotel, so you can camp. It is recommended to bring your own tent and prepare food and water.Kota Kinabalu · 27.3 km from Papar

Sapi Island Kota Kinabalu, Sabah Malaysia (also known as the Mantanani Islands) is located off the northwest coast of Kota Belud, Sabah, Malaysia. It consists of three islands: Pulau Mantanai Besar, Mantanani Kechil Island, and Lungisan Island. It is named after the dugongs that are occasionally spotted in the nearby waters—these gentle marine mammals are the inspiration for the mermaid legend. The island still retains its fishing villages, where white sandy beaches, rows of coconut trees, and villagers drying their nets create a slow-paced scene of a tropical island. There are numerous diving and snorkeling spots around the islands. On the seabed, you can see colorful coral reefs and schools of tropical fish. Marine life such as spotted eagle rays, stingrays, and seahorses also inhabit these waters. Some diving spots still retain shipwreck remains, adding another layer to underwater exploration.Kota Kinabalu · 31.6 km from Papar

Gaya Street is the main street of the old town of Kota Kinabalu. It took shape as early as 1902 and was known as Bond Street by the British during the colonial period, while local Chinese residents were accustomed to calling it "Middle Street." A Chinese-style archway stands at the entrance of the street, and inside are rows of old Chinese shophouses, with teahouses, restaurants, and grocery stores side by side, which is why it is known as the "Chinatown" of Sabah. The street also retains an old post office building, which has now been converted into a tourist information center and is one of the few surviving pre-war buildings in Kota Kinabalu. The highlight of this street is the market that opens every Sunday morning. Stalls occupy almost the entire street, where you can find everything from local snacks, coffee powder, and fresh produce to handicrafts, clothing, footwear, and even pet stalls. It is full of local life, where you can hunt for affordable souvenirs and observe the daily life of locals shopping at the market.Kota Kinabalu · 31.9 km from Papar

Masjid Bandaraya Kota Kinabalu is situated on the shores of Likas Bay in Kota Kinabalu. The white mosque is surrounded by an artificial lake, and its blue and gold domes and four minarets are reflected on the calm water, giving it the appearance of floating in the center of the water when viewed from a distance, which is why it is nicknamed the Floating Mosque. It was officially opened in 2000. Its design was inspired by Al Masjid-e-Nabawi in Medina, Saudi Arabia, and it features a modern Islamic architectural style. The main prayer hall can accommodate over 10,000 worshippers at once, making it one of the main mosques in Kota Kinabalu. The mosque also houses facilities such as a religious school and remains a daily gathering place for local community members.Kota Kinabalu · 35 km from Papar

We chose this hotel for a short family trip because of its tranquility, and after our stay, everyone raved about how great our choice was. It doesn't follow trends or try to be trendy; it exudes a quiet elegance without being ostentatious. From the moment we entered, even the elderly in our family couldn't help but say, "This place makes us feel so at ease." The entire hotel space is exceptionally bright and airy. There are no cramped corridors or overly complicated decorations. Several thriving green plants line the hallways, and even the air is free of pungent aromatherapy, only a subtle, natural fragrance. The staff were exceptionally patient with the elderly and children, proactively bringing small snacks for our kids and thoughtfully providing warm milk. The rooms were spacious enough that the elderly didn't feel cramped at all. Two wicker chairs were placed on the small balcony by the window, where the whole family could sit, drink tea, and enjoy the courtyard view—it was incredibly pleasant. In the morning, the courtyard is filled with the scent of plants, and the wind, filtering through the eaves, carries the distant chirping of birds. In these moments of peace and tranquility, the tension of our daily lives completely melts away. The most precious thing about traveling isn't how many sights you see, but that the whole family can have a peaceful rest. This hotel perfectly meets that need, and we'll definitely choose it again for future family trips.

Exclusive review of Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park Traveling in Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park is like walking through a primeval forest. The air there is fresh and the scenery is picturesque, which makes people feel relaxed and happy. I especially like those unique natural landscapes, such as spectacular waterfalls and mysterious caves, which make people linger. In general, Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park is a tourist destination that is very worth visiting. The natural beauty and rich wildlife resources here have given me a deeper understanding and awe of the magic of nature. Hehe, if I have the opportunity, I will definitely go there again and continue to explore this beautiful land!

Last time I went to Manukan Island, although I didn't dive, I still had a lot of fun. The beach on the island is very beautiful, and the water is super clear, which makes people feel good at first sight. My friend and I walked on the beach, blowing the sea breeze, which was very comfortable. There were not many tourists there, and it felt very quiet, especially suitable for relaxation. We also rented a chair and lay there to bask in the sun, drinking coconut water while looking at the blue sky and white clouds. It was really pleasant. Lunch was solved at the restaurant on the island. Although it was simple seafood, it was very satisfying. Manukan Island is really a good place to relax. You don't need to do anything special to feel its beauty. Highly recommended! !

Mamudi Island was the first island we chose for our island hopping trip. The weather was pretty good at the time. We were on the island for a short time, mainly to play activities on the island. We played parasailing, which was fun and a bit exciting. After the project, we went directly to Sapi Island. I heard that you can see clownfish when snorkeling in Mamudi Island, but we didn't see it, which was a pity. The scenery is OK, but the disadvantage is that the organization of the island hopping trip is really chaotic. You have to wait a long time to go to other islands and return.

Compared to other nearby islands, the water is clearer and there are many fish. The beach is shallow, so it seems that many people bring young children. There is a group of monkeys living on the island.

We visited on Thursday morning. There were no vendors and not many people, so we could only admire the atmosphere. Our driver told us that Gaya Street was the old city center of KK and a hub for the Chinese community. Judging from the streetscape, I could imagine the bustling market, teeming with people. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to wait until Monday to visit. Now, there are many restaurants and shops selling Malaysian specialties.

Kota Kinabalu City Mosque is a stunning architectural gem that appears to float on its surrounding lagoon, creating a mesmerizing sight at sunrise and sunset. Inspired by the Nabawi Mosque in Medina, its elegant blue and gold dome, along with its towering minarets, makes it one of the most picturesque mosques in Malaysia. The peaceful atmosphere, combined with the opportunity to explore the mosque by paddle boat, adds to its unique charm. Whether visiting for prayer, photography, or quiet reflection, this mosque is a must-see landmark in Sabah. Five stars – A blend of spiritual beauty and breathtaking scenery. #KotaKinabaluMosque #FloatingMosque #SabahTravel #MalaysiaBeauty

It was a fantastic luxury experience. Watching the sunset from a cruise ship in Kota Kinabalu was so relaxing. The ship offered food, drinks, and a buffet, along with a live band performance. The lead singer even sang a few Chinese songs, which was very thoughtful. There were also dance performances; you could join in if you liked. The sunset was absolutely stunning, definitely worth the ticket price.
