Castle of Santa Barbara
Santa Barbara Castle was established in the 16th century, and the history of this area goes back even further. Items from the Iberian and Roman periods of the Bronze Age have been found on the mountain. Now, the castle has become a landmark of Alicante. There is an elevator on the side near the sea, but there is a charge for taking the elevator in the mountains, and it is free when you get down. There are many paths behind the castle to climb to the castle, and the top can overlook the whole city and the seaside. great hike, absolute spectacular views as you can see 1000% worth the experience, approx take 30-1 hour to get up there. museums as well but didn’t go in them.

Beautiful place, rich with history and an abundance of instagrammable shots for the social media moguls. I would advise booking tickets in advance as they sell out and make sure you include the Nasrid palace to it and immerse yourself in the history of these wonderful moorish buildings.

Through a natural pine forest, beutiful beach,quiet and regularly cleaned.Need to watch undercurrent,can catch you out.Nudidt beach on right hand side of path.
