Jagdish Temple
Jagdish Temple is a temple in Udaipur, featuring intricate carvings on its walls and exterior, located just 150m north of the City Palace entrance. It was built in 1651 by Maharana Jagat Singh. Jagdish Temple is one of the finest architectural wonders of the Mewar Dynasty. Jagdish Temple showcases the Indo-Aryan style of architecture. The temple was built keeping in mind the rules of Vastu Shastra, the Hindu science of architecture. The three-storeyed temple is built on a high platform and features magnificent suspended pillars, huge airy halls and painted walls adorned with bright colours and intricate ceilings. Two huge stone elephant statues are placed at the entrance to welcome the visitors.

The structure of the Dadahari stepwell is surprisingly complex. You can walk down the steps in front of the pavilion to the bottom of the well. Go back and walk along the wall to the second floor. There are circular stairs on both sides of the well mouth that spiral upwards, which is interesting and beautiful.
