Things to do in Whittier

It's pretty good. You can see wild black bears and brown bears, which are protected after being injured in the wild and fenced for everyone to visit, as well as some other animals. It's not far from Anchorage, and you will pass by here after getting off the boat at Whittier Pier.

This park offers an easy hiking trail with great views of the glacier. It's a beautiful trail (especially during the fall foliage season) and takes you to some nice viewpoints (and to the moraine at the base of the glacier). Along the trail (and on the road leading to the parking lot) there are signs indicating where the edge of the glacier extended to in previous years (which makes the reduction in size very obvious).

It is a scenic spot worth visiting. Although it was covered with snow when I arrived here, there were relatively few tourists. But in such a magnificent place, the scenery feels really different.

What a spectacular sight, with glaciers and snow-capped mountains stretching as far as the eye can see.

The Matanuska Iceberg is a must-see attraction in Alaska. Although the ice and snow make it hard to move your hands and feet, the glacier in front of you is still very eye-catching. Such a view is really shocking.
