Xianghe is amazing!
It saved us the fatigue of long-distance travel with a baby.
The magnificent ancient architecture made for great nighttime photos.
The Yongle Changge opera performance was spectacular.
Even though my one-year-old didn't understand, he loved it!
We changed into traditional costumes at the Shangyi Bureau and felt truly immersed in the experience.
After the opera, there was a metal flower performance.
In the evening, we enjoyed a whole roasted cow and a bonfire party, with the park brightly lit.
During the day, there were continuous interactive programs throughout the area. We strolled through the intangible cultural heritage market, the snack street, the temple fair, and the children's playground.
We experienced a more vibrant and lively traditional atmosphere than in the city.
Most importantly, it was great value for money! 👍 Whether it was accommodation or entertainment, it was excellent. The chef at the local Xianghe meat pie stall told us that he had been making pie non-stop since early morning. 🥞 The scaled-down reconstruction of the old town was quite spectacular. If you have time, definitely go!
