I have to say it is the best reservation along the Kohechi Route. Very friendly and helpful staffs, yummy foods, super clean and huge onsen with very good facilities provided and it’s only me. super over expected. fully recommand!better than any one in totsukawa onsen, its really a value for money choice.
Idealy located to visit Shigisan, a 5min walk from the entrance !
A very pleasant Onsen (indoor and Outdoor) is in the hotel.
Note however that they don't serve diner and all restaurants are closed in the evening, so make sure you plan accordingly !
Wi-Fi is available in the room free of charge, and bathrobes are available. Please contact the hotel reception for details. Welcome to inquire, we will be happy to help you. Here you can enjoy intimate service, warm hospitality and a warm atmosphere. The location is excellent, the transportation is convenient, the service is thoughtful, the facilities are complete, clean and comfortable, and the environment is comfortable.
We were served a delicious meal incorporating Tenkawa's specialties.
It was my first time to have a kotatsu in my room, and it was very relaxing. Furthermore, we were provided with a hot water bottle at the foot of our futon, and it was a very well-maintained accommodation.
thank you very much.
I wanted to book another hotel, but there was no room. I booked a whole two-story villa that surprised the family. The mottled wooden beams are quiet and the old house is not stained. The tatami is floating with the warmth of the years, and every cockroach is hiding the ingenious breathing. The furnished Tang Wuheqi whispered in the morning light~ the three colors and colors condensed the charm of the Shengtang, and the painting paint~ the star river that was dark and surging in peace. It's so quiet and beautiful here, it makes people reluctant to leave. The first choice for Nara next time has since become here!
The boss is a Chinese girl who is very nice. She can introduce authentic local life suggestions, supermarkets, food, and entertainment. In addition, the traditional Japanese-style one-family structure allows you to feel the quiet local culture, which is great. In addition, the transportation is convenient, and you can get out of the bustle. Jing, it’s not far from Tsutaya Bookstore, Montball or Don Quixote, and it’s also very close to JR Nara Station.
This place was so cute and excellent. Staff didn't speak much English, but we were able to communicate easily enough. Room was Japanese Ryokan style. Tatami mats, low table. It had everything needed, shower and toilet in the room too. There is also an onsen that you can reserve for your private use. I asked for a time later at night and they still had one spot available. If you can't get a time then it is ”public use” after 22:00, which seems to mean that you might need to share if others want to join. Location was very good, right in the middle of the historic part of town and a short walk (<5 min) to Nara park to see the deer. Hotel was very nice and clean. I was here in late December and the air conditioning heater in the room was very good too.
The Japanese-style room of the hotel is just a tatami, which can accommodate up to four people. It comes with a small bathroom with old equipment, but the hygiene is acceptable. This is the only time I didn't flush the toilet seat during my 12-day trip to Japan. Fortunately, I only stayed for one night. And it is right in the scenic area, the location is very convenient, down the slope behind the famous restaurant Kikusui-ro, and adjacent to Sarusawa. Kintetsu Station and Kintetsu Station Commercial Street are only a few steps away. The first time I went to Nara, I stayed at JR Nara Station, which is a little far from Nara Park. This time I chose Kintetsu Nara Station on purpose. Next time I come to Nara, I guess I won't choose to stay there, I will stay in Osaka or Kyoto.
In order to experience tatami accommodation, I stayed here for one night.
The location is super good, right next to the Sarushaku Pond in Nara Park, not far from JR Nara Station and Konishi Street.
The tatami room is relatively small, but fortunately there is a large cupboard. The mattress is quite comfortable.
Given the super beautiful price, it doesn't matter that we only have a shared bathroom and toilet. Even if it is the price of a domestic guesthouse, the clean quality is very reassuring~

Amazing
WWuWe travel as family of 1 adult and 3 teens. Staying in a Japanese room for 3+1 for 5 nights.
Room: With all futons out, not much room to move around. So we kept our 5 carry on luggage in the hallway. Not a big issue.
Kitchen: good for simple cooking and heat up.
Location: 15 minutes walk from JR station, 9 minutes walk from Kintetsu station, no need for a taxi. Also can walk to museum Todaiji and Kasuga Tsushima. Deers downstairs in the morning. Our room has great view of the pond and pagoda.
Facilities: washing basin is on the balcony instead of with toilet and shower due to its original function as local government hostel. Public bath although not spring water, still good enough to enjoy traditional Japanese. Convenience store in basement open till 7:30pm. Small clothes drying rack is convenient for overnight underwear or socks.
Reception: great service with always someone speaks languages other than Japanese. Also it has free daily activities such as making origami deers. Great place to have a relaxed tour in Nara.
The downside of the place is the wifi signal a bit weak inside the room, while perfect near the hallway and inside the building. Also the coin laundry and dryers really need a good clean or replace the filter more regularly.
All in all, a great experience staying in the Nara Visitor Inn! Thanks!
GGuest UserAlthough the history of the homestay is a bit old, the supporting infrastructure is not bad. It is a very charming Japanese tatami accommodation. It is good to experience it for one night. You need to buy towels, toothbrushes and other things in the hotel by yourself. They provide them here. It seems to be about 100 yen (I forgot the exact price). In addition, the light in the room I stayed in needs to be pressed for a long time, otherwise the light cannot be turned on. (Room number is 213or203) I don’t know how the quilt is laid. The liner will run out of the sheets, and it is a bit dirty, and the blood stains are not cleaned. It seems that the luggage can only be placed downstairs? Because shoes are not allowed to be worn upstairs, which is not very convenient. The shower and toilet are on the first floor. There is a sink on the second floor

GGuest UserThe location is right in the shopping street and also at the Kintetsu exit, it is only 15 minutes to go to the park. The staff is warm and courteous, the hot springs are fine but quiet enough. The hotel is old but tidy, there is no daily necessities except old towels, including a blow dryer in the hot spring area, and there is nothing towels lock. Of course, this price can't be too much, remember this is a hotel. I was impressed by the invincible location and courteous staff, I can't say whether I like it or not.
GGabby1109Located in a quiet quaint neighborhood. It was storming so I didn't get an opponent to enjoy the river and it's surrounding which the accommodation was just next to. But the spacious room came as a joy but unfortunately the beddings were not comfortable. Could feel the bed springs and the pillow overly soft. Wished that they provided tatami beddings instead.
Check in details were not provided via booking on trip.com but thankfully could easily contact the owner via WhatsApp. Overall still a great experience.
GGuest UserMost enjoyable stay with very friendly and competent hosts. Our room was very large traditional tatami room overlooking nice back garden. Dinner and breakfast were excellent based on fresh local ingredients. Location could not be better, on the main street leading to Hasadera temple. If
you are looking for authentic Japanese stay we highly recommend this establishment. We hope to be back here again.

FFiona9996The transportation is very convenient. After getting off the airport bus, you can walk about 200 meters to the hotel. It is very close to various attractions in Nara. The public transportation is very convenient. The hotel also has a small hot spring area, which is also very good.
GGuest UserThis homestay is in a great location. Take a taxi from Kintetsu Nara Station to test about 1,300 yen. You can directly reach the foot of Ruocao Mountain. The next few steps are this homestay...
Facilities: Shared toilet and bathroom are really clean...the bathroom has plenty of water pressure, a bit similar to the kind of bathroom in the RV
Environment: If it is a bit insufficient, it is because the room is a bit old, so there will be a little musty smell when you come in. It will be a little crunchy when you step on the floor. The rest are very good. The location is excellent. You can see the deer outside the window. You can go to Ruocao Mountain as soon as you go out early in the morning. The deer are still sleeping.
Service: The front desk English is very good, communication is barrier-free, and will give you a map, explain how to play, the attitude is very good, the service is very thoughtful!
In short, it is really good 🥺 I like Nara very much, it is a very worthwhile trip!
