Apartments in County Dublin, Ireland

"I traveled to Dublin alone and initially wasn't planning on booking such a large place, but for safety and the overall experience, I ended up booking this apartment. It's located in an affluent area of Dublin, where people are genuinely friendly and even cars will yield to you, unlike in the UK where they'd just honk. Here, they'll even smile and wave you through. Public transport, however, is a bit tricky. Buses are hard to come by and you absolutely have to wave them down to stop. So, getting around can be a bit inconvenient. If you have to catch a flight or a ferry, you definitely need to factor in extra time – at least an additional half-hour for waiting for the bus on top of your usual travel time. For instance, I allowed an extra hour for the bus and managed to catch my ferry back to the UK, saving myself €28 on a taxi. Another bonus is that you save money on laundry since the room has washing and drying facilities. Plus, you can cook your own meals, which also saves a considerable amount. There's a supermarket nearby where you can pick up pre-prepared meals to pop in the oven. The staff's attitude was generally good. Being in Ireland, if you just complain about the British, everyone treats you wonderfully. However, the facilities were a disaster. When I checked in, there was no one at the front desk. I had to contact Trip.com to get someone to come out. Then, the main door lock was broken and couldn't be secured at all. I had to contact Trip.com again and go down to find someone. They told me they'd fix it that afternoon, but I explained that with all my belongings in the room, I wouldn't feel comfortable with them fixing it while I wasn't present, and I'd have to stay there. So I told them to just fix it after I checked out. I ended up staying in that room with the faulty lock for three nights. And since I was alone, they didn't even charge a security deposit, just made a copy of my passport for their records, which was actually quite thoughtful."

"The location is good! The room is clean and well maintained. The common areas and facilities are also great. However, only one roll of toilet paper is provided for the entire stay, and they don’t refill the toilet paper. Guests have to buy their own toilet paper, which is quite inconvenient and unfriendly for those staying only a few nights."

"The beds are comfortable. Quite well located, not too far from the center (25 minutes on foot). The Yellow Café next door is excellent for breakfast. The shower for the room isn't actually in the room itself, but it's very close by, quite spacious, and clean."

"We had an overall great experience at this hotel. It is in a quieter area of Dublin but there is plenty to see and do just a short walk away including Trinity College, the National Museum of Ireland galleries and within 15 minute walk of most major attractions. They also had good connections to the airport using the Dublin Express Bus that had quite a few stops nearby. There are some very good restaurants a short walk away from this hotel and the Leap Card can get you pretty good public transportation around the city. The hotel has studio style kitchenette apartments. We were surprised with how well equipped the little kitchens were which included multiple cooking utensils and pots. They had a Nespresso machine, kettle, toaster, mini fridge (stocked with some milk), microwave/oven and a mini dishwasher. Dishwasher tablets, dish soap, sugar, salt, pepper and a few other things were conveniently included. We made ourselves breakfast each day we were here which was easy to do because there is a Tesco Express and possibly the best bakery in Dublin just around the corner with Bread 41. The room was pretty good with plenty of outlets and even though it was a bit small there was enough space for our two large suitcases and bags. They have a small seating area with a table, a large flat screen TV, good WiFi and good lighting. The bathroom was pretty good too but we weren't a fan of the partition because it does not cover the full shower area and it was easy for water to get out of the shower. They have an all in one body wash too. The room was mostly quiet but we were there on New Year's Eve and there was one lady who had a very loud complaint in the hallway around 3 in the morning for around 15 minutes. The staff are very kind and helpful. They had no room left in their luggage storage when we arrived so they allowed us early check in which is usually 20 Euros. They have a WhatsApp ”AI” chat that you can request service through and we used it for extra towels that came up pretty quickly. The hotel has some amenities including a small restaurant/bar that has some food and coffee and paid laundry machines. Breakfast here costs 15 euros if you pre-book but if you want it the morning of it is 17 Euros. The one thing we found tricky about the hotel is that we had to use the elevator to go up and down even though we were on the first floor because all the stairwells are locked up for safety/fire protocol. Overall, a good stay for our first time in Dublin and we would consider staying here again or recommending to friends and family with similar interests to ours."

"Ho soggiornato in questo appartamento e nel complesso mi sono trovata bene. Anche se piccolo, è molto accessoriato: presenti macchinetta del caffè con cialde per i giorni di permanenza, bollitore, pentole e frigorifero, quindi comodo anche per chi vuole cucinare. L’unica vera pecca è la totale assenza di un armadio o di uno spazio adeguato per sistemare i vestiti. Per qualche motivo molti hotel pensano che vivere con la valigia aperta sul pavimento faccia parte dell’esperienza urbana. La posizione è ottima, centralissima vicino al castello, e permette di raggiungere facilmente anche Temple Bar a piedi la sera. Grazie alla posizione abbiamo visitato comodamente tutta Dublino. Unica nota negativa riguarda la prenotazione tramite  Trip.com: alcuni servizi indicati sul sito non erano realmente disponibili, come la colazione a buffet da 10 €, e inizialmente il numero di prenotazione non risultava nel sistema dell’hotel."

"Not clear with rules (no guess after 12), otherwise good stay. It's depend on the day turn not good day for myself and top that not clear with rules make slight discomfort feeling otherwise during checkout good.."

"The apartment is located right next to the River Liffey and it is convenient to go anywhere. In order to experience local life, we choose to buy and cook. The apartment’s kitchen utensils are full, cooking is convenient, and the supermarkets around the apartment can buy ingredients. Eat very well! Beef and mutton are cheap and fresh, especially milk, cheaper than water, especially good! It is a pity that I forgot to take pictures when I first entered the apartment door. After that, I didn’t take pictures any more. We are four people, two bedrooms, two living room sofa beds, one room and one room is slightly crowded, but it is okay. Very good stay experience. If you are willing to cook for yourself, you can choose an apartment."

"In the wake of the weekend, the number of travellers exploded, and there were always young Europeans staying until late at night. Our family of three-bedroom studios, bedroom with large bed and living room sofa bed, 50 square meters of space to make full use of. It is worth mentioning that the apartment facilities are very good, kitchen appliances, washing machines, refrigerators are all available, and the quality is superior, the feelings are all new, family travel can be very good to wash clothes. Because it is a roadside apartment, it is a pity that it is impossible to open the window for security reasons. Others, very good, especially want to soak the bar, very convenient. However, please note that the apartment does not provide daily cleaning and replacement of garbage services, and guests are required to maintain it themselves."
