We had a lovely stay at Balgownie Estate. The room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable, with a relaxing balcony that offered a beautiful view of the stars at night. It really added a special touch to the stay.
The breakfast buffet was generally okay, a decent selection to start the day, though not particularly outstanding.
Overall, it’s a peaceful retreat in a great location, perfect for unwinding and enjoying the beauty of the Yarra Valley.
Like the hotel vibe and friendly staff. Big free parking. Very good and big room. For some more $$$ you can get golf view, otherwise the room will face parking. Did not like the breakfast - a bit overpriced, was charged for small child as well and not that much to eat
The hotel was clean and well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and provided great service. The facilities were also in good condition, making the stay quite comfortable. The location, however, was a bit far from the city’s CBD area, but getting there was still easy thanks to the nearby tram access. Overall, a good stay with only the distance being a small downside. good view at night if you get a good room.
Short getaway to Geelong and we found this gems😍
Cosy enough for a couple👍🏽
Breakfast was simple and not too bad.
Staffs are all very friendly and helpful👍🏽
Location is quiet and convenience to go anywhere👍🏽
The rooms were spacious and the beds very comfortable.
Had dinner at Bella on Saturday night, which was a real treat. It was a set menu, which meant we tried different meals than we would normally. All were great.
The buffet breakfast had plenty of variety and the cinnamon donuts were scrumptious.
All in all, a fantastic weekend
Room is spacious but the pool is a bit small and don't feel that clean (might due to lack of lights). Hotel's location is great with easy access to the largest shopping center. Staff are super friendly and also provided us a small plate of sweets to celebrate my patterer's birthday.
It's a bit far from the city center, but there are supermarkets and a mall nearby. It was only a little over 600 for one night, and since we were driving, the free parking was a huge plus. The room was also very spacious and had some basic cooking utensils. The only letdown was the breakfast; it was just a few slices of bread with coffee and milk.
I stayed for one night at Peppers Moonah Links Resort, in Room 10 at St Georges. When we entered the room, it was extremely hot and the air conditioning was broken. When my girlfriend and I woke up, we both had back pain from the bed. I didn’t expect to have this kind of experience. The place itself was fantastic, and the service at reception was very good and friendly.

The hotel service was excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly. Our room had a city view. Both at check-in and check-out, the staff helped us with our luggage. A particularly helpful male staff member gave us a detailed introduction to nearby attractions and even showed us a shortcut to Chinatown for dinner. The location is very convenient, with plenty of free trams nearby. I would definitely stay here again.

PPugongyingdezhongziThe hotel is conveniently located right next to the T4 terminal parking lot. What's really thoughtful is the shuttle bus service (every twenty minutes, inquire at the front desk upon check-in) that takes you directly to the international departure gate at T2, which is super convenient. The hotel also has an Italian restaurant, and meals ordered are delivered to your room within 30 to 40 minutes. The room amenities are quite new and comfortable. It's perfectly suited for those catching early morning flights. The hotel service is good; the front desk staff, a very nice young lady, proactively provided information about the shuttle bus and recommended suitable timings. Two things to note: 1. Novotel and Ibis are in the same building, with separate front desks at opposite ends, so make sure you line up at the correct one; 2. The shuttle bus needs to be booked in advance, as they check names before boarding, and you might not get on without a reservation.
GGuest UserThis is a very nice resort. The interior is very clean and large. Bed is comfortable and toilet is good with jacuzzi. You will see kangaroos and cockatoos outside the cottage in the morning and evening. My kids enjoy the stay very much. However you need to either cook your own meals or drive out to eat. The drive is about 15 mins.
__M1526022****I was a bit nervous when I booked it, wondering how small a 9-square-meter room would be, but it was actually perfectly sufficient for one person. The bathroom is a bit on the smaller side, but it's adequate for an Asian person. The location is excellent, right opposite Southern Cross Station. It's a five-minute walk from the SkyBus stop, and there's a 7-Eleven right downstairs.

SSivatreeThis used to be my top choice for hotels in Melbourne for years, but this trip was quite disappointing. The carpets were old, and the closet door creaked and wouldn't close properly. What was even more frustrating was that housekeeping didn't come to clean for two days straight. Coming back to an uncleaned room after a day out was a real mood killer. I had to call multiple times to finally get it arranged.
The breakfast coffee was decent, but the variety of dishes was limited. The Chinese options were tucked away in the very corner; the char siu bao and fried noodles were extremely salty, and the pork in the siu mai was very fishy.
This is the first time I've had to complain about a hotel I chose myself... 😑

JJason的旅遊頻道The hotel website stated parking was $35, but it actually cost $40. Self-parking involved driving our own car to the adjacent parking lot, and valet parking was $95. The hotel's location was very convenient for transport, and the unique breakfast was a definite highlight. However, despite requesting a high-floor, street-view room away from the elevators, we were assigned a room right by the elevators with only a limited street view, which somewhat diminished the five-star experience. There was no in-room washing machine, and we had to send out laundry at an extra cost, which was quite inconvenient. I only booked this hotel because I wanted to experience a five-star property; however, despite its five-star rating, it just felt like something was missing.

GGuest UserThe hotel offers a convenient location with parking available right outside, making it easy for picking up guests. Rooms are generally quiet. Breakfast is provided; it offers good value if it's included in your Ctrip booking without an extra charge, otherwise, it's not worth the additional cost. It's a simple Western breakfast, and the menu doesn't change daily. While the hotel itself is reasonably clean, housekeeping standards are only average. On my first morning, there was no hot water in the bathroom; I had to run the tap for almost half an hour just to get a lukewarm shower. However, after I emailed them, the hot water issue was resolved for the remainder of my stay. Housekeeping repeatedly missed replenishing coffee, provided too few towels, and sometimes even forgot to put on pillowcases. Standard rooms are randomly assigned a queen-sized bed or twin beds. The bed was quite wobbly when turning over. The bathroom features only glass partitions, offering no light isolation or privacy. If you accidentally switch on the main light while using the toilet, you are completely exposed. It's an acceptable stay, but for the same price, you might find better options elsewhere.

JJace369I recently stayed at Novotel Melbourne on Collins, and overall it was a great experience. The location is unbeatable — right in the heart of the city, with easy access to shops, cafes, and public transport.
The rooms were clean, modern, and comfortable, with large windows overlooking Collins Street. The bed was very cozy and ensured a good night’s sleep. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially at check-in — they made everything smooth and welcoming.
Breakfast had a good variety of options, and the dining area was bright and pleasant. The gym and facilities were well-maintained, though the pool was a bit small.
Overall, it’s an excellent choice for both business and leisure stays. The combination of great location, comfort, and professional service makes it one of the best value stays in Melbourne CBD.

TTaninaz1. The remark of parking charge is unclear in trip.com. A little bit disappointed when the reception said that we have to pay.
2. The tab water has a chlorine smell somehow. Not that good to drink directly.
3. Good location, nice room, very clean, good service on site.

RRovelynWe had a fantastic two-night stay at Lancemore Crossley St. The location is perfect, right in the heart of the city with easy access to everything. The room was modern, comfortable, and super clean. We loved the attention to detail, and the staff were really friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was relaxed yet chic. Highly recommend if you're looking for a stylish and convenient spot in Melbourne!
