Hotels With Bar in Antofagasta, Chile

We spent five enjoyable nights in Our Haibitas, San Pedro de Atacama. Our room was huge, with plenty of space for our suitcases, large bathroom and a good bed. We missed a coffee machine or kettle in the room plus a few hungers on the walls. There are so many empty walls that hungers would facilitate the guests. We enjoyed the outdoor shower too although was winter time. Lovely swimming pool was not heated so even we tried to enter around 14:00 o clock the water was freezing! Breakfast was good and the two mornings we had it at the hotel was super calm because most of the guests leave earlier for excursions. For the days we had excursions leaving early morning, the hotel was preparing a take-away breakfast bag for us. We loved the cereal bar which looked home made. We had the stargazing session one of the evenings without extra fees. It was offered by the hotel to its guests. We enjoyed it a lot! Pity, I cannot recall the name of the person who gave the session (we've been told was half German). He explained everything clearly and shared his knowledge. In another location during our holidays we needed to pay for a stargazing and the session was not at all good! This one, at Our Habitas, given by this man was amazing! We didn't have any dinners or lunches at the hotel so I can comment. There are so many nice restaurants in the city so we didn't have the chance to try the one of the hotel. Upon checking, in the receptionist tried to convince us to be charged 250 dollars as a credit for any services we may use at the hotel while staying there. And that this charge would be a value for money for us rather than getting charged afterwards individually for any service provided from the hotel. She explained us that if we wouldn't get this offer, it would be more expensive afterwards to be charged individually for any service because we would have the addition of taxes. This 250 dollars would be refunded if we wouldn't use them of course, but don't forget it's the exchange rate also with your home country currency and you will never receive the exact amount back. Ourselves, we didn't take this offer by the hotel and in my opinion it was not needed if you don't plan to eat at the hotel or have a massage etc. We didn't use any of these so we did well for not getting it. Last, I would like to comment on the location of the hotel which is a ten mins walk from city centre. Yes, the road is gravel and dusty and you have to walk it all, receiving dust from the passing cars. In the late afternoon they spray the road with water for reducing the dust. Its not that a big deal but sometimes you get annoyed. It's everywhere the roads like these though. The difference with staying at the city center is that the speed limit there is lower and the cars don't create dust, where Our Habitas is located a bit on the outskirts and cars move faster. Overall a beautiful and memorable stay! We enjoyed it a lot and would stay there again when in the region. San Pedro de

The hotel is in poor condition, with old equipment and in need of renovation. As soon as I arrived, a guest was complaining about the air conditioning not working and his room was a greenhouse. I asked for a quiet room and they gave me one facing the avenue (although my colleague who arrived with me and checked in later got one with less noise). The sound of trucks going to the port enters your room, which shakes (the windows are not soundproof), the air conditioning stops working and the room smells of mold. Choose another option, as a bad stay at this hotel is guaranteed. I do not recommend.

Possui armários e criado mudos ara que possamos guardar as coisas (levando seu próprio cadeado) . A cama é confortável e a roupa de cama limpa , mas só é trocada quando você faz check out (no final de 5 dias diante de tanta poeira ela já tá levemente marrom rs) Eles alugam toalha de banho. Oferecem agua gelada filtrada e chás (de vários tipos). Todo o staff é extremamente agradável e gentil e fazem o possível para que nos sintamos bem (Mauro inclusive se disponibilizou a ir procurar uma agencia de turismo comigo- pois não tava encontrando pelo endereço do google; além de me dar de cortesia o box lunch no dia no meu check out e me deixar levar a toalha de banho alugada para o Uyuni) Para dias de passeio cedo eles ofertam um box lunch composto de um pão baguetinho (com frios e alface +tomate), suco e fruta (maça). O café da manhã ”presencial” é divino e pode ser escolhido no cardápio do bar que fica anexo ao Hostel. Bar este que vende almoço e janta também. O único problema é que o banheiro é compartilhado, externo ao quarto e de uso também de quem está no bar. Então as vezes vocês precisa sair de pijama enquanto tem gente comendo/bebendo no bar. Mas a energia do local é tão gostosa que isso torna-se relevante. Quando retornei do Uyuni fiquei em quarto misto, mas a equipe teve o cuidado de me deixar sozinha naquela noite (chegou um hospede e colocaram ele em outro quarto misto para que eu pudesse estar sozinha e não dividir o quarto com homem.) Entendo que isso não é obrigação do hostel e não quer dizer que eles vão conseguir ofertar isso para todo mundo mas achei carinhoso eles terem esse cuidado e demonstra que, o que estiver no alcance da equipe para tornar a experiência agradável,eles farão. A localização do hostel também é excelente: a poucos passos da Caracoles (a rua principal do Atacama). Você fica próximo de tudo! Recomendo muito!

The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the outdoorarea was very beautiful and relaxed. But; our room was not the cleanest, and we did not recieve houskeeping while we stayed there for 2 nights - that would not really be a problem, but when you cant throw toiletpaper in the toilet... and we had to ask for new towels. The wifi was also very bad, and some of the lightbulbs on our room was broken. The restaurant on the other hand was really good with simple, but great breakfast and other meals. A very nice hotel that has potensial, with a great location in San Pedro.

We went to Hotel Terrado in Antofagasta because it was recommended by some friends. Considering the price, the service is subpar. The location has a perfect view to the sea and it’s central enough to move around the city without any problems. However, the hotel service needs improvement if they want to attract more people traveling for leisure. After three days in the hotel where we kept our beds made and our room clean, it was an ordeal to get a maid to change our sheets and clean our room. I asked three times and finally someone went around 7 pm to do the room. That particular day we were mostly out of the room while sightseeing and visiting some friends. Every time we returned to the hotel to change clothes or to use the bathroom, we realized the room was still in disarray. The receptionist Valentina was particularly concerned and helpful. Finally we got a maid to come, I felt bad for her because it was so late in the day, she probably wanted to go home. The breakfast buffet was excellent and also the waiting staff ( very kind and helpful). The restaurant of the hotel has good quality of food and drinks. However, the host of the restaurant was enthralled with her phone and when I asked why nobody was taking my order she said “we open at 1 pm” ( it was 1:07 pm). She freaked out when she realized it was actually time to start working. Some of the staff didn’t realize we were lodging in the hotel and rudely told us we didn’t have a reservation to use a table at dinner time (We’ve been in the hotel for three days by then). It’s ok not to know we were guests, it’s not ok the way they ask, in front of everyone, in an annoyed tone, and loudly. The manager of the hotel compensated our consume of a few drinks and cake the day of the cleaning the room mishap. We were grateful. One supervisor came to us to tell us about the free food/drinks and he was nice, until he started a weird diatribe about him being Mapuche instead of Chilean ( legally he is also Chilean in spite of being Mapuche…) Then he informed us ( mostly me, because my husband doesn’t speak Spanish) that Chileans are a horrible group of mixed races including “Spaniards, Arabs and Jews”. I was so shocked I just told him I also have Mapuche blood plus many other nationalities ( guess what… including Spaniard, Arab and Jewish). Everybody is entitled to their opinions and views, but when working in the hospitality industry, one need to be careful not to offend the guests. By the way, I’m Chilean with American citizenship. For once I was glad my husband didn’t understand Spanish. The next day a friend of mine came to visit with me and we went to the hotel restaurant to have a cup of coffee and water. All the days I’ve been there I didn’t charge anything to my room, because I prefer to pay as I go and keep all the receipts. The day of arrival, besides paying our stay in full, we paid a warranty of around $ 350 (approximately) to cover any charges or incidentals. I was sharing time with my

The first floor lobby spills into an enormous dining room/work hall with plenty of seating and a variety of table heights (great for me to work sitting then move to a standing position). Lots of natural light and you can people watch through the windows. 24 hour attention @ the front desk and wifi speeds work GREAT in the room and best in the lobby. Brekkie is included in your rate and very good compared to other breakfasts we have eaten throughout our stay in Chile, including eggs made to order. Cafeteria offers buffet style or a la carte lunch + dinner. The sandwich we had for dinner was average, but keep in mind there are not many restaurants open on a Sunday in the area. Secure, off-street parking and we found that ~33% of the front desk staff we encountered spoke some English. NEGATIVES: 1) The room size is tight, but fine, except that there did not seem to be much air flow. This led to us sleeping with the window cracked for circulation, but the street noise is a distraction throughout the night. Bring ear plugs. 2) The included gym is a good thought but does not have free weights/weight lifting equipment; only cardio. For ~$6 USD/$5000 CHP there is a full gym 1 block away where you can buy a day pass. 3) Hotel contract mentions a safe in the room, but we did not see one in ours?! That would have been a useful touch. 4) I know the hotel cannot help its location, but I do not believe this is in the ”best” area of town. That being said, Calama is a bit rough anyway so the entire city itself statistically is not as safe as the aggregate of Chile. Case in point, EVERYONE tells you to not be out after sunset and the day of our arrival a poor teen was stabbed ~5 blocks from the hotel. This does not reflect in my rating of the hotel, but travelers should know that going into Calama/this hotel.

Melhor hotel que ficamos em viagens pelos Chile. Foi um prazer, atenção nota 10, café da manhã delicioso, abundante e variado, ****** que dava pra ver do lobby, pra quem tem criança e não pode entrar é um gostinho bem interessante. Perto da praia para caminhar e ao lado da avenida com os restaurantes. A piscina estava em reforma quando chegamos, mas abriu antes e aproveitamos, além de ter recebido uma compensação em voucher. Ah, o restaurante por preço fixo está maravilhoso e é sem dúvida um imperdível.

The hotel was the best of staff care; they were always attentive and willing to solve any disadvantages. We were welcomed with a welcome drink and as the first to check in at the new hotel reception, we were allocated a room above the contracted. The rooms were perfectly clean, everything was very nice and worked perfectly; the rooms were wide and comfortable. Breakfast was very rich and varied. The restaurant is a 10: quality products, very well prepared and presented. The hotel has a well-protected parking within the property and with security staff.

We wanted a confortable bed with duvet ( not heavy blankets) and a decent shower. We got that. But from the start there were issues. The extra bed in the triple room wasnt done and there were hairs on the mattress. The shower was burning hot. No cold water.! We had to go twice downstairs to get a man to fix it. We had problem to get Internet and had yet again to go downstairs to get help. (There is no way of contacting reception so we spent the first hour going down many times.) Internet does work. We waited for the third bed to be cleaned and done but at the end we had to do the bed ourselves. The air con didn't work despite the fact that the technician was there fixing the water. He looked at it and decided it works. Well it didn't. 🌝Breakfast was good. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The problems were sorted. The location of the hotel is good. You can easily walk into town or go to the modern shopping mall where you find cash point and money exchange at good rates.

We booked a 4 night stay directly with the hotel. They respond promptly to requests and questions. The hotel is about a 1.5-hour drive from Calama Airport. The staff at this hotel are pleasant, attentive, and accommodating. The check-in/out process was quick and easy. The restaurant has excellent food and service. There is a turn down service. Our room was spacious, clean, and well maintained. Wi-Fi connection throughout the property was very good. Desertica gives guests a refillable water bottle. We had access to filtered water in the hotel. The grounds are gorgeous. This property is conveniently located at the edge of the town center within a short walk to shops, stores, and restaurants. We were glad we decided to stay here.

My favorite hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Amazing excursions that are all unique and special. This was a standout unique thing about this hotel. Also the food was legit amazing. It is in a gorgeous and peaceful setting, and everyone is jet setting around during the day so there’s a very good chance of getting one of the small pools all to yourself. Also loved the planetarium, mostly because the dude giving the talk was so passionate and funny. Loved all of our guides including - Gustavo and Fabi.

My favorite hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Amazing excursions that are all unique and special. This was a standout unique thing about this hotel. Also the food was legit amazing. It is in a gorgeous and peaceful setting, and everyone is jet setting around during the day so there’s a very good chance of getting one of the small pools all to yourself. Also loved the planetarium, mostly because the dude giving the talk was so passionate and funny. Loved all of our guides including - Gustavo and Fabi.

SPDA is an unusually and obnoxiously overpriced town with the likes of the usual Suspects I am glad we found this hotel to stay in for 3 nights. It’s well located , well appointed with friendly staff and very nice rooms. They were very prompt in their responses during our planning process. The excursions arranged by this hotel were excellent. We visited the valley de Luna, Rainbow valley, Yerba Buena, Laguna Chaxa and the Altiplanic Lakes. The guided and the tours were superb. Definitely a must for luxury travelers who do not want to get taken for a ride.

The hotel is in poor condition, with old equipment and in need of renovation. As soon as I arrived, a guest was complaining about the air conditioning not working and his room was a greenhouse. I asked for a quiet room and they gave me one facing the avenue (although my colleague who arrived with me and checked in later got one with less noise). The sound of trucks going to the port enters your room, which shakes (the windows are not soundproof), the air conditioning stops working and the room smells of mold. Choose another option, as a bad stay at this hotel is guaranteed. I do not recommend.

We went to Hotel Terrado in Antofagasta because it was recommended by some friends. Considering the price, the service is subpar. The location has a perfect view to the sea and it’s central enough to move around the city without any problems. However, the hotel service needs improvement if they want to attract more people traveling for leisure. After three days in the hotel where we kept our beds made and our room clean, it was an ordeal to get a maid to change our sheets and clean our room. I asked three times and finally someone went around 7 pm to do the room. That particular day we were mostly out of the room while sightseeing and visiting some friends. Every time we returned to the hotel to change clothes or to use the bathroom, we realized the room was still in disarray. The receptionist Valentina was particularly concerned and helpful. Finally we got a maid to come, I felt bad for her because it was so late in the day, she probably wanted to go home. The breakfast buffet was excellent and also the waiting staff ( very kind and helpful). The restaurant of the hotel has good quality of food and drinks. However, the host of the restaurant was enthralled with her phone and when I asked why nobody was taking my order she said “we open at 1 pm” ( it was 1:07 pm). She freaked out when she realized it was actually time to start working. Some of the staff didn’t realize we were lodging in the hotel and rudely told us we didn’t have a reservation to use a table at dinner time (We’ve been in the hotel for three days by then). It’s ok not to know we were guests, it’s not ok the way they ask, in front of everyone, in an annoyed tone, and loudly. The manager of the hotel compensated our consume of a few drinks and cake the day of the cleaning the room mishap. We were grateful. One supervisor came to us to tell us about the free food/drinks and he was nice, until he started a weird diatribe about him being Mapuche instead of Chilean ( legally he is also Chilean in spite of being Mapuche…) Then he informed us ( mostly me, because my husband doesn’t speak Spanish) that Chileans are a horrible group of mixed races including “Spaniards, Arabs and Jews”. I was so shocked I just told him I also have Mapuche blood plus many other nationalities ( guess what… including Spaniard, Arab and Jewish). Everybody is entitled to their opinions and views, but when working in the hospitality industry, one need to be careful not to offend the guests. By the way, I’m Chilean with American citizenship. For once I was glad my husband didn’t understand Spanish. The next day a friend of mine came to visit with me and we went to the hotel restaurant to have a cup of coffee and water. All the days I’ve been there I didn’t charge anything to my room, because I prefer to pay as I go and keep all the receipts. The day of arrival, besides paying our stay in full, we paid a warranty of around $ 350 (approximately) to cover any charges or incidentals. I was sharing time with my

Melhor hotel que ficamos em viagens pelos Chile. Foi um prazer, atenção nota 10, café da manhã delicioso, abundante e variado, ****** que dava pra ver do lobby, pra quem tem criança e não pode entrar é um gostinho bem interessante. Perto da praia para caminhar e ao lado da avenida com os restaurantes. A piscina estava em reforma quando chegamos, mas abriu antes e aproveitamos, além de ter recebido uma compensação em voucher. Ah, o restaurante por preço fixo está maravilhoso e é sem dúvida um imperdível.

Excellent location, safe environment, supermarkets and services nearby. Very pleasant and comfortable rooms . It is close to the coastal edge and the front of the Brazilian park that is very beautiful. I recommend taking the option with buffet breakfast because it is convenient and very rich.

I enjoyed my stay at Ibis Styles in Antofagasta very much. The whole staff is super friendly, helpful and professional. The rooms are not too small and not too big. I appreciate the environmental concept of the hotel, where they advise guests how to save water and do their part for the planet, and yet nothing is missing from the comfort. I could rest very well in the cozy bed with the soft sheets. The breakfast buffet offers everything one needs for a great start in the day. I can highly recommend this accommodation.

OK checkout begins exactly at 3pm...we were there at 2:45pm and the reception person (male) was a problem...There were plenty of rooms available but he had his orders: 3pm and no sooner. Perhaps we could get the paperwork done in advance? (2) AVOID the dinner in the restaurant: average food at best; small portions and very high price. (Maybe have a hamburger if hungry - there are a number of small places just down the road (north) that are better and much less expensive. (3) Internet: in the rooms it is not very good (slow...especially at peak times). They do have a business connection which allows one to plug a laptop directly into a router...but these days who carries that cord with them? Hotel will not lend you one..Finally (3) shower: water pressure not great and water is warm only - especially at peak times (like 730am when you most want to take a shower). This hotel seems to have been designed (or maintained) for times of minimal use...”rush hour” reveals its many flaws. Air BnB's much (much) better value in Antofagasta - go that route instead.

The room is spacious and the bed is moderately hard and soft. Hygiene: Generally clean and tidy. Environment: Located by the sea, the restaurant is opposite to the sea view, the environment is elegant, and the breakfast is a buffet breakfast with some changes every day.
