The view is great. The front desk is friendly, helpful and accommodating. When we had questions or concerns they answered immediately via wechat. But aside from the friendly service and the great view, the hotel room itself is not worth the price. We stayed in the 270 duplex with large pool. The pool is that- a small sized jacuzzi that CAN NOT be heated. I donât know why the hotel wouldnât allow it to be heated, I am not going to sit in freezing water and look at the view on a cold evening in December. Do not be fooled the pool cannot be used in the winter it is just too cold. We arrived for a 2 nights stay and the pool was at 19â we pushed the heat button but it only got up to 28â which isnât warm enough even for epic photos to try and pretend.
My other issue is the heating for the room. The hotel staff let us know that the window should be shut in the evening because there can be mosquitos as we are near the river. However the heating unit in the room can only heat, no air conditioning is available so if you want the upstairs bedroom to be any sort of cool livable temperature you must have the window open at night for air, leading to the choice of air or bugs. We had to leave the window open because heat rises and the upstairs was too hot so we slept with moths that flew in the open window. The upstairs has no ventilation or airflow so onceâs it is hot it is hard to cool down.
Housekeeping was clean and quick, service was good but there are a lot better deals to be had in Chongqing, the main reason for the low rating is the high price doesnât match what you are receiving. Paying over 300USD per night I would think it would cover the price to heat the âpoolâ. I would stay somewhere less expensive with a jacuzzi that can be heated instead of a âpoolâ. Or maybe check out the less expensive rooms in this hotel with a bathtub bc the hotel itself is very nice, just this specific room was a disappointment for the large price tag.
If youâve read this far do note you need to take the elevator to the 30th floor then a different elevator to the 38th floor for check in then back to your floor which ours was on the 33rd floor. (Multiple elevators are very common in Chongqing hotels. This is no issue for us and doesnât have to do with the rating- just a quick note how to enter if you do end up staying here.)

We went there with our friendâs family. 4 adults and a baby. We enjoyed our stay since it was very close to the main touristic spots. It also has a swimming pool that is good for kids to play in and the view was amazing. The place was clean and peaceful. The staff was very friendly and they even gave us the opportunity of a late check out for the little baby to have his afternoon nap.

This hotel is my first choice for business trips! The room has a small table and a very comfortable small sofa. The internet speed is super fast. Even though there's no window, the room isn't stuffy and has no strange odors. The fast internet significantly boosts work efficiency. The best part is the laundry facilities; I specifically looked for a hotel where I could wash clothes. It's a shame there's no breakfast, but I understand, as there are many great food options nearby, offering more choices, which is perfect for late risers like me. The location is excellent, very close to where I needed to be, which saved me a lot of hassle!

I stumbled upon this hotel during my trip, and it's incredibly convenient regarding transportation. It's right next to the monorail station, with lines 1, 2, and 6 easily accessible. It's also within walking distance of many popular attractions like Shibati, Hongyadong, the cable car, and the Mountain City Trail. The hotel is on the 29th floor, so it's very quiet and not noisy at all. The soundproofing is excellent, and the high-floor window views are expansive, with a beautiful night view that's really comfortable to look at. Staying here is truly chill! The rooms are equipped with smart assistants, so you just say âXiao Du Xiao Duâ for voice control. You don't even need to manually open the curtains â perfect for someone lazy like me!

I specifically chose this highly-rated 'influencer' hotel for my trip, and it certainly didn't disappoint! The location is unparalleled, with unobstructed high-floor views directly facing the Raffles landmark. No filters are needed for photos here; every shot looks amazing, especially at dusk when the setting sun hits Raffles' glass facade â the golden shimmer is absolutely breathtaking. The room decor is stylish and minimalist, with a clean and fresh overall color scheme. Light colors paired with metallic elements give it a luxurious feel. Every corner of the room is photogenic â the sofa area, by the window, the bathroom â you can strike a pose anywhere and it looks great. The highlight is definitely the famous transparent bathtub, placed by the window directly overlooking Raffles. Taking a hot bath while enjoying the city view and relaxing your mind is pure bliss! The bathtub also comes with ambient lighting and aromatherapy, making the experience feel truly special. The facilities are comprehensive: a smart toilet, HD TV, mini-bar â everything you could need. The bedding is soft and skin-friendly, making for a very comfortable stay. The bathroom is wet/dry separated, and the toiletries are from a niche fragrance brand that smells wonderful. The service is also very thoughtful; the staff are warm and attentive, check-in was quick, and they even offered welcome drinks. Any requests were promptly addressed. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit!
Let's cut to the chase: I stayed from December 27th to January 1st. The room rate was a little over 1,000 RMB per night (excluding breakfast). Personally, I found the value for money to be average. If the price were around 600 RMB, I'd definitely choose this hotel again for my next trip to Chongqing.
Facilities: To get here by taxi, set your destination to Fudian Bank. The roadside signs are very clear, so it's easy to find. The hotel's main entrance is surprisingly small, about the same size as a regular room door, which feels a bit underwhelming.
My room type was 270° (windows on the east and south sides, offering a diagonal view of Hongyadong). The room layout was very practical: to the left upon entering was the vanity area. The Dyson hairdryer was great, and the square, recessed basin had both hot and cold water. To the right was the restroom; the toilet was a traditional one, not a smart bidet. The shower, however, had an issue: the water temperature was unstable, either too hot or too cold. It took some time to find a comfortable temperature, and this range seemed to shift daily for some unknown reason.
There's a partition separating the bed area from the entrance hallway, which creates a good sense of space. The bedding was standard, but the mattress was on the softer side. By the third day, my back started to ache. I'm not sure if it was from all the uphill walking in Chongqing or if the bed was simply too soft for me. Only soft pillows were provided by default; you could request a latex pillow from the front desk, but buckwheat pillows weren't available.
The bathtub deserves special praise. It's a double Jacuzzi with six jets and two small lights at the bottom, making for a very relaxing soak. There's a window on the side of the tub, so you won't feel suffocated even after a long soak, and the water temperature, even at its hottest, wasn't scalding, which was perfect. There's a very large area around the tub to place your phone, tablet, or even takeout food and fruit. It would be perfect if there was a bathtub caddy across it.
The projector was also quite good. The screen is hidden in the ceiling; lowering it was a bit noisy and took a while, but it was acceptable. Unfortunately, the speaker is integrated into the projector and located in a corner, so the sound is very directional, only coming from one side, which diminishes the viewing experience when lying in bed.
Regarding the noise issues I read about in other reviews before checking in, subjectively speaking! My room had four windows. One on the east side (by the bathtub) directly faced the elevated highway. I kept it open while bathing but closed it otherwise, and it didn't affect my sleep. The two south-facing windows were open throughout my stay and didn't cause any disturbance. The bathroom window was also always open. It's certainly not absolutely silent, but it didn't interfere with my sleep. The curtains are electric and integrated, with minimal light leakage during the day, which was acceptable.
Of course, there were also some points that left me speechless. First, the hotel has central air conditioning. During my stay, there were two sunny days in Chongqing, and the room temperature was high. There was no way to turn on the cooling function individually. Second, the hotel has a mini-fridge, but it didn't cool! The hotel offered two solutions: one, put anything you want to chill in the bar (which is incredibly inconvenient), or two, call for an ice bucket anytime. That was okay, they usually delivered it within five to ten minutes, but I still couldn't understand why the fridge didn't work. Third, the hotel only provides three complimentary drinks (one Pepsi, one 7UP, one Mirinda) upon check-in. After that, they only replenish regular bottled water daily, so the mini-bar is virtually non-existent (though there is a capsule coffee machine, and capsules are refilled).
Service: Overall, there's a lot of room for improvement. There was quite a significant difference in service attitude between daytime and nighttime staff. However, most requests were met.
The cleaning staff usually came between 4 PM and 5 PM. The room was very clean, big kudos to the hard-working auntie! There was a small sign in the room listing many useful small items that could be delivered to the room, such as dental floss, insect repellent, and even power strips. I forgot to take pictures, but you can see them in other reviewers' photos; this was a really nice touch.
For takeout, if you specify your room number, the delivery person can bring it directly to your door. If you ordered multiple deliveries that didn't arrive simultaneously, the front desk could help wait for all of them and send them up together.
Hygiene: I didn't notice any issues; generally good.
It's a bit disappointing that the hotel doesn't offer a view of the New Year's Eve drone show; it's obstructed. However, the night view is excellent. Lying in bed with the lights off, gazing at the river view and the bustling traffic outside, was very relaxing.

Great location in Jiefangbei and absolute value for money. Comfortable bed and pillows, awesome view from 44th-46th floors. Huge projector screen for viewing TV programmes, large selection from hotel's Tencent membership. Relatively small breakfast area but there's a noodle and egg station besides the ready-to-eat options. Located right next to Chaotianmen station line 1 and is a few minutes' walk from Raffles City shopping centre. It's a pity that the weather was bad on the Saturday night that the drone show was supposed to be take place or else we could have caught a snippet from our room or the lobby. Friendly reception staff at check-in/checkout and helpful butler service that provided advice via WeChat
Kempinski has been open for over a decade now. Upon checking in, I noticed that all the furnishings and facilities in the room, while perhaps excellent in their time, are now showing their age. The Sony TV, though a bit small, still has good picture quality. However, many of the room's features suffer from a lack of maintenance. Numerous buttons were slow to respond; for example, with the automatic curtains, I had to press the button many times before it would finally work. The TV remote also required multiple presses to get a reaction. The bedside lamp switch would turn the light on for a moment, then it would immediately flicker off. The mini-bar was extremely basic, offering only NescafĂŠ instant coffee and simple tea bags, with just two bottles of mineral water. What was most bizarre was finding the mini-fridge locked, despite there being a price list for drinks in the mini-bar. After calling housekeeping, the fridge was unlocked when we returned, but it was completely empty. What are we supposed to consume then? What's the point of having a price list? The bed and pillows were both too soft; as soon as you sat on the bed, you would sink into the middle. The overall service awareness at this hotel doesn't live up to a five-star standard. Throughout my stay, aside from a cleaning lady on my floor who proactively greeted me, everyone else provided silent service, never speaking unless explicitly asked. There was supposed to be a complimentary 500ml fresh beer, but the front desk didn't mention it at check-in. When I called from my room to inquire, the person on the phone wasn't sure how to handle it at the front desk and didn't follow up on the issue. Breakfast variety was just average. I had hoped the European bread would be good, but there was only baguette and toast, and other dishes were also quite ordinary. The only thing that left a strong impression was the freshly cooked rice noodles, which had a very well-seasoned broth, and you could add pickled vegetables yourself. There was also no salt or pepper on the dining tables; you had to ask a server for them.

This was the most satisfying hotel I stayed at during my Chongqing trip. It's located right by the Yangtze River with a superb environment. It's also very convenient for visiting Baidicheng and the Summit of the Three Gorges. The owner even upgraded us for free to a 270-degree river view room, which had an unbeatable view. The breakfast was quite rich as well, and enjoying the sunrise over the river while eating breakfast was fantastic. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Fengjie, and I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in town.

The hotel environment is clean, tidy, and exudes elegant restraint. Both the lounge and Ba Lang restaurant offer first-class food. We were pleasantly surprised by the many Christmas decorations throughout the hotel. GGuest UserBeautiful property with Michelin quality.
Love Sunyata Ren-aiâs modern architecture and interior designed around its history. The rooms are thoughtfully appointed yet highly functional - a rarity for heritage hotels. For instance, the standalone mid-century wood wardrobe reminds you of what a priest would have in his room yet it opens up with plenty of storage and is lit internally. There are no awkward corners on the property, and space is strategically used and designed with a gorgeous mix of textures and colours.Â
Extremely hospitable service - hotel staff are wonderfully helpful and reach out ahead of your stay to follow up on details. That was how they found out my luggage had burst from a faulty zip and way too many books - immediately arranged for additional person to be on standby with a box for the books. During the stay, they worried about whether i needed extra binding for the luggage and then also had 3 colleagues on standby on checkout to help me bring my stuff out (xiaofan, ningning and xiaogan) who waited by the street with me to see me off. Honestly they were more worried than i was! And this is the pinnacle of hospitality where hotel takes greater ownership on addressing and pre-empting your concerns.Â
Room inclusions are great:Â
1. Breakfast is set in a beautiful restaurant in a stone basement. Selection is small but competently executed. The noodles are perfectly seasoned, fruits are fresh, coffee strong.
2. Afternoon tea - i had thought they would casually bring out the usual scones and sandwiches the kitchen was going to make on the fly, but it came instead with a choice of coffee and their desserts on display for sale. This means you get an intricate dessert - for free!
3. Supper - given my work and flight itinerary, i ordered in their complimentary supper, delivered at 9pm. again, not a matter of leftovers. They brought in beautifully plated 4 dishes for both nights, balanced in terms of staples, taste, texture, which is sufficient to satiate you without overfilling you for the nightâs rest.
4. Photography - we all know the prowess of Chinese photography. i was apprehensive as iâm usually behind the camera and i wasnât dressed for the occasion nor had professional makeup - the 3 weeks of non-stop work commitments showed! However, the energy and kindness of the photographers made the session really enjoyable, and not to mention the hotel provided an unmatched background for phototaking. They also edited the photos within an hour for you to choose from - you get the first 5 free, but youâd be tempted (AND PLS DO) to choose more.
In terms of location, this is a destination hotel, blending beautifully in Mountain City Alley, with all the modern creature comforts. You wake up in the morning to empty walkways, interrupted only by birds and curious cats. The street livens up to little shops selling trinkets, vintage pieces, coffee (many of them), clothes and snacks. In the evenings, the light warms to an orange hue and you watch the sunset over the city in the quiet of your room. Mountain City Alley is not (yet)as commercialised as other ancient towns (each selling the same suite of souvenirs and mala soup base) and each shop had its own personality. Hotel is perched near the peak of the mountain city alley. if travelling by car, youâd need to drop off at Jiashi Old Folksâ Home and take the stairs (5min) down to the hotel which has a discreet corridor next to the church. Hence those with mobility issues - consider yourself warned.Â

GginqueenHotel is in an excellent location, in the heart of Jiefangbei. Numerous of food choices around. While room is not very big, it is very well maintained and clean. There's a one-tim complimentary drinks and cocktails (don't expect much) at the hotel's revolving restaurant and bar. Breakfast is pretty decent (as compared to the local hotel standards) and has a good spread. There's a gym and laundry room. Teenagers and youngsters will like the vibe of this hotel. Just to mention, there's an external massage parlour operator at level 6 of the hotel building where there's freeflow food and drinks offered during massage service in a projector room. Overall a very pleasant stay at Moxy, highly recommended!

DDr. OscarLongmen Pu Village: A Serene Escape into Chongqing's Mountain Charm
As an avid traveler, I recently had the pleasure of experiencing Longmen Pu Village, a remarkable resort nestled in the heart of Chongqing's stunning mountain landscape. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the seamless blend of modern comforts and the region's rich, traditional charm.
The resort's accommodations are a true delight â beautifully designed rooms that effortlessly combine sleek, contemporary aesthetics with the warmth and character of the local countryside. The attention to detail is truly impressive, creating a sense of tranquility and authenticity that is all too rare in today's hospitality landscape.
One of the standout features of my stay was the opportunity to explore the entire village on my last night. Navigating the winding paths felt like stepping into an adventure game, with new discoveries at every turn. The sense of wonder and excitement I felt was akin to being a child again, truly immersed in the magic of the mountain setting.
The service at Longmen Pu Village is equally impressive. Prior to my arrival, I had connected with the customer service team on WeChat, and they were well-prepared and attentive to my needs. Upon check-in, I was welcomed with delectable local Chongqing specialties, a delightful introduction to the culinary delights that awaited me.
The highlight of my stay, however, was the opportunity to enjoy the stunning sunsets from various vantage points around the resort, cigar in hand and fresh fruit nearby. These moments of peaceful contemplation, immersed in the beauty of the mountains, will be etched in my memory forever.
Beyond the breathtaking views, the resort also offered engaging activities that allowed me to fully immerse myself in the local culture. I had the privilege of learning the art of potting plants and marveling at the impressive bonsai tree collection, a true treat for a plant enthusiast like myself. The calligraphy session at the on-site tea house was also a wonderful experience, providing a moment of tranquil meditation amidst the adventure.
While I would recommend Longmen Pu Village to any traveler seeking a unique and authentic escape, I would advise international guests to have a basic understanding of the Chinese language or be prepared to utilize translation apps. This slight challenge, however, is well worth the reward of experiencing this remarkable resort.
In conclusion, Longmen Pu Village is a true gem, a resort that has masterfully preserved the local charm and flavor of Chongqing's stunning mountain region. Whether you're seeking a serene retreat or an immersive cultural experience, this resort delivers an unforgettable journey that I wholeheartedly recommend.

GGuest UserThis is hands down the most comfortable hotel I've ever stayed at under the Huazhu Group! The front desk staff were incredibly welcoming, and even the cleaning staff I encountered in the elevator greeted me warmly.
The breakfast was delicious, especially the *chaoshou* (spicy wontons)! I was pleasantly surprised to find they even offered *bingfen* (a local jelly dessert). The restaurant's ambiance was beautiful, making dining a real pleasure.
I was very satisfied with both the bedding and the shampoo provided. I'll definitely choose this hotel again on my next trip to Chongqing.
