This guesthouse is quite deep inside Changping Valley, and the window view directly faces Siguniang Mountain. If you're lucky with the weather, you can lie down and watch the golden 'sun-kissed' mountain peaks. To reach the hotel, you need to go through a village road, but the hotel staff member was very thoughtful and provided video navigation, making it easy to arrive. The check-in reception was also very warm and considerate; you feel the warmth everywhere.

The Sky-High Hot Spring Hotel was an absolute surprise on this trip! The main highlights have to be the elevated hot springs and the incredible design, which perfectly aligned with my aesthetic preferences. The room was primarily Wabi-sabi style, with custom solid wood furniture paired with simple white sheer curtains, creating a serene and luxurious atmosphere. Every corner exuded sophistication, making every casual photo look like a masterpiece. The 270-degree panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows were stunning, framing the Leshan city view like a flowing painting. Soaking in the private hot spring, you can gaze at the bustling city by day and sleep under the magnificent nightscape, all while enjoying complimentary bath salts or milk baths, and watching movies on the giant projector screen – the ambiance was absolutely perfect. The entire room featured smart controls, and the arched doorway bathroom with wet and dry separation showcased quality in every detail. The hotel's convenient location and thoughtful amenities, whether for a romantic getaway or a girls' trip, guarantee an ultimately relaxing experience. It's definitely on my 'must-stay' list for Leshan!

The hotel is indeed beautifully renovated, and the rooms are large and comfortable. They have a great variety of play facilities for kids, and the breakfast is exceptionally rich. However, I'd like to offer a small suggestion. As a hotel that primarily caters to families, I recommend some improvements to the swimming pool changing rooms. Your rule about boys over six years old needing to use the men's changing room is understandable, but you should also consider situations where only the mother brings a boy over six. For example, on this trip, my husband, who works in the public security system, had an urgent assignment and couldn't come. I brought my child alone, and it was quite inconvenient. My son is six and a half, and I certainly wasn't comfortable letting him go into the changing room by himself. Luckily, one of the fathers from our group took him to the men's changing room. So, I suggest you could add a family changing room, similar to how many malls now have third restrooms.

The cleanliness was exceptional. The entire room, including the bedding and bathroom, was spotless and fresh. The public areas and even the garden/vegetable patch were maintained to a very high standard, showing great attention to detail. The ambiance is elegant and grand, and the central location makes getting around incredibly convenient. The garden offers a quiet, refined atmosphere, where you might even spot some cute cats. The executive lounge is peaceful and comfortable, contributing to an overall wonderful vibe. Michelle, our butler, was attentive and thoughtful throughout our stay, responding promptly to all requests. The turndown service with chocolates was a lovely, heartwarming touch. The facilities are excellent and provide a great experience. The in-room mini-fridge was complimentary, and the breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, with beautifully presented coffee art and authentic local noodles.

As a husband and a father, I don’t just look for comfort—I look for peace of mind. This hotel delivered both. Service was fast, thoughtful, and genuinely warm. Everything was clean, organized, and effortless, which matters when you’re traveling with family. The environment feels premium yet welcoming, not stiff. My family felt safe, relaxed, and well taken care of from the moment we arrived. Location is a huge win—surrounded by some of the best food Chengdu has to offer, with easy access everywhere. This isn’t just a place to sleep. It’s a place where a family can truly rest. Classy, reliable, and worth every cent.

This is my umpteenth stay at the Ritz-Carlton Chengdu, and the standards are consistently excellent. During check-in, a friendly young man named Luca brought me some herbal tea. After a brief chat, he later delivered a thoughtful, handwritten welcome card to my room before dinner. Of all the five-star and ultra-five-star hotels I've stayed at in Chengdu, the Ritz-Carlton's Executive Lounge offers the most attentive service. From breakfast at 6:30 AM right through to evening desserts at 10 PM, they continuously provide a wonderful array of thoughtful services. I've included some photos of the breakfast and dinner spreads – they're incredibly rich and varied. Plus, for both lunch and dinner, they offer two freshly prepared dishes, like duck breast and pasta, made to order. Every staff member I encountered in the Executive Lounge was exceptionally warm, attentive, proactive, and anticipated my needs. Of course, breakfast is also available at the main restaurant in the lobby on the 25th floor. The variety there is truly astounding; just the noodle bar alone offers six different options (as shown in the pictures). I ate so much that morning, I didn't want to leave. All in all, this is the best hotel experience I've had in Chengdu. Honestly, the price isn't even that high, making it excellent value for money. I will definitely choose to stay here again.

Facilities: Overall, the stay was quite comfortable with no major issues. The room was spacious, featuring a small living room area where we could relax and enjoy some tea. The bathroom was large, and the vanity counter was big and practical, allowing us to place many items. The showerhead could use an upgrade; a higher-quality one with a more comfortable water flow would be a good idea. A nice touch about this B&B is the more personalized feel of the toiletries and attention to detail. For instance, new disposable toilet seat covers were provided daily. The bedding was decent, neither too soft nor too firm. The heating worked well, making the room warm quickly after being turned on. The lobby on the first floor has a lounge area with children's toys, which my son loved and played with every day upon our return. The backyard garden is beautifully designed, perfect for groups to gather around a tea stove and chat. Cleanliness: Generally clean. The tea set we used the night before was cleaned by the staff the next day. Environment: The back of the property faces old residential buildings, and I personally found the soundproofing to be mediocre. My room was in a corner, but I could still hear doors closing in the hallway. Thankfully, it generally quieted down around midnight. The interior decor of the room was decent, depending on personal taste. Service: The front desk service was good, with staff being enthusiastic and polite. The complimentary fruit was very fresh, and there was also a small snack bag. Afternoon tea only included two drinks, and the Americano was just so-so. Breakfast was semi-buffet; after finishing the set meal, if you're still hungry, you can opt for the buffet. The set meal varied daily and tasted excellent, highly recommended. Location: Within a 15-minute walk to Kuanzhai Alley. People's Park requires a one-stop bus ride. The subway station is within a 10-minute walk, so it's a convenient distance. Parking: Located behind the hotel, shared with the residential complex. The number of parking spaces is limited.

Pros: The hotel boasts an excellent location, directly facing Mount Emei, and in the evening, we could seemingly hear the temple bells from Baoguo Temple. We chose to stay at Le Méridien after our hike, looking forward to some relaxation. The hotel is indeed quite large with beautiful surroundings. The breakfast was plentiful, featuring freshly prepared dishes, a welcome change from pre-made options. We stayed in a deluxe lake view room, offering both mountain and lake views, which was truly lovely. The soundproofing in the room was decent, and the bedding was comfortable. Cons: 1. Initially, our two booked rooms were not in the same building. After inquiring at the front desk, they found a twin room in Building 2, allowing us to be in the same building. It makes you wonder why they were assigned that way in the first place. 2. The room's central air conditioning only provided heating. When we checked in, the room was exceptionally hot; even with the AC off, the temperature was around 27 degrees Celsius (likely due to the room facing west and getting direct sun). However, the housekeeping service was excellent – they promptly brought a portable air cooler, and their service was always timely, thorough, and enthusiastic. This was a stark contrast to the less attentive bellhop service in the lobby. 3. For such a large hotel, having only two elevators per building (Building 1 and 2) seems inadequate for a Le Méridien property. It also raises safety concerns, as there are no staff members at the elevator entrance. If you need to access rooms on other floors, you have to take the stairs (I used the emergency stairwell twice to retrieve something from a room on the 6th floor, a tip given to me by a housekeeper). 4. The large bathtub in the bathroom is genuinely enormous. I suspect anyone under 175cm might need to be careful not to drown! 5. The exterior windows of the scenic room looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a long time. I'll stop here for now. I'm writing so much because I actually quite like Le Méridien, and I hope to see improvements next time I visit.
