"The main reason to go to Invercargill is to check in at the world's southernmost Starbucks. Etc. The hotel parking lot is in the public parking lot diagonally opposite. You need to register your license plate at the front desk before you can park, but it is free. There is a shopping mall in Invercargill and the world's southernmost Starbucks near the hotel. There is also a Queen's Park to visit. The town is not big and not crowded and very quiet."

"Was priced very cheap - room clean but very dated , camp kitchen needed a good scrubbing, broken amenities and no washing machine working - BUT hospitality was great and restaurant attached gave us one of the nicest and cheapest meals we had - took some famous sausages to cook away with us. We were in hostel so was cheapest accommodation they had - 4 people room was only $100"

"Breakfast is made by the host and the couple themselves, a very warm and kind old couple. You can learn a lot of local attractions and practice English by the way. The room decoration is artistic, clean and hygienic, and there are towels and shower cap hairdryer in the bathroom. But because it is a homestay, you can't cook by yourself."
