Exceptional. Recommended. Worth the price. Room rates with buffet breakfast included good for 2 pax, only in seasky! Friendly boss and staff. So nice. Appreciate every little details as a tourists needed, like dryer in every floor, water dispenser, 24hrs ice cubes in the dinning area for guests, hot water. so peaceful and comfortable bed. Free parking area, not to mention it's very spacious, so if you have a car, a van, or whatever, you can park it here. Internet is good. Fluctuation is the problem in the entire island since last year, but the hotel has a generator, so no need to worry if there's a power interruption. Overall, higly recommend!

In Butuan for vacation since it’s been 5 years. Friendly staff..but when we went, I didn’t realized the swimming pool was under repair so that was a little disappointing . I’ll make sure to call next time.

I know there are times that she's not on duty, she always finds way to help me. This is one of the good things I love about watergate, they are willing to go extra mile for their guests!❤️ My current stay here in watergate became extra because they prepared a welcome note for me inside my room. The Grand Palace Hotel was a real let-down, starting with not living up to what they say. They claim to provide tea & coffee in the rooms, but there's no tea. Their web site says they have an airport shuttle, but they don't. Breakfast was disappointing too. Only 2 juices. Luckily one was usually pineapple. As well as the usual lukewarm breakfast items, they had some random cakes that were as bland as cardboard. Fortunately, you can walk through the Annex, cross the road and a few metres to your right is a bakery that sells doughnuts for 6 pesos that are vastly better. The hotel has guards with assault weapons and dogs. Seems pretty ridiculous and unsafe. Also the dogs spend most of their time living in cages alone next to the swimming pool. I had two bookings here, the first in a big king room. (They call it a ”matrimonial” room!) The WiFi mostly didn't work. It's totally inadequate for the number of people who use it, especially if a big business group comes in for a conference during the day. (The DHCP server just runs out of addresses and you can't connect until someone else disconnects.) Even when it connected, it wasn't very fast. One other issue I had was the appearance of cockroaches every so often. The small single room was a vast improvement, as well as being half the price. While the single rooms have no windows, they have two massive advantages. Firstly, fast WiFi that works. The single rooms are in a hall behind the reception area and have their own access point that works brilliantly and isn't overloaded. Secondly, the small room doesn't have so many places for roaches to hide. I didn't see a single insect intruder. Note for those who might be confused by this site: The information and reviews on this page are for the Butuan Grand Palace Hotel. There is also an Annex. One of my favorite travel stories took place here at the Almont Hotel. First a little description of the setting - the hotel is situated on a typical Spanish style town square with an old colonial Catholic church and a central small park with a bandstand and small kiosk businesses around the square. For the second time I was stranded in Butuan, this time due to a delayed flight from Manila arriving close to midnight causing me to spend the night there before continuing on the next day. Remembering my pleasant previous stay at the Almont, I checked in there a little after midnight into a pleasant second floor room. I had just fallen asleep when I felt someone shaking my bed! I woke up but there was nobody there! Ghosts? No. an earthquake! I had experienced earthquakes before so jumped out of bed grabbed a sheet, wrapped it around myself and headed out of the room and down the stairs and into the street joining the other hotel guests who were similarly wrapped in sheets and bedclothes all excitedly milling about while the ground was still shaking.! Suddenly all the power in Butuan went out and with it all the lights as well! It was a starless, moonless night and the square was pitch black and several screams and louder talking arose when suddenly a bright white cross appeared in the sky! I'm sure that everyone fell to their knees in prayer, certain that the end of the world was at hand and this was the Rapture. We were going to meet our maker! Gradually a few generators came to life - the first being the one in the church which was responsible for lighting the cross at the top of the steeple. We were all saved! And given a second chance to atone for our sins! I hope you enjoyed the story as much as I enjoy retelling it again and again! BTW Butuan as well as much of the Philippines is no stranger to earthquakes with many small tremors every year. But the Almont was completely undamaged and I will feel safe there the next time I stay there!

HOWEVER, they could do much better in terms of staff training, customer service, and breakfast food selections. Accomodation is quite pricey - similar to big brands in Boracay, Mactan and Panglao. So you would expect similar service from hotels in those areas. The staff rarely greet you and arent very attentive. We travel a lot and it's the first time my one year old child is being charged for the breakfast buffet. I thought they were kidding at first. Breakfast choices are very limited and repetitive. Had to ask the front desk to give us child friendly food options since our kids are charged for the buffet per day. Overall would give them a 3 out of 5.

Far from the city center, reasonable price but unfortunately the shower is lacking water or no water pressure in the morning.

It was one of our favorite resort in Butuan City This was our First Resort Escapade for the year 2023 and it was indeed a well spent Staycation at Almont Inland Resort. Room Accomodation : The best area indeed since it is near the Kids Pool and we can enjoy the accomodation while letting the kids enjoy playing with other kids in the pool. Food : We do love thier variety of pizza flavors a must try at this place. This were aside from the sumptuous buffet meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Amenities : The resort's pool is one of the best here in butuan City. You can enjoy it from 7AM up to 9PM and have your foods serve at the cottages near it. One thing I love in this resort is the value of nature. Beautiful sceneries and very lavish green sorroundings that help you calm and forget the busy and noisy scene of the City. We will again visit this place from time to time since we love to bring our family in this resort and get a escape of a busy City Scenario. A great place to Relax and Unwind..

We stayed in a private room at Casavia Siargao and had a great experience overall. The room was spacious, with a comfy bed and pillows that ensured restful nights. The hostel staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, adding to the positive vibe of the place. The hostel offers some great spaces for chilling out and socializing, which we appreciated after long days of exploring. During our stay, the island was experiencing a three-week-long power cut. Thankfully, the hostel had a generator and used it on a schedule, which helped make the situation manageable. There’s a construction site adjacent to the hostel, but it didn’t really affect us since we were out during the day, and work had usually finished by the time we returned. Overall, Casavia Siargao provided a comfortable and enjoyable stay, even under challenging circumstances. We’d recommend it to anyone visiting the island and looking for a friendly and relaxed place to stay.

Stayed for 2 nights. The staff was pretty helpful. The rooms were adequate. The amenities is sufficient but could improve otherwise. Biggest drawback was it's location. The hotel is pretty far from the city centre. Just prepare to have your lunch in and dinn at the hotel as some delivery doesn't go all the way from the city to the hotel address. The pool was well maintained. The beach front is all murky and muddy. The shoreline was limited and was more rocky than sandy. They had a dinner entertainment the night we checked in but the singer informed us that it was more of a weekend gig. The sheets weren't changed on the 2nd night of our stay. The room was very spacious which was a plus. You would have to book premium rooms to get the sealine view otherwise you'll be stuck with a dead end wall. The room was spacious enough to fit 2 queen beds but the booking would only allow 2 persons when it could fit 4. You would have to pay extra for the ”extra bed”. It's strongest suit would probably be it's staff and it's worst is it's location. Also I think they should have a service that can transport guests from almont butuan to surigao. I would have paid extra for that.

We enjoyed our stay here for the following reasons: Location- beautiful location and perfect for those who love to surf as it’s just few minutes walk to Cloud 9, Jocking Horse, Tahiti and Quick Silver. We have a room facing the ocean and it’s easier for us to check the surf. You can both witness the beautiful sunrise and sunset here. They also have the restaurant which makes it so convenient especially if you have family. Rooms- we chose the ocean room for so many reasons but the other rooms are nice, too. They also have villas for big groups or families. Clean and big enough for our family. Housekeeping staff can make up your room anytime you need some tidying up. Price is very reasonable considering it’s location. Staff-the staff are very friendly and helpful. We always reward them with some gratuity for their service. Restaurant and Food- the food has improved a lot since the first time we have been here. It’s fresh, well presented and our taste buds appoved it. I’m a good cook so I can commend the current chef/s for their effort. Others: We love hanging out in the garden, restaurant or their patio area. Beautiful space they have here. You don’t need to stay in your room as they have beautiful outdoors. You can enjoy some drinks when the sun is about to set. Overall, I recommend this resort.

We arrived at 11pm from lipata port, so were no longer picky on which inn we would stay except for one requirement that it should have a heater on the bathroom. And so we choose to stay in this inn since the former two inns we visited has no heater. We stayed at rm 105. As we got in, the room smells like a stinky feet and as we used the heater it didnt work properly and the water has a rusty smell. So it seems that i didnt took a bath after all. I alredy told the staff. Hope they will fix this problem

Everything was great. Prime location and you can escape to the beach in just a few steps. Kudos to receptionist Jem and guard Kuya Mike fas they’re very accommodating and friendly all throughout my stay. I wish there were signages on closing the door slowly though as some foreigners dont mind their own manners when sharing quarters. Some throw their tissues in the toilet and dont tend to flush it, not sure if it’s their culture but something Mad Monkey has no control over. Bonus points on having a lot of bathroom to choose from. They also offer FREE SHOTS at the bar during night party. I booked the bunk through Trip.com for only 648 pesos. When I tried yo extend my stay, it’ll cost me more than 3 times more. So book ahead at trip.com for cheaper prices.

We were upgraded to a balcony view room as they had none of the room we booked available. The balcony room was amazing, very spacious and clean. The complex is also nice, with an area to chill out and a pool. The only issue we had with the hotel was the staff who could have been friendlier and more helpful. Otherwise a lovely stay just accross the road from the beach!

It was difficult because there was no toilet cover, but it was okay because the generator was turned on at a certain time even though the entire island was out of power.

WARNiNG!! DONT BOOK for THIS SCAMMERS!! We booked a room for 3 people (as it says sleeps 3 for one room) for August 2023 for one night only because we have flight in the morning. I’ve asked for the agent to change my name to my husband’s as I will be late for few hours and I was the one who booked them so I should show my passport and bank card. The agent changed it to my husband’s name and put my son’s name and didn’t include my name! And when ive complaint about it the hotel asked me for a payment of 2500 gbp extra!! Is something wrong with their heads or what?? Then they denied that in Hotel.com website says that the room sleeps 3. They said they only do 2. Then telling me that my son is 14 so he is not allowed in the room. Told them when I’ve booked, it asked me for my son’s age and there was no problem. Anyway I’ve ready all their policy and there was nothing indicating 18 years old above. What disgusting people!!!

I stayed for over a week at this hotel. I was not really happy with their wifi connection inside the room its very slow or drops off or nothing at all. I had to go downstairs to the lounge area to be able to have wifi. The water was yellowish and smelt like mud or rust. Cockroaches were everywhere. Unfortunately, I made an upfront full payment of my entire stay on the first day and the hotel has ‘no refund policy’. So i had to bear with these issues. Otherwise, the staff were so good and kind. I felt their warmth hospitality. The hotel’s location is very convenient to restaurants, hospital, gym and 7eleven. If wifi is your life, this one is not the one. Thank you....😊
