"First off, the breakfast was delicious, but perhaps Portuguese food is generally good. The location is super convenient for catching the metro and bus; it's a 2-5 minute walk to the station. I vaguely remember reading reviews saying the rooms were hot, but it's not hot now. The AC works really well. When I first got to the hotel, the mirror near the elevator startled me, but once inside the room, it felt fine and had enough space. However, when night came, it was incredibly uncomfortable. It was so dim. And not 'cozy dim,' but rather 'exhausting, gloomy, unsettling dim.' It's genuinely different from some hotels with mood lighting; trust me, there's a big difference between unchosen dimness and intentional dimness. Turning on all the lights didn't help at all. I called the front desk to ask for a desk lamp (there was one in the room, but it was useless and so dim it was uncomfortable even to look at my phone). I barely got a few words out before they hung up on me. But shortly after, a male staff member came up, took a look, but said there were no extra light sources available. He suggested turning on the TV for more light, and even he admitted after turning it on, 'It doesn't seem to help much...' Trip.com's concierge replied to me but didn't offer a solution. I was too tired to bother anymore, as my luggage was already unpacked. Personally, I don't think this hotel is worth its price. I had picked out a few other hotels earlier, but they were all fully booked because I booked late, so I had to book this one last minute. I recommend everyone book several days in advance. I booked this place hastily at 3 PM the same day and checked in in the evening. It's the only hotel on my European trip that left a bad impression. I regret it. The staff's attitude overall wasn't bad, but it was the first time someone hung up on me. And there are mirrors everywhere, which is really different from what I'm used to."

"We had room 410 with a lovely view over the city to the castle and church, a really wide, comfortable bed, and everything you could need (safe, refrigerator, hairdryer, water, coffee). Modern bathroom. The only downside was the breakfast, which had a limited selection and was of average quality at best (e.g., coffee, scrambled eggs, bacon)."

"I liked the Czar Lisbon Hotel. There are several eateries and supermarkets near the hotel. I could stock up on water and other essential stuff. It is also easy to hire Uber. Burger King and pharmacy is just opposite the hotel. Hotel also provided the travel adapter upon request. Hotel has a restaurant on the same level as the reception with a wide variety of food in the menu. The toilet is nice and huge for two."

"Pros: The hotel's exterior location is great, close to Avenida da Liberdade, making it easy to get around. There's also a fantastic restaurant downstairs. Cons: The interior facilities are a bit dated, especially the elevator which is too small. The staff often forget to restock the water."

"Was staying at the hotel for 3 nights over the business trip. Location was super convenient and close to the office. And it gave a great opportunity to unwind after a stressful day. Was very surprised by the toilets on the top floor.. see the photo. The area is well kept. The views are spectacular. Highly recommend"

"It was comfortable, checking in was simple and I was able to check-in late as my plane arrived late. The room is nice and clean. Their taxi service is really good but a bit expensive. The only thing is that inside the kettle is burned or something weird happened there. Otherwise it was a good experience"

"We had a great stay at Moon & Sun Hotel in Lisbon. If you’re looking for a centrally located hotel that’s perfect for exploring the city, this is an excellent choice. The location is ideal—within walking distance of major attractions, great restaurants, and public transport, making it easy to discover Lisbon without needing a Taxi/Uber/Bolt. The rooms are modern, stylish, and spotlessly clean. While they are on the smaller side, they’re perfect for travelers who want a comfortable place to rest after a full day of sightseeing. If you’re planning to spend most of your time exploring the city rather than lounging in your room, this hotel offers great value for money. The service was outstanding. The front desk staff spoke fluent English and provided excellent recommendations for places to visit and eat. They were also very accommodating—when I requested a different pillow for better comfort, they replaced it immediately, and when we asked for mint to be brought to our room, they did so at no extra charge. Small gestures like these really made us feel welcome. Overall, Moon & Sun Hotel was exactly what we were looking for—clean, comfortable, and centrally located, with a high level of service. It’s a great option for couples or anyone who wants to explore Lisbon with ease while staying in a well-priced, stylish hotel. We would definitely stay here again!"

"On trip the check-in time was 15.00, when we got there they told us the room would be ready at 16.00. Little panic at our side as we had to attend a wedding at 15.45. Thankfully they were able to give us a room and we could change quickly and freshen up before going to the wedding. We did not made use of the breakfast or the pool, so no idea how the breakfast or pool was. I did noticed that when furniture are moved in the room above you, you will hear it very well. The location was in a boring street, so not to worry about loud noices outside."

"Super fun! The staff are very friendly. The whole hotel and rooms are whimsical and fun. Excellent location right on pink street. The windows are triple thick and the noise is minimal at best. There were complimentary ear buds but we didn't even need them. We really enjoyed out stay and hope to come back again soon!"
