I was extremely satisfied!
The front desk staff were very welcoming and even gave me a small gift. I was also very pleased with the room itself. The bed was incredibly comfortable – very soft but I didn't feel tired at all after sleeping on it. As someone with a herniated disc who usually can't sleep on soft beds, I felt great after a night's rest, and the pillow height was just right.
The bathroom and shower had excellent dry/wet separation, the disposable slippers were thick, and they even provided laundry detergent and complimentary bottled water. My room wasn't huge, but it was incredibly well-equipped, and everything felt high-quality!
It's probably less than a 10-minute walk to the subway station, which I found very convenient!

The hotel boasts an excellent location, directly opposite Shenyang North Railway Station and just a stone's throw from the subway. The surrounding area is bustling with dining options, offering a wide variety of choices. Several establishments, including Siji Chenmian, are open 24 hours, which is incredibly convenient. If you get hungry late at night, you can enjoy a hot bowl of noodles within minutes.
The front desk staff and other service personnel were all very pleasant – warm, witty, and polite.
Now for the downsides.
Firstly, the location is a double-edged sword. While it's incredibly convenient, it also means the area can be relatively noisy.
Secondly, the hotel's interior decor is relatively dated. There are limited power outlets near the bed. The TV, with its analog signal and only a few channels, is largely ornamental. The central air conditioning also produces noise when switched on. While none of these are major concerns, they did, to some extent, impact the overall guest experience.
Overall, considering the price, it offers good value for money. Hopefully, by my next visit to Shenyang, the hotel will have undergone some refreshing improvements!

Fantastic location, with the vibey Venice water town just across the road, the Russian walking street roughly 4 kilometers away, Bangchuidao within 6 kilometers, Xinghai Square and Xinghai Bay Bridge scenic area not far away, and several gourmet options within walking distance. The apartment was clean and spacious, divided into a kitchenette, a bathroom with wet and dry separation, a living area and a bedroom. It came with a standard refrigerator and washing machine, which were super convenient. A microwave would have been helpful. The view from the window was simply gorgeous. Special thanks to Maggie who was proactive and took care of my every little need. And she speaks English. I am definitely staying here the next time I visit Dalian.

I was truly touched by the thoughtful service at this hotel; I felt so well taken care of throughout my entire stay. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, the comfortable atmosphere instantly melted away my travel fatigue. The staff always greeted me with genuine smiles, and they were incredibly prompt in answering questions and fulfilling requests. The room decor was simple yet cozy, and all daily necessities were readily available. Little touches like the pre-adjusted room temperature and charging cables on the nightstand really stood out to me. The bedding was clean and fresh, and I woke up feeling completely refreshed. The soundproofing in the room was excellent, ensuring I wasn't disturbed by any outside noise. The breakfast offered a wide variety of fresh, authentic dishes, catering to different dietary preferences. I genuinely felt at home during my stay; both the service and the environment were impeccable. I've already recommended it to my friends and will definitely choose this hotel again for my next trip!

The Zhonglian Hotel is one of the best-located hotels in Dandong, sitting right on the Yalu River with direct views of the Broken Bridge and even across to North Korea. The hotel is older and a bit dated, but it is well maintained and clean. The rooms are comfortable, and the vintage décor gives an old-time atmosphere that makes the stay unique.
Breakfast is available with both Chinese and some Western choices, though the variety could be improved . Staff are polite and helpful, and the riverside location makes it easy to enjoy evening walks or explore nearby restaurants.

An absolutely perfect stay. The InterContinental Dalian boasts luxurious, elegant, and grand facilities. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and inviting, offering breathtaking views of the East Port shipyard and the ocean. Its prime downtown location provides incredibly convenient access to subway and bus lines, and taxi rides around the city are also very affordable. It's just a short walk to the historic century-old buildings around Zhongshan Square. Check-in was a breeze, and the service was attentive and incredibly warm.
A special thank you to DANA at the front desk for her excellent service. I also appreciate the doormen who always helped me with my bags from the taxi. Finally, kudos to the F&B department for the thoughtful gesture of delivering red date and pear soup to my room in the evening, which was a perfect way to relax and unwind after a long day of exploring. Dalian truly is a fantastic city!

Afternoon Tea Buffet (13:00-15:00): Good
[Lobby Special] Freshly Ground, Aromatic Coffee: Good
The sunrise from the hotel room was very satisfying, and the room environment was clean and tidy. The housekeeping was exceptionally thorough, and the bedding was very comfortable. The latex pillows were especially comfortable, and mineral water was provided free and in unlimited supply. The room amenities were complete and of high quality. The dry and wet separation in the bathroom was excellent. The front desk service was superb, and the location was prime, making it convenient for travel. The hotel is very close to the Grand Canal (or a similar landmark that '力工大师傅' might refer to if it's a specific local spot, otherwise a general interpretation of 'convenient for walking distance'). I've stayed for several nights and highly recommend it.

1. The hotel's guest rooms are very modern in design, with a reasonable layout of space, especially the large floor-to-ceiling windows, which offer a panoramic view of the beautiful scenery of Fushun, which is simply refreshing! ”
2. The breakfast in the hotel's restaurant is delicious, with freshly made wontons, fried dumplings, and Western snacks.
3. The hotel's gym is fully equipped, newly renovated, and spacious and bright. The swimming pool has clear water and an elegant environment. There are also professional lifeguards on site, which allows people to feel a full sense of security while enjoying swimming. ”
4. The hotel rooms are clean and hygienic, and the cleaning is very thorough. When checking out, they also remind me of the parking ticket. The manager took the initiative to contact me and helped me mail my belongings when I left them in the room. Thank you so much. The details are well done and the service is first-class.

This stay was a far cry from my visit in March this year. Both times, I booked Executive Club rooms primarily for the lounge access to relax.
1. **High Deposit**: For a three-day stay, they charged a 6500 RMB deposit. I found it quite high and double-checked, but the front desk staff was unhelpful and curt, simply stating it was hotel policy.
2. **Insufficient Water**: On the day of check-in, there were only three 350ml bottles of water. By 6 PM, I ran out and had to resort to drinking tap water from the bathroom. When I returned in the afternoon, the water situation hadn't improved, so I called housekeeping, and they brought two 500ml bottles. The next day, it was the same story! I even had my cold and fever medication laid out in the room, yet the staff didn't think to simply provide more water, like six bottles straight away?
3. **Slippers**: Yes, when I came back on the second day, I needed new slippers because the ones from the first day were completely soaked after our shower, but no fresh slippers were provided by housekeeping.
4. **The Embarrassing Afternoon**: On my third day, I decided to extend my stay for another night. I informed the front desk about this at 2 PM that afternoon. What followed was a truly embarrassing and frustrating afternoon. I explicitly told the front desk that I had a cold and a fever, needed rest, didn't want any fruit or anything, and just wanted to sleep. That afternoon, housekeeping staff brought water, slippers, and fruit in three separate trips. I was running a fever and desperately wanted to sleep, but I had to keep getting up to answer the door! I then realized I hadn't pressed the 'Do Not Disturb' button (not blaming the staff, but I had already clearly told the front desk I didn't want fruit and just wanted to sleep), so I immediately activated DND. At 5 PM, I thought I could finally get some sleep. The moment I drifted off, the front desk called, asking if I wanted to check out, extend my stay, or refresh my key card, etc. (Don't your systems track this?!). At that point, I just wanted to go home!!!
The Front Office Manager's approach to resolving the issue was quite subjective. During dinner at the restaurant, I was given a hotel cartoon mascot as a 'solution.' When she called, she did express apologies for these issues and offered me a discount of just over 150 RMB (which I believe was the difference for the executive lounge when I mistakenly extended to a different room type for the fourth night). She clearly had no idea about the embarrassing experience I had that afternoon. The next morning, still running a fever, I had to listen to her lecture me. That's when I decided to write my first truly serious negative review! I hope the hotel ensures they always have enough water and slippers ready! What's the point of charging such a high deposit?

This was my first time in Shenyang, and among the many branded hotels, we chose the Hilton Shenyang Shimao. Firstly, because of our preference for the brand, and secondly, because of its excellent location and convenient transportation. During check-in, Ms. Grace Hou at the front desk was warm, attentive, and very professionally handled our procedures. Throughout our stay, whenever we needed anything and called the front desk, the staff would respond quickly and provide meticulous service, making our stay more comfortable and pleasant. Our room on the 8th floor offered a fantastic view of Shenyang, overlooking Qingnian Street. The room was very clean, and the bedding and toiletries were high-quality, ensuring a great night's rest. The breakfast was rich and varied, and both the manager and staff were polite and provided thoughtful service. It's precisely because of the high quality of both the hotel's soft and hard amenities that we decided to spend all our nights in Shenyang at the Shimao Hilton. Highly recommend!

SShenzhenyerenA truly upscale hotel.
The decor is very stylish and well-designed. They pay attention to the details; for instance, the stainless steel towel rack is heated, a bit warm to the touch, which can dry your towels and prevents that cold, metallic feeling after a hot shower.
The location is excellent, with convenient transportation.
My room was on a high floor, offering great city views. The front desk is on the 88th floor, and the elevators are incredibly fast; you can definitely feel the pressure change in your ears on the way up.
GGuest UserI came to Jinzhou, Liaoning specifically for the Fengguo Temple in Yi County. In fact, it is really worth it. The hotel is also very good, very large, spacious and smart. The TV can cast the screen, and the toilet is gravity-sensing. It is right next to Jinzhou Station and the bus station is across the road. I came from Jinzhou South Station and took bus 205, which went directly there in less than 30 minutes. Living here is very convenient whether by train or by car. It is very practical for me to go to Yi County. By the way, I flew back to Shanghai from Jinzhou. The hotel is a 5-6 minute walk along Yan'an Road and there is an airport bus. It costs 5 yuan per person, which is much more cost-effective than taking a taxi. It's really good!

AAnonymous UserDuring the National Day holiday, I brought my child to Qinghe Peninsula. After checking in, I added the concierge on WeChat. Since our room wasn't ready yet, my family and I went straight to the hot spring area.
The hot spring area is divided into an indoor water play zone and an outdoor hot spring zone. Both areas are very large and offer a lot to do. The water in the play zone was comfortably warm, and my child had a great time. After leaving the hot springs, I contacted the concierge, who brought the room key and led us to our room. The room I booked was quite far from the elevator, which was a bit inconvenient. Although the room was large, it was very cold, and I'm not sure why there was no air conditioning. The room itself was clean, and there was a private hot tub on the balcony with very warm water.
I want to specifically highlight the excellent concierge service. They provided us with an electric heater, and because we had a baby with us, they brought extra bottles of mineral water. They also patiently reminded us to be careful about slipping when using the hot springs. Overall, the experience was quite good, and my family was very happy with the arrangements. They even said they'd like to come back more often.

11510200****Staying at The Castle Hotel Dalian truly defines a 'landmark experience'! This European-style castle, perched halfway up the mountain, looks grand and dreamlike from afar, with exquisite details up close. Every photo you take turns out stunning.
The sea-view room was an amazing surprise. The enormous floor-to-ceiling windows offered breathtaking views of Xinghai Bay and the cross-sea bridge, bringing the magnificent scenery right into the room. Watching the sunset over the sea in the evening was incredibly romantic.
The service was impeccable – warm and attentive. They were prompt during meals, and the breakfast spread was rich, even featuring local Dalian specialties. Its proximity to Xinghai Square makes getting around very convenient, and the sky garden in the common area is a hidden gem for scenic views.
This castle getaway completely captivated me. I'll definitely be returning on my next trip to Dalian!

MM27385****This hotel is a hidden gem for families with kids, making our stay easy and heartwarming! My biggest concern when traveling with a three or four-year-old is finding suitable accommodation, but this hotel completely put my worries to rest. They thoughtfully provided kids' toothbrushes, slippers, and a small plush toy. The room was spacious, and the bed height was perfect for little ones to get in and out of. The breakfast at the Horizon Club was also excellent. During our stay, the Guest Relations Manager, Lisa, checked in with us daily to see how we were doing, which was a very thoughtful and meticulous touch! This hotel gets full marks and is definitely a top choice for families with kids. We'll definitely stay here again next time!

EE2265****As an established hotel, its location, service, and ambiance are all well worth the price. It's located near Zhongjie subway station, just a 3-minute walk away. It's also convenient to walk to the Shenyang Imperial Palace and Zhang Xueliang's Former Residence, and easy to take the subway to the Shenyang Museum. Zhongjie Street is right downstairs, so dining, drinking, and shopping are very convenient. The breakfast buffet is ample and meets travel needs. The only minor issue is that the air conditioning isn't very cold, and the strong fan can be a bit noisy. Sleeping with the window open was actually cooler.

GGuest UserLocation was great 30 seconds walk to train station , pick up point right outside hotel for taxis, good view towards North Korea side and bridge from higher floors.
My room was very dated and old with musty smell and signs of age on walls and furniture.
The bedroom was no frills i.e. no tissue or tea provided in room. Sheets were clean and ok.
The bathroom has a slight smell of pee, and shower area is not separated from rest of bathroom so whole bathroom gets wet during shower. However bathroom is stocked with the usual necessities like toothbrush, soap, hairdryer, towels, toilet rolls which is good.
Overall, good value for budget travellers due to low cost. I would not stay here again next time I visit Dandong as there are other similar priced hotels 1-3 minutes further from the train station, but without the view to North Korea.
