We landed at 1:30 AM, and since this hotel offers free airport transfer, we contacted them via WeChat. They arranged someone to pick us up promptly. You just need to go to the designated area as instructed by the hotel staff. The staff responded very quickly, so there’s nothing to worry about! Everything went smoothly., check-in and check-out were hassle-free. Overall, it was a good experience for us.

The lady at the night reception was super nice. She had a great service attitude and was very friendly. I stayed here for two nights last time, and after traveling around, I came back to the same hotel. It was the same person who helped me with my luggage. The environment is clean and quiet. Definitely a five-star review!

After landing, we headed straight to the hotel, and the overall check-in experience far exceeded our expectations. The ladies at the front desk were professional and friendly. They not only helped us get a free room upgrade but also patiently assisted us in receiving numerous packages, always notifying us immediately upon arrival. Their communication was very clear and efficient, which was a huge plus. They also proactively recommended nearby night markets and restaurants, and their suggestions were really practical. The room environment was clean and comfortable, and the space was well-designed. The mattress provided excellent support; I practically fell asleep the moment I lay down. We fully recharged on our first night. Overall, from service to facilities, everything was spot on. It's the kind of hotel I'd happily return to and recommend to friends. A special thanks to the ladies at the front desk – your hard work made the start of this trip incredibly smooth! 💓

This review is similar to the one above because I booked two packages—a two-day, one-night stay and a one-day stay—totaling three nights, and I had a fantastic experience. The hotel's overall service, facilities, value for money, and location are all excellent. If I visit Kunming again, I'll definitely stay here. The hotel also perfectly balances human-centered service with self-service options. Not only are there two self-service laundry rooms with washer-dryers, but drinking water is also conveniently placed on tables near the elevator on each floor. Guests can simply grab it when needed, which saves the hassle of constantly calling the front desk for delivery and prevents the hotel's little robots from being overworked! 😂

Tonight, I made a last-minute check-in at the 'Cuihu Hotel', designed by I.M. Pei. It was unplanned, but a delightful surprise. In my opinion, a hotel isn't a museum; its 'sense of history' should be elegant, not heavy, and its 'vintage feel' should be classic, not dated. Before arriving, I was very worried this 69-year-old hotel would feel stuffy and decayed. To my surprise, Cuihu Hotel strikes the perfect balance and shows great wisdom. For example, the public area ceilings are adorned with 24K gold leaf, and the murals feature maple wood relief carvings with gold accents – aesthetics that are certainly a product of their time [tears of joy emoji]. However, they've now added many art pieces to temper this 'bling' and enhance the elegance and scholarly vibe. Even the subtle classical jazz music and the light, delicate fragrance filling the air inject a fresh, youthful spirit into the overall ambiance. Yet, the common issues of older hotels persist: outdated facilities, bathtub design, and those unsightly large pillars… This leaves me feeling conflicted, both loving and hating it, and hesitant about whether I'd stay here again (especially with kids). What truly stood out was the check-in experience: the front desk gifted us fresh roses, a succulent potted plant, and a postcard as souvenirs. In the room, there was a handwritten card, red-billed gull biscuits, Yunnan small-bean coffee powder with a Moka pot. They even pre-arranged a bedtime dessert and a crib bumper. For welcome fruits, the housekeeping auntie knocked on our door with a basket, letting us choose our own! 😄 These interactions significantly elevated the stay, even adding a wonderful touch to my overall impression of this Yunnan trip. In summary, it has history but struggles with modernity; thankfully, the details, service, and quality are all excellent 👍. P.S. The room upgrade was successful, and my 'begging' for it went very smoothly.

The location is super convenient, really close to the subway station, and right next to a bustling commercial area. The room is high enough that you don't get bothered by the noise from the shops. It's a non-smoking room, very clean and tidy, and the bedding is so comfortable, I slept like a baby. The front desk staff, both the guys and girls, were really friendly and provided warm, thoughtful service. I guess it's the off-season before the winter holidays, because they even upgraded my room type – how lucky is that! I'll definitely choose this place again next time!

The best hotel host goes to Ah Fei. Based on the reviews, they are true..he is very helpful and easy to deal with. He helped us to arrange for transportation from train to hotel, welcomed us with the warm tea, gave us slippers for kids and attentive to our needs. Aside from that, the hotel room itself is also okay. It’s located almost in front of Chagee (malaysians would love this). There’s also washing machine and dryer for use so it’s convenient for travellers. It’s also near to the north gate of Lijiang Ancient City, so it’s easy for pick up and drop off if you want to Didi.

Really enjoyed our stay we ended up extending our stay by one day and decide to return to it after our 3 day shangrila trip. It’s become our home away from home. The concierge is so sweet and helpful. I added them on WeChat before my trip to do my Taobao haul and they picked up and stored all my packages and then took them to our room. They helped us take our luggage up and downstairs, answer all of our questions. Amazing friendly staff. The room is super clean, and the view of the mountain is half the reason we booked and didn’t disappoint. Floor to ceiling window on 4th floor was so nice. Shower pressure is amazing, hot water comes quickly. Bath products smell awesome, and Dyson hairdryer and the towel is so nice and absorbent! The beds are very comfy that my friend can’t stop commenting on it! And for me everything felt just right that I got to comfortably fall asleep. Beddings were very comfortable, soft to the skin, blankets are warm with nice weight. There were also two different pillows to pick from and the gel feeling one was so easy to sleep on. And all the buttons near the nightstand to open the curtains both blackout and privacy, different lights and heater/ac was very convenient! I get to turn off everything with a touch of a button. There was a giant humidifier in the room that can last all night and more, small fridge with different drinks for free including my fav Perrier sparkling water. First night there we joined for the yak butter tea ceremony and met the owner and some of the other guests around the table. They had a lot of snacks out and also hand churned the butter tea and showed us how to do it as well. The owner also brought out ice wine from shangrila to share and was delicious as well. Awesome time. For breakfast, there are two aunties who made our breakfast fresh with delicious chicken bone soup that I slurped up right away, the local specialty noodle which was surprisingly delicious that I also slurped up even though I was trying to do lower carbs. My friend loved their porridge and their pickled veggies with it. The dining room is on the top floor with a balcony on the outside and floor to ceiling windows looking out. And we got to see the golden sunrise mountain while we enjoyed our delicious breakfast. The afternoon tea platter is lovely too! I’m also really excited to try the different teas when we get back. Location is close to old town but not inside of it so cars can drive underneath. Was easy for pickup for our different tours. Also easy to walk to old town as well.

Because we went there during the May Day holiday, we booked two rooms. When booking, we requested a high floor. When we arrived, they said there were no high floors. When we asked when the rooms would be cleaned, they said they were not sure. I felt that the service was a little inadequate in this regard, but otherwise I was very satisfied. Both the Chinese and Western food were good. Recommended!

The place is bright, nice and warm in winter.Full facilities are well equipped like floor heating, heater in the shower, electronic toilet. The oxygen purifier is easy to use and well alleviate me from high altitude sickness. Especially staff are great in hospitality, as I was well welcomed by the manager who provided me with welcome drink and snacks.Kitchen staff with full hospitality is so friendly to invite me to her simple dinner, and I felt it was like home. I love this place as it was warm at heart and also physically warm in the room.

Rraymond200909On the positive side, the hotel has quite a few recreational facilities, and the room amenities are decent and relatively new. On the negative side, the biggest problem is the excessive dampness in the room. It was uncomfortable to sleep in, and although the hotel changed the bedding, it didn't help much. This might be due to the humid air during the rainy season in Xishuangbanna, but two things puzzled me: 1) The front desk said no one else had reported this issue before. 2) I stayed at three hotels during this trip, and Zhucheng was the third. The other two were right next to Zhucheng, and their rooms didn't feel noticeably damp. Also, the hotel room didn't pay enough attention to some details. The sofa arrangement prevented the curtains from closing completely automatically; I had to manually close them. The refrigerator was also quite noisy, which affected my sleep.

UUlysess444The hotel's facilities and services are excellent, with many thoughtful details that really show they care about guests. The way to activate the power is unique; instead of inserting a card into a narrow slot, you place it on a tray with a groove at the bottom, which is much simpler, especially in dim lighting. There are plenty of hangers and various surfaces to place your belongings. The smart room control system is very user-friendly, allowing individual control of lights in different areas. The 'disposable' slippers are fantastic – clean, comfortable, and environmentally friendly. The room has a mix of wooden flooring and small area rugs, offering the comfort of a carpet while being easy to keep clean, which is much better than fully carpeted rooms. The toilet is the best I've encountered in a hotel; the heated seat is just the right temperature, not too hot, and the flush is quiet yet very effective. While the wide front of the seat and the automatic sensor for opening and closing the lid aren't groundbreaking features, they significantly enhance the user experience. The shower controls are a bit unique, with two separate switches for the handheld and overhead showerheads. This means you can't control water flow and temperature simultaneously, but you get used to it. If I had to pick a flaw, it would be the toilet paper – it lacks elasticity and tears easily.

2201203****This was by far the most comfortable and best place we stayed at during our Yunnan trip. The guesthouse itself is elegant and grand, with bright and spacious rooms and soft, comfortable bedding. The owner is warm and attentive, always ready to help, and offers thoughtful recommendations for local food and sightseeing routes. My child fell ill and had to stay in the room alone during the day, and the owner was a great help in looking after them. The room view is particularly noteworthy; you can see the snow-capped mountains right from your bed, truly making it feel like ”waking up to a fairyland.” The ”golden mountains” illuminated by the morning sun were especially stunning! An added bonus is the guesthouse's super cute Samoyed, Sanjin. She's incredibly gentle and friendly, and petting her was incredibly therapeutic. My child absolutely adored her. We'll definitely be staying here again on our next visit!

LLvan_jingThis trip was truly a blessing thanks to choosing the Yifei Hotel! Upon arrival, the front desk warmly handed us hot towels, instantly dispelling our travel fatigue. Check-in was also super fast, and they even thoughtfully offered us fresh fruit. It was so heartwarming! The room was warm and comfortable, and the bedding was so soft and satisfying, making for a wonderful sleep. I can't praise the hotel more highly than the surrounding ambiance. The clear water in the swimming pool, surrounded by lush greenery, created a relaxing vacation vibe. Taking a dip in it was simply wonderful. I was truly captivated by the attention to detail in every aspect of this stay. I've already recommended it to my friends and will definitely stay here again on my next trip!

OOlive GohWhen I started planning our itinerary for our 15 day Yunnan holiday, I plotted out our path to go all the way up to Shangri-la, back down to Kunming and then to Jiaozi Snow Mountain and Dongchuan Red Land. Then I chanced upon a video of Aini Garden and fell in love! The only reason we came to Pu'er was to get to Aini. This was the first place I booked, and I really took a chance because it has a no cancellation policy and I really had to stick to the date once it was made. The initial pre-arrival experience was less than pleasant. I didn't know how we were going to get to the manor and my WeChat messages went unanswered. The hotel we stayed at in Pu'er finally got in touch with someone and got them to message me. I asked how we could get there and the answer was a curt ”take a taxi or charter a car”. No pleasantries of ”we look forward to seeing you” or offering to arrange a car. When we arrived, no one was at reception and no one came out. Our driver was so perplexed he wondered if we were in the right place and if the place was open. Finally a young girl came out and registered us in. There was an air of aloofness from everyone else. However, once we were checked in, things warmed up quickly. We were offered coffee and freshly cut papaya and had a nice introduction chat with the lady staff. The bedroom and bathroom is well appointed, spacious and comfortable. We would have enjoyed sitting on the balcony if the chairs were more comfortable. I love the floor to ceiling glass windows but the panel above the door should also be glass (it is just netting) so traffic sounds from the road actually comes through at night. I actually wanted to book the cottage in the hills but opted for the standard room in the main house because I was worried it would be cold. Big regret as it is actually magnificently located with stunning views. However take note that you will need to call for a buggy ride or make a 1km hike every time you want to eat or get to the main house. If you are self driving, no issues as you can park right next to the cottage. Anyway it's a small price to pay for an unlimited view of the milky way and seclusion. This is as close to a Ryokan experience as you can get in China, minus the hot springs. 3 days 2 nights of blissful, carefree living is not quite enough. They make sure they feed you well, with the freshest produce available for hotpot dinner and home-cooked Yunnanese dishes for lunch. There are so many activities organised, from taking you up the mountain for a glimpse of sunrise (with mountain goats for company ❤️) to coffee plantation education tour to horseback riding along the mountain ridges (the view is spectacular!) to scavenging for wild vegetables and fruits to drinking, dancing and singing around the campfire! So much to do, so little time! One area of improvement I personally would like to see is the coffee serving. They tend to be quite snobbish about how their coffee is taken. Neat, with nothing else. Asking for sugar or milk feels nearly scorned upon. Coffee is a versatile drink and can be savoured in a huge variety of ways. How else is Starbucks so successful? I felt kind of stifled and deprived because I love a good latte and had looked forward to enjoying an unlimited indulgence of coffee throughout our stay. Anyhow, I love the ecotourism efforts here. It feels natural and unpretentious. I love the people and the camaraderie they cultivate. I especially enjoyed talking to their consultant 敬梅, a beautiful lady with extensive knowledge in Yunnan culture and ecological progress. Also thank you to 徐芳 for arranging transport back to town and giving helpful recommendations. We hope to return again.

__WeChat274194****Ambiance: Tranquil and secluded, a unique Chinese aesthetic. The entire room was filled with the scent of aromatherapy incense, which was incredibly refreshing. I loved the citronella essential oil and bought over 1000 yuan worth, getting a 30% discount – quite a good deal. Facilities: The open-air heated massage private onsen was fantastic. The room directly faced the 'Golden Mountain in Sunlight' view. Service: Our butler, Luna, provided excellent service. She helped us book a photography session in advance, arranged our room, including housekeeping, answered all our questions, booked our airport transfer, and took care of little things like the 'Little Turtle' welcome gift and bottled water. Highly recommend! The turndown service was particularly special: on the first night, we had a rose milk foot bath in a copper basin, and on the second night, it was a coarse salt foot bath in a copper basin. Breakfast was also good and came with a scenic view. One-way airport transfer between the hotel and Lijiang Sanyi Airport: The airport drop-off service was good. One complimentary ethnic costume photography session (requires booking at least 1 day in advance): I had already taken photos in ******* and Yi costumes a few days prior, so here I tried on Miao ethnic clothing, which was another great experience of local culture. I didn't add any extra photos beyond the included five. Seasonal welcome fruit: We received small fruit baskets on both days. In the evening, there were fresh juices and small cakes – red pitaya juice and orange juice. There was also a large cake in the fridge!

PpinkrippleThere is free pick-up from the airport, and there is a shuttle bus for visiting Gaozhuang. It is very convenient and the service is very good. There is also a swimming pool on the roof, and the environment is very good, especially the night view. The breakfast is generally good, with quite a lot of variety. I really like their rice noodles. The laundry room is a bit run down, so if there's nothing special about it, try not to use it.

GGuest UserThe B&B owner was incredibly kind and enthusiastic. They even helped us adjust our booking when we realized we'd chosen the wrong dates, which we really appreciated. When we arrived, the owner helped us carry our luggage up and down, which was a very thoughtful touch. The B&B itself has a great environment and beautiful views. Plus, you can rent electric scooters there, which is a really good deal. They also serve rice noodle breakfast, and we had it two days in a row – it was delicious, haha. The owner also gave us recommendations for classic tourist routes and tips, helping us avoid any pitfalls.

GGuest UserI just want to show my appreciation to the staff at the motel!  First of all, the staff was super nice and attentive! She spoke softly and gently.  And most importantly, we booked for the most expensive type of room, and it’s definitely worth it! The view was amazing!!!  The room was also spotlessly clean, with heater and humidifier (which are crucial in winter)  Honestly, there is not much in the neighbourhood, but I did enjoy the quietness and peaceful moments there! We took a free taxi (offered by the staff) and visited lijiang old town (around 20 mins away)  The breakfast was good enough (given it’s a small motel) My kids got their portion of breakfast for free too. And the staff kept asking if we needed more!  I wish I had stayed for 1-2 days so I could have more time to enjoy the peaceful time!  Will surely recommend this place!

GGuest UserWhen traveling to Jianshui with friends, this particularly new and excellent hotel was our first choice. Although it's newly opened, there was no lingering smell of renovation in the rooms. It has its own parking lot, which is very convenient for those with cars. The lobby is bright and airy, with great photo opportunities in every corner, including a specially designed Republic of China-style photo spot. The hotel environment is clean and tidy, and the rooms are impeccably maintained. The receptionist even upgraded our room, providing attentive and thoughtful service. The breakfast was also plentiful, with complimentary breakfast and late-night snacks provided – a very considerate gesture. Unfortunately, our itinerary changed at the last minute, so we only had one night to experience it. Next time I'm in Jianshui, I'll definitely stay and enjoy it more. Overall, I applaud my choice of this hotel.
