Location 1 Directly across from Imabari Port, 3 minutes? It was so wonderful. The view of Imabari Castle from the room was great. 2. Service: Absolutely fantastic. This was my first time seeing a place that offered unlimited candy and chocolates. So, of course, they had bath products like toothpaste, toothbrushes, and razors, and they also had about 10 different bath bombs (if you bought them at a store, you'd have to pay at least 3,000 won each, but they provided 10 different types for free). It was amazing and fascinating. 3. Breakfast: The best. Even if you pay out of pocket or pay extra, you absolutely must try this hotel's breakfast. They cook it right in front of you early in the morning—you can watch it being prepared. Not only the Japanese set menu, but even the toast is truly top-notch. Grilled sea bream is always served as a side dish, and it's even better than at a regular restaurant. They also serve fantastic fried eggs, a uniquely Japanese half-moon shape—when you cut it open with a spoon, it's slightly soft-boiled and bursts with a burst of flavor. If you're visiting Imabari, be sure to stay here. Are there any guests? I wanted to eat breakfast and dinner - if you pay extra at the hotel, you don't have to go to an outside restaurant. You can have it served until 3 p.m. There are no seats available during meal times, lol. While there are a lot of people at the hotel, it's quiet. I really, really recommend this hotel. Oh, you can take the bus to Imabari Futo Station. I took the bus from Matsuyama to Imabari and back. The bus fare was 1,200 yen. ^^ The bus was really convenient and on time. It never arrived even a minute late.

The hotel lobby looked quite dated, and it was larger than typical Japanese hotels, giving off the vibe of a renovated old building. I booked a Japanese-style room to try out the tatami, and it was pretty good. The toilet and shower/bath were separate, and both were on the small side. Overall, the experience was positive, although the place felt a bit old.

Very helpful at checkin. Our tandem-bike could be parked inside the hotel at the lobby. The hotel is good for cyclists. Standard bikes van be taken to the room where a device is mounted on the walk to hang the bike.

This is my second time staying at this hotel and am extremely pleased to be a returning customer. I finished a big tour of Shikoku by bike in the last 13 days with a friend now just returned to the same hotel for a couple of relaxing days before heading back home. This hotel is at the heart of the Dogo district with great amenities, very friendly staff and top quality services. I’d like to thank two of the hotel staff, Medo Shuhei and Jay whom have been very helpful to assist our stay during our trip. I have no hesitation to recommend this hotel to my friends and would be more than happy to stay in the same hotel next time visiting Matsuyama.

This is a hotel with history and stories. The Japanese emperor and the great Japanese writer Natsume have stayed here. The hotel service is good and they will help deliver the luggage to the room. Check-in is at 3pm. We arrived at noon and could only go to Dogo Onsen Street for a walk and wait until after 3pm to go back to the hotel to rest. The kaiseki cuisine for dinner at the hotel is good, and the steak is very tender. There are Western and Japanese breakfast options, and we chose Japanese breakfast. The hotel's hot springs are average, on the second and third floors of the South Building, and the third floor is a cypress hot spring. The hotel is a 5-minute walk from Dogo Onsen Station, which is quite close, but it is uphill from the station. We took a taxi from the hotel at Matsuyama City Station for 1,630 yen.

I stayed here around November 20th. I chose to stay overnight for a multi-day course for high school boys. I'm sensitive to cold, but the air conditioning seemed to be good so I didn't get cold and my throat didn't get dry and I was comfortable. It was only adjustable with a dial, but I turned it on and off to adjust it to a weaker setting. It was standard, so the location is not outstanding, but it is sufficient. The breakfast was so delicious that both my son and I had a second helping. The taro was light, soft and moist. I was told at the reception that if cleaning is not necessary, you can leave your towel out and they will put a new one in. Every night we had dinner at the Aeon Mall next door. It's very convenient as you can walk and go shopping. The room was kept very clean and there was little noise at night. The Heart Network festival and local news were interesting and enjoyable.

Traveling with my teenage children, the town room was big and spacious, the single with double with 2 people would have been tight. We had two rooms, one twin room for triple use, and one double room for single use. The place is brand new with a nice onsen on the top floor, awesome laundry machines for 600 yen per load Breakfast was included. Nice touch that they offer one free draft beer per person at arrival. Great location to walk over for bike rental

The REF Matsuyama City Station Hotel by VESSEL Hotels boasts an exceptionally prime location, right in the very heart of Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture. It's conveniently situated right next to Takashimaya department store and the city's iconic Ferris wheel 🎡, offering super easy access to both Matsuyama Castle and Shimonada Station. The room itself was quite spacious. This was my first time in Japan encountering a design where the washbasin was cleverly positioned outside the main bathroom area, which genuinely made the bathroom feel more expansive. The room also came equipped with a small table and two chairs, which was incredibly convenient. The breakfast was a particular highlight! There was a wide variety of delicious options, and everything tasted great. The sea bream sashimi, in particular, was incredibly fresh and succulent 😋. Among the five types of orange juice available, the 'Wenzhou Orange' was the sweetest – I highly recommend anyone visiting to try it! 🥳

It was in a very convenient location, close to the express bus stop and Matsuyama Castle. The bathrooms and toilets were very clean and I had a pleasant stay. I was hoping for free coffee, but unfortunately it ended in June. I had breakfast, which was delicious and surprised me with the variety of over 30 different ingredients. They also kept my luggage for me before check-in and after check-out, which was very helpful. For what I got, it was a great deal!

Came here for some business. The hotel is very good in the local area. The breakfast is rich and the scenery is also very good. The price is much more cost-effective than Tokyo and Osaka. It is an authentic Japanese niche place. I will come here for a trip next time.
