Hotels With Breakfast in Vaavu Atoll, Maldives

We had an unforgettable experience at the Madi Grand Hotel in Fulidhoo, Maldives, from March 12 to 17. Although our original plan was from March 11 to 17, a flight change led to an adjustment. However, the team handled the situation professionally and made us feel at ease from the start. We had a few questions before our trip, and the team responded kindly and promptly. Special thanks to Shariq and his colleagues, who gave us a warm welcome, showed us around, and provided great advice on what to do on the island. We traveled as a group of three and booked two amazing excursions the next day: a combo trip to the nurse sharks, Turtle Bay, shipwreck, and sandbank. Everything was perfectly organized, and we felt safe throughout the trip. Shariq and the boat captain created a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. If you’re nervous about snorkeling, Shariq is the perfect guide to help you feel at ease and enjoy the experience. He also took stunning photos of us, creating lifelong memories. We also did night fishing, which was a lot of fun. The team made sure that everyone had a chance to catch a fish—many of us caught more than one! Afterwards, we enjoyed a delicious BBQ prepared by the hotel, which was the perfect way to end the evening. Another highlight was the house reef tour, where we saw beautiful fish and even a turtle. The reef is recovering well, and the vibrant marine life was incredible. We also captured some stunning photos during this experience. A very special moment was celebrating my birthday during our stay. The team came up with a lovely surprise that made my day even more memorable. The chocolate brownie was absolutely delicious – thank you again for this wonderful gesture! But our absolute highlight was the dolphin snorkeling trip! Swimming with dolphins was magical, and since we went early, we were almost alone with them. It was an experience we’ll never forget. The hotel is centrally located on the island, which is very compact and easy to explore. You can easily reach everything on foot, as Fulidhoo has no cars. The Bikini Beach is also nearby, and the hotel provides sun loungers and umbrellas upon request. They even provided mosquito spray, which was a thoughtful touch. The room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was delicious. The view from the rooftop terrace was simply breathtaking. Shariq and the entire team are wonderful hosts, doing their work with passion and care. Every wish we had was fulfilled, and every excursion was worth it. We truly appreciated their hospitality and have taken them into our hearts. We wholeheartedly recommend the Madi Grand Hotel! If you’re looking for an unforgettable experience on Fulidhoo, this is the place to be.

Our stay in Nooe has been amazing overall. Our over water villa is nothing short of spectacular. We loved how spacious, gorgeous, and clean it was. The facilities at Nooe seemed to be all brand new and they were very generous to share it with their guests. We loved how welcomed we were at Nooe. To name a few of the amazing staff that made our stay even more special than the destination already was; Muzu took us for a tour of the entire private island just right before we were about to check out and he really made sure that no stone was left unturned and showed us a great time. The dinig staff were all amazing as well, in particular, Charrie was very helpful, knowledgable, had an amazing personality and was very kind and warm towards us. Thank you to these amazing people at Nooe and thank you for making this a great vacation that's one for the books! We will for sure go back to the Maldives to experience its magic all over again.

Our time at Thundi Resort was wonderful, thanks to Shifaz and his team who were all very helpful and friendly. The food was great, Chef Mohit catered to our needs well and he's a fabulous cook. I'd like to give a special mention to Kiren—she's simply amazing! She's a very sweet, kind, and genuinely helpful person. From the very beginning, she explained everything in detail and calmly, was always available, and helped with even the smallest questions. A special thank you for her help with the internet and all the everyday details—Kiren makes you feel completely comfortable and relaxed, as if you're a welcome guest, not just a tourist. People like her truly create a relaxing atmosphere. I'm so grateful for her care and warmth ❤️

We were picked up at the Velana airport after an overnight stay at the local island, with transfer fee of $40 USD per person to take the speedboat to Fulidhoo, where Kinan Retreat is at. After alighting from the jetty at Fulidhoo, it's a short 5 mins walk to the Retreat. Welcome drinks and hot hand towels were offered. We missed the morning excursion trip but decided to go for it the next day. The room provided can have an extra bed for $15 USD. Fulidhoo is a small local island but it's the favorite hangout for stingrays and nurse sharks. You will be able to spot these lovely creatures around the shore, especially near evening time when there are people who start feeding them. You will be able to get up close and even touch them, but with caution. We went on an evening fishing trip that cost $45 USD per person, inclusive of a BBQ dinner for the dishes that were caught. On the next day before leaving for our resort island stay, we took the excursion trip to see dolphins, snorkeling with nurse sharks at SharkPoint and went turtle spotting, all these for $40 USD per person. Underwater videos were captured and shared by WhatsApp. Great service by the counter lady Shahidah. I will recommend this Retreat to visitors, and you will not be disappointed with the time spent on the island.

It's very close to the pier. The color of the sea at the door is so beautiful. Linda, who received us, was very enthusiastic to pick us up at the pier and explain the hotel matters to us. This hotel is considered the best hotel in Fulidhoo Island. It seems that you can go free diving on the north side of the island. There are nurse sharks and manta rays. The girl who lived next to me went there with her friends. I signed up for the shipwreck snorkeling and 2-day scuba fun dive of the hotel's diving center. It was great and interesting. I felt that I saw more than I did on the Maldives liveaboard. I recommend everyone to sign up for night diving. At 5:30, you can see underwater fireflies when you turn off the flashlight. After the water level is raised, the sky is full of stars. It's too romantic. I've quit diving because of what you said. I will go there again if I have the chance. See you again!

We are very glad we ended up booking Plumeria. The whole stay was highly relaxing and pleasant. The staff there were superb, always happy to help. Room we stayed in was a positive surprise, it was much better than expected. Food never let us down, and staff there were also super friendly and efficient. We have to give special thanks to manager Azeers and Naveen, thank you for your great services which definitely made our stay a memorable one! Hope we will be back to Plumeria and see all of you again!
