This was our second stay at the hotel, and the experience was just okay. The kids’ pool and city view were nice, but the service was poor. We had a frightening experience when we were stuck in the lift for 25–30 minutes. The lift seems old and not well maintained. I hope the hotel takes this seriously and ensures guest safety so others do not face the same situation. We also requested a small anniversary gesture—a heart towel design on the bed—a week before check-in, but it was not arranged due to a lack of staff. This was disappointing, as the request was made well in advance.
I understand that this is the largest hotel in Kuantan and it is imposing. They decorated enthusiastically for Christmas. The rooms are large enough with clean linens and a firm mattress. The location is great since it's across the road from the largest mall. The coffee lounge was satisfactory. The main problem area was that almost no one spoke basic English well enough to understand simple requests. They try and mean well but only a few could understand what I wanted. This was very frustrating. We stayed in this hotel three years ago as well, and there was not this problem at that time. Also, the safe in our room did not work.
We had such a pleasant family getaway at Colmar Tropicale with our two little ones. The whole experience was smooth and enjoyable from the moment we checked in. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially when it came to assisting us with bags and stroller access — something we truly appreciate as parents of two babies!
The French-inspired village is beautiful and peaceful, perfect for slow family walks and photos. Our room was clean, spacious enough for the babies’ essentials, and comfortable for all of us. We also loved how calm the environment was, making nap times easy.
The Chateau is a family friendly resort, it is also a great place for events like weddings or celebration.
When you arrive to the chateau, it feels as if you were in a fairy tale, castle in the woods. The condition and maintenance of the chateau is awesome, very cozy yet grand at the same time. The staff are very friendly and welcoming to their guests, providing top notch service. There are many different locations to explore and activities to do around the facilities, which make the stay a very eye opening and entertaining one. The room was beautiful, interior design to perfection, very comfy and clean, definitely had a good rest. The food provided at the chateau, one mouth watering meal, it definitely satisfied our taste buds.
Overall the experience at this hotel was fantastic, one that I would recommend to many. I would definitely come back again in the future.
We had a great stay at Swiss-Garden Hotel Genting Highlands with our 6 year old. The room was very spacious and super clean, which made travelling as a family much more comfortable. Everything felt well maintained and tidy.
The rooftop swimming pool was a lovely bonus — clean, relaxing, and a great spot for our child to enjoy while we took in the views. The hotel had a calm, family-friendly vibe, perfect for a short getaway.
Overall, a comfortable and clean hotel that works really well for families with young children. We’d happily stay here again!
The island's scenery is breathtaking, especially in the evenings as the sun sets. The combination of the boardwalk, the water, the clouds, and the seagulls is truly captivating. You can also snorkel and kayak on the island, or simply relax on a cushion by the beach, gazing at the clear blue water, listening to the crashing waves, and minding your own business. It's a relaxing and comfortable experience.
The rooms are decorated in a wood-style style. Ours even had a small pool, a patio, and a small loft. Everything was well-equipped. Knowing we were Chinese tourists, they even switched the Netflix program on the TV to Chinese—a thoughtful touch. The hotel also offers a turndown service with scented candles and a small note on a leaf, making you feel instantly at home. Regarding food, there's a Malaysian restaurant and an Italian restaurant on the island (the hotel owner is Italian, married to a Malaysian woman, and built a hotel here). Breakfast is served at the hotel's buffet, offering both a buffet and à la carte options. The bread, various toasts, muffins, and yogurt are all delicious. I recommend ordering the ones with peanut butter. We only ate at the Italian restaurant once, which was average. The rest of our stay was at the Malaysian restaurant. The chef is a master at making rich, spicy, sour, and fried dishes, and he's very humorous. The smoothies are also very authentic, and I especially recommend the green apple juice, which is a refreshing summer treat. There's also a small bar during happy hour that sells grilled food and fresh seafood. We didn't know about it and missed it, but we ended up ordering a burger, which was amazing! The gravy was juicy, and while the bread was a little dry, it outweighed the problem. Even the roasted potatoes on the side were delicious! Finally, the hotel service here is impeccable. The staff greets you with a smile and immediately seeks to assist you with any needs. In short, it feels like home, and thinking of them brings a sense of security.
Transportation was a bit of a hassle. We landed at Kuala Lumpur Airport, chartered a car to Mersing for a ferry, and spent a few hours exploring Malacca along the way. We departed from the airport's Outlet at around 2:00 PM, arrived in Malacca around 4:00 or 5:00 PM, and departed for Mersing at 7:00 PM, arriving around 11:00 PM. We slept in a homestay in Mersing. The next day, we took the 11:30 PM ferry to Tioman Island, and then another ten-minute ride on the hotel's boat to the hotel. It was a hassle, but on our last day, the hotel dropped us off at the Tioman Island jetty for the ferry. Seeing them say goodbye to us, I couldn't help but think I'd return one day. Besides the scenery, it was their simplicity, sincerity, and thoughtfulness that made this hotel feel like home. It truly was ”home, sweet home.”
The hotel was at the peak of Genting Highland, I would say. At first, finding the hotel was quite hard because of the haze. But, then once we arrived at the hotel, especially our room, we were super excited because of the view! The room with mountain view was absolutely gorgeous! And the breakfast that we had the next morning were also good. I love the varieties of the foods. Overall, it was a nice stay and will recommend to others.
Nice and clean environment 🥰 The view is beautiful, the staff are very friendly. I brought my baby in a stroller and they allowed me to use the lift to get to the room. They also provided the baby cot with clean bedding for my little one. 🥰
Compared to many hotels in Genting, this hotel offers good value for money and feels quite new. The room facilities are good, and the bed is very comfortable. The highlight of our stay was the breakfast, which had a wide and generous selection.
The main drawback is the 1.8 km road leading to the hotel, which is currently affected by nearby construction. The road is uneven with many potholes and is poorly lit at night.
Another issue was that before the 12 p.m. checkout, we were hoping to relax in the room, but the room cleaning upstairs was quite noisy. The sound of moving furniture made it difficult to rest. We hope the management can improve this.
The best place to stay at cameron highlands....view is solid ...breakfast is nice with a nice view and nice spread of food...clean and comfortable room....sleep really well with nothing to worry about.

GGuest UserAmma make this one short,
The place is nice, staff were amazing, food could be alot better i mean depedns its almost all Asian.
For all coming to visit, this place is more like a romantic trip than a family vacay.
The beach is very bad TBH its all rocky, no beach front that you can actually lay on and enjoy the dash o'water
The closest lets say snorkelling requires a package purchase or if you know a sea taxi, as relying on this beach's marine life its sad, dead coral everywhere.
MmangosellerI stayed at Crockfords Hotel Genting in early October 2025 and was genuinely disappointed by the level of service — especially for a hotel that claims to be Malaysia’s leading luxury property.
On 3 October, I approached the concierge Duty Manager around 9:40am regarding the hotel Wi-Fi, which kept showing an “invalid credentials” error. Instead of taking the initiative to verify the problem — which turned out to be something as simple as incorrect login details given at check-in — he insisted that the IT team would need to come into my room to fix it.
Later in the day, another staff member resolved the issue within minutes by simply checking the credentials. It’s baffling how the Duty Manager couldn’t do something that basic.
Throughout my stay, I also noticed that many of the staff seemed lost and unsure of how to handle simple situations — almost like the blind leading the blind. There was a clear lack of coordination and communication among them.
The breakfast experience was another major letdown. I had breakfast there for three consecutive days, and throughout, the food was never hot — the noodles in soup were the only consistently warm item served. To make matters worse, the staff did not communicate properly among themselves. On one morning, we were told to wait while a table by the window was being cleared for us. After waiting a good five minutes, another group of guests was allowed to take the exact table we were waiting for. The explanation given was simply that “the other guests wanted the table.” Completely unacceptable for a hotel of this supposed calibre.
The only saving grace was the Duty Manager working on 5 Oct and overseeing the breakfast buffet, who was attentive, proactive, and took the initiative to check if guests needed drinks or assistance. His professionalism truly stood out amidst the confusion elsewhere.
For a hotel that boasts winning the Forbes Travel Guide 5-Star Award seven years in a row, this experience was frankly a joke. The gap between Crockfords’ reputation and its actual service standards is staggering.
Truly disappointing and nowhere near what one would expect from a so-called luxury hotel.
PS: At least the view was great.

LLeon TMThis is my first time staying at this hotel. The location is perfect, near Kea farm market and EQ strawberry farm, both within walking distance. Plus, parking is free. However, this hotel is quite old, and the cleanliness needs some work. The breakfast buffet is just fine for a quick bite before heading to the strawberry farm. I'd recommend it if you're looking for a great spot near Kea farm, but if you want a more comfortable stay, you might want to look elsewhere.
GGuest UserAlthough the hotel is a bit old, it offers great value for money. The beach is beautiful, the environment is relaxing, and everything is clean and well maintained. I truly enjoyed my stay here and will definitely come back again!”
GGuest UserRoom suit for 2 pax.
Toilet and shower seperated.
If u have more than 2 luggages the room quite small
So far the room just ok for me 1 pax and the nearest
to all amenities up at the genting. Im travelling and staying here because of the Prudential event. I find it very convenient to stay here. My 2nd time staying here for both occasion.
JJungggI’d recommend staying at this hotel if you were to attend event or any concert at Arena of Stars because its just few steps away. The checkin process was smooth with the help of staff for kiosk checkin. The room was cozy and spacious. Even without aircond, you will be freezing cold.
GGuest UserThis is our 3rd time booking for this hotel. Unfortunately, we are not so pleased this time. Lift at Tower was not working well during check out time which was very stressful as many people need to use during that time. Only one lift is working out of the 4 lifts. We ended up using the cargo lift.. Housekeeping did not clean our room on day 2.
TTaogehWe had a wonderful stay at Cameron Highland Resort. The service was excellent, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was a highlight – everything is freshly cooked to order from the menu, so the food came hot and delicious. Truly a delightful experience, and we will definitely visit again!
