li.ohaoThe hotel's location is a definite highlight, absolutely stunning. However, it's crucial to arrange transportation with the hotel in advance, otherwise, an Uber ride will cost you an arm and a leg. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the signature Banyan Tree essential oils felt like an amazing bonus in a desert hotel. Overall service was excellent, with friendly staff always ready to assist. Of course, there was one disappointment: the mountain pool was closed due to a safety issue with falling rocks.

Anonymous UserMy recent stay at Makarem Burj Al Madinah was truly remarkable, and it is a hotel I would highly recommend to anyone visiting the holy city. From the moment I arrived, the experience exceeded expectations in every possible way. One of the hotel’s greatest advantages is its excellent location, just a short and convenient walk from the blessed Masjid Al Nabawi. This proximity makes it incredibly easy to attend prayers, especially Fajr and late-night prayers, without the stress of transportation or long walking distances.
The staff at Makarem Burj Al Madinah deserve special recognition. Every team member I encountered was welcoming, respectful, and genuinely eager to help. The front desk staff handled check-in smoothly and professionally, always ready to assist with questions or requests. Equally impressive was the cleaning team, who maintained the rooms and public areas to an exceptionally high standard. Their attention to detail was evident daily, and their polite and friendly manner made the stay even more comfortable.
As the hotel is only around six months old, everything feels fresh, modern, and thoughtfully designed. The rooms, corridors, and common areas are spotless, well maintained, and beautifully finished. There is a noticeable sense of cleanliness throughout the property, complemented by a pleasant and refreshing fragrance that greets you as soon as you enter. This consistent cleanliness and inviting atmosphere contribute greatly to a sense of peace and relaxation after long hours spent at the Haram.
Another excellent feature of the hotel is the 24-hour gym, which is thoughtfully segregated for men and women. This allows guests to exercise comfortably and privately at any time of day or night. The gym is modern, clean, and well equipped, making it easy to maintain a fitness routine even while traveling. Having round-the-clock access is especially convenient for guests with busy schedules centered around prayer times.
Breakfast at Makarem Burj Al Madinah was another highlight of the stay. The breakfast spread is generous, varied, and well organized, offering a wide selection of dishes to suit different tastes. From fresh and hot options to lighter choices, everything was prepared to a high standard. The dining area is clean and pleasant, and the breakfast staff are attentive, friendly, and efficient, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable start to the day.
Overall, Makarem Burj Al Madinah delivers an outstanding hospitality experience. Its close proximity to Masjid Al Nabawi, combined with its new and pristine condition, friendly staff, excellent housekeeping, well-designed gym facilities, and high-quality breakfast, make it an ideal choice for visitors to Madinah. I would gladly stay here again so long as prices remain reasonable God willing and confidently recommend it to anyone seeking comfort, convenience, and quality during their visit to this sacred city.

Anonymous UserIt's on par with a typical Home Inn, but thankfully the location is great, very close to the Prophet's Mosque. During Ramadan, breakfast isn't served at the usual times. There's a kettle, toothbrush and toothpaste, and slippers provided. Parking is free.

Ambiance: Quiet

I'm incredibly grateful to the hotel staff! I accidentally left my backpack in the room during a room change. After contacting the front desk, they quickly retrieved it for me. My passport, bank cards, and US dollar cash were all inside, and everything was returned to me exactly as I left it! A huge thank you to the hotel staff!

We had originally booked another hotel but upon arrival there we immediately canceled our reservation and were looking for another hotel in the area ASAP, something clean, close to Masjid Nabawi and fairly priced. We knew the name and brand; however, we saw two Intercontinental hotels and went with the one we felt had a slight edge or advantage.
The hotel was built many years ago and we were informed that it is in the planning process of a renovation so we knew ahead of time what to expect. It has signature blue carpet and a 1950’s/1960’s vibe that I personally adored (almost out of a James Bond movie with Sean Connery). Everyday we stayed at the hotel, it grew on us. The view outside was heavenly mashAla. Remember you can open the window haha some people I imagine think they can’t. It such an experience and you have to do it. Most importantly, however, the sweatheart staff and how accommodating they were, you forget you’re staying at the Intercontinental and imagine you’re at your friends house. Again, We had an amazing window view and could see in the direction of Uhud. All The cafe’s are right outside of the hotel, the mosque is literally right outside the hotel and down the walking path, maybe a 5 minute walk. Plenty of pigeons to feed, affordable Ubers/ Taxi right outside, you can walk to Uhud you can walk to Quba, you can do it all. And the best part, the check-in/help desk are right in front of you when you walk in to the lobby.
Side note: if you enjoy peoppe watching , you get a great view from your hotel room to the outside.
They have a coffee bar in the Lobby with free dates and Arabic coffee (world class) and this hotel served the best Breakfast and room service food I’ve ever had and I’ve been to 51 countries, aged 44. It was even at par or better maybe than the Jabal Omar in Mecca we stayed at. You absolutely cannot lose out by staying at this hotel. If you have any issues pick up your room phone and dial any one of the prompts and someone will alleviate any issues you have.
The hotel executive management were world class and again treated me like a friend/family. Based off our repertoire I’d come back to this hotel because Sister Khadijah and staff were so amazing mashAla.

Guest UserThe hotel is very close to the Haram. The services inside the hotel are excellent. However, the cleanliness is far below expectations. As for check-in, we were deceived; I had booked for an 11 AM check-in but wasn't allowed in before 3 PM. The reception staff told us that the hotel's policy differs from the website's, and we were the ones who suffered because of it. Therefore, next time I'll book directly with the hotel and not through a website. Wishing you all the best.

I was really impressed with the hotel, location and the friendliness of the staff. The hotel was very clean and always had a pleasant smell all the time. Rooms were very spacious, even the bathroom was very big. Room had a safe, ironing board and tge complementary tea, coffee and water bottles, which I thought was a nice touch.
Staff were very friendly, both the housekeeping and on reception. Always made you feel welcome and always offering to help. There are 4 lifts, which are quite fast but during peak times can take a while to get in and out of them. But to work around that, you just leave earier for prayers, Masjid Nabawi is less than 5 minutes away, so location was excellent and you have all eatery close by.

MichaelLocation is perfect. Short walk to the Mosque and easy to organise walking to all the shops.
Staff are exceptional, always looking to enhance your experience.
Breakfast was good with a good selection but did lack variety day in day out. Staff here are very good and are always willing to help. Downside would be the coffee machines that never seemed to be working correctly.
We had a couple of maintenance issues, but staff were sent promptly and most were rectified in a good time.
A tip would ask for your room to face the mall, the otherside had a lot of traffic noise which was constant.
