GGuest UserMy expectations were fully met, and the hotel lived up to the hype. The only minor drawback is that check-in isn't until 3:30 PM (though earlier check-in is possible if rooms are available), but this hotel is just incredibly popular.
The hotel boasts numerous rooms with an exceptionally high occupancy rate and a variety of room types. Stepping inside, there's a magical sense of calm. For the same price, you might only get a standard room in Shanghai, but here we enjoyed a lake view suite.
The service was also top-notch; my family felt right at home, praising the hospitality. It was money well spent.
Even during the holiday, the swimming pool and hot spring weren't overcrowded, which speaks to excellent management, as reservations are required. Since it's winter, swimming was a bit chilly. However, there's also a sizable, slightly warmer children's pool area, which is absolutely fantastic.

GGuest UserI was really happy with the room; it was large and beautifully decorated. It really lives up to the Banyan Tree name. I stayed at the Banyan Tree Shanghai a few years ago, and for a similar price, all you really got was a Bund view. The size of the room, the sophisticated feel, and the resort-like atmosphere there can't compare to Xixi. Here, there are two huge lakeside terraces, and the ducks and fish are smart – they'll come right up to you for food. The room itself was incredible, my parents couldn't even find me! The bathroom was also massive, though I wasn't a fan of the scent of the toiletries; it was a bit cloying. The hotel's exterior is stunning both day and night, definitely worth exploring. You can walk all the way to the Ambassador Suite area to get a closer look at the water. It's actually part of the Xixi Wetland, so you can catch a glimpse of the wetland's wild side. The hotel golf cart can take you to the free section of Xixi Wetland outside the main gate, and after you've explored, you can contact the hotel to pick you up again. Every single staff member at the hotel was warm and attentive.

KKaren YueZhangSplendid Clubhouse is rated the topmost scenic hotel in Wuzhen, and guests are allocated a butler to assist on arrival at the ancient water town's tourist centre.
Our butler was JiaJia, a very attentive lady who got in touch with us on WeChat even before our arrival. She coordinated with our precious hotel to ensure we wouldn't get lost after reaching Wuzhen's tourist entrance.
We were brought to our hotel on a traditional river boat. Along the way we had our breath taken away by awesome views we could only once imagine.
The hotel occupies a building that was once home to a wealthy shipbuilder. His main hall is conserved as a showcase and photo site for hotel guests.
There are quiet and shaded courtyards on hotel grounds for tea, rest, and reflection.
I packed my family into a 2-bedroom unit that overlooks a public garden. I was told that this garden is covered in flowers in spring and summer. It is barren now in winter, but still pretty to me.
We got to pre-order breakfast in the hotel, as well as a room fragrance (I picked rose!).
Location is splendid. Many top food stalls and restaurants are just one either side of the hotel entrance, and one can easily get to all of Wuzhen's top sights on foot.
Be sure to eat a meal at the hotel's restaurant, where the Osmanthus roasted duck is so delicious and memorable!

GGuest UserOur stay at Naked Stables was absolutely wonderful and truly memorable for our whole family. We travelled as a family of six, including two elderly members and two kids, and the resort was perfect for all ages.
There were plenty of engaging activities to keep everyone happy — from fishing, pottery, and crafts to outdoor experiences. The kids especially loved the horse riding and grooming sessions, which were thoughtfully organised and very safe.
We stayed in a three-bedroom villa, which was luxurious, spacious, and extremely comfortable. Each bedroom having its own bathtub was such a treat. The villa was beautifully decorated, and we were deeply touched by the thoughtful surprise of decorations and cakes arranged for our son’s birthday — a gesture that made our stay extra special.
Getting around the resort was effortless, as the buggy service promptly picked us up from the villa whenever we needed. We also loved having a lovely hiking trail right outside our villa, perfect for a peaceful morning.
Breakfast was delicious with a great variety, and the noodle station was a definite highlight for us. A special mention goes to Chuan Chuan the resident dog— friendly, gentle, and absolutely adored by our kids.
Every detail reflected care and thoughtfulness, making our stay both relaxing and joyful. We left with beautiful memories and cannot wait to return to Naked Stables again. Highly recommended for families looking for comfort, nature, and meaningful experiences.

We recently stayed at Xianhua Sandalwood International Hotel during the national holiday in China, and overall, our experience was quite enjoyable. Here’s a breakdown of our stay:

**Check-In Experience:**
We arrived at Xianhua Sandalwood International Hotel and the check-in process was smooth and efficient. The staff greeted us warmly and provided all the necessary information about our stay. However, the English was limited, but at least it was smooth and no hassles.
**Room Comfort:**
Our room was spacious and well-appointed. We appreciated the comfortable king sized bed, view, huge bathtub, cleanliness, and spaciousness. However, as a coffee lover, there was only one serving of coffee, so when we woke up the next morning I was quite upset that only myself was able to enjoy an early morning coffee. Nevertheless, it was perfect for relaxing after a day of sightseeing.
**Facilities:**
The hotel offered various facilities that enhanced our stay. We particularly enjoyed facilities like a fitness center, indoor pool, hot springs, table tennis and the pool table. The breakfast buffet was delightful, offering a mix of local and international cuisine.
**Service:**
The staff was exceptional. They were always available and eager to assist with any requests. Their friendly approach made our stay even more pleasant. The front desk manager Kang was super friendly and arranged for the coffee bar to open earlier the day we checked out.
**Room for Improvement:**
While our overall experience was positive, there were a couple of areas for improvement. We traveled with our 7 month old daughter and the noise and maintenance were quite unpleasant. However, these didn’t detract significantly from our enjoyment.
**Final Thoughts:**
This international hotel is just a few minutes' drive from the city, offering a serene escape with a beautiful exterior. Guests are welcomed by a picturesque fish pond, vibrant gardens, playful rabbits, and a designated play area for kids, making it an ideal family-friendly destination.

A special shout-out to Ms. Xu Fangyu; she was incredibly patient, guided us, and explained everything very clearly. I will definitely be back to stay at this hotel and will recommend it to my friends and family. Very good service and good hospitality! When we were lost, we called the hotel, and their response was amazing. They helped us find our way, and their response was efficient and professional. HHaidixiaozongduipaijiThe hotel's location is undoubtedly superb. Facing West Lake directly, it feels amazing to step out and immediately be by the lake. You can even catch the West Lake scenic tour bus right outside the hotel! To its back is the bustling Intime In77 shopping center, making dining and shopping incredibly convenient – just a left turn out the door.
The hotel upgraded from a Hyatt in 2018 to the only Grand Hyatt in Zhejiang, a clear step up in prestige, though also in price. Due to the building's structure, the room sizes increased slightly, but not significantly. The soundproofing in the rooms is excellent, which helps with sleep. However, I personally felt the hot water temperature wasn't high enough, even though the hot water flow met standards – I just wish it were faster.
The breakfast offers a rich variety of dishes. Besides the standard offerings, it incorporates many local specialties like Roujiamo (meat burger), Shima Wuxiang (five-spice meat roll), and Chongqing noodles, most of which are freshly made on-site, giving it a vibrant, local feel. I also experienced the dinner buffet, which surprisingly remains incredibly popular after all these years – I almost couldn't get a reservation! A highlight is the unlimited Wellington beef. It's quite something how foreigners managed to combine so many ingredients with such a bland cut of beef to create this dish. On the day I dined, there was also winged fish soup with yellow croaker, among many other options. Overall, it was excellent value for money.

MMieerxiThe hotel environment is lovely, and check-in was quite smooth. A dedicated butler even guided us to our room and explained the hotel's public facilities. However, I was surprised to find that all the USB outlets next to the table in the room were broken. The hotel later lent me a power adapter. This hotel is more suited for adults looking for relaxation; it's not ideal for families, as there are very few children's facilities. If you're traveling with kids, you'll need to explore nearby attractions. And as for the turndown service and turndown gift – let's just say they were almost non-existent and a bit laughable. The hotel explained it was due to environmental reasons, which was different from a similar experience I had in Nanjing. Overall, the hotel service is quite good. If I were with friends or older relatives, I'd happily stay cooped up in the hotel without going out. But with kids, I wouldn't specifically recommend it for a vacation here. If you don't want to go out, you'll pretty much just be watching TV in your room.
