TIME is truly a very reliable local Japanese car rental company; all the staff are Japanese. The rental location isn't within walking distance of the airport, and there's no staff at the counter. Just pick up the phone on the counter, tell them you have a reservation, give them your booking name, and they'll direct you to exit Fukuoka Airport and wait for staff at bus stop number 14 across the street. It's very convenient. If there's no one at the counter, don't just wait around; pick up the phone and have your translations ready.

The rental location is close to the domestic exit of Fukuoka Airport. The vehicles are new, and the hybrid models are very fuel-efficient. The staff are well-trained, and pick-up and drop-off times are short. The included ETC (Electronic Toll Collection) system is very convenient for using Japanese highways, and all highway tolls are printed out at checkout. The rental price is also reasonable, making it my top choice for my next Kyushu road trip.

The location is just a short walk from the Hakata Station subway exit, very easy to find. The overall service was excellent, and the vehicle was very new. It's relatively difficult to find a vehicle in Japan that can fit two 24-inch suitcases, but Hakata has quite a few options.
