FOURTH FEST 2025 Laishley Park, Punta Gorda FOURTH FEST, Punta Gorda’s Annual Independence celebration, is scheduled to take place Friday, July 4, 2025 at Laishley Park, Punta Gorda. This festival is a celebration of the United States with nonstop entertainment for the entire family. This year’s event features Water-Mania, a group of 12 giant waterslides which will be in Laishley Park. There will be slides of all types and sizes for all ages. In addition to the Water-Mania water slides, there will be a large Kid’s Fun Zone with plenty to keep the young ones excited throughout the day and evening. Vendors, displays, and unique shopping opportunities await as the park will be filled with booths just waiting for attendees to visit. There will also be plenty of fun festival food, cold beer, and beverages with live music throughout the day. What would an Independence celebration be without fireworks? This year’s fireworks display is sure not to disappoint with what organizers are calling the most spectacular fireworks display in the event’s history scheduled to kick off at 9:00pm lighting up the sky over the Peace River. The fireworks will be launched from twin barges located in front of Laishley Park! In all, it is sure to be an enjoyable day to remember for the entire family. During a visit to the Shell Creek treatment facilities, participants will explore the Shell Creek reservoir, Hendrickson dam, Shell Creek Surface Water Treatment Plant, and the Shell Creek Reverse Osmosis Plant. This tour provides the opportunity to see our treatment plant operators in action and understand how water is produced and distributed within our community. Please note : This is a walking tour, predominantly outdoors. The tour may be canceled in case of inclement weather. Tour spots are extremely limited. Tickets are issued on a first-come, first-served basis. Closed toe shoes required - No sandals, flip-flops, high heels or shoes with narrow heels. Hats, sunglasses, and a water bottle are recommended. Parking The Water Treatment Plant is located at 38100 Washington Loop Road. When coming from the west, the plant is 1.8 miles from the turn at US17 and Washington Loop Road. Access and parking is at Gate 2. Cancellation Policy: Please be aware that the tour may be canceled under certain circumstances.
