Mountain Biking
The NW Trail Sisters are inviting beginner and green level riders to join them for a guided ride at Sandy Ridge Trail System. This inclusive event is tailored for women and non-binary riders who enjoy exploring trails and are looking to connect with like-minded individuals. The ride, scheduled for May 17, 2024, is designed for those with basic biking skills, including knowledge of bike operations on varying terrains. Participants can expect a no-drop ride where everyone supports and encourages each other. Riders will cover up to 4 miles with 500 feet of elevation gain, navigating roots and rocks along the way. To ensure a pleasant experience, riders are encouraged to bring essential gear like a mountain bike, helmet, gloves, layers for unpredictable Oregon weather, water, and easily digestible snacks. For inquiries, contact ride leader Stacy S via email. This event is made possible by the Northwest Trail Alliance, a community of over 5,500 mountain bikers dedicated to enhancing trail opportunities in the Pacific Northwest.
