Join Roseann Egidio Watercolors for a watercolor painting workshop on Saturday, 8/31 at 10 am. In this workshop, students (15 and up) will receive step by step instructions and be taught various techniques with personal teaching from award winning watercolor artist Roseann Egidio to create a watercolor painting on 16 by 20 paper. Ticket Cost: $45 per person, all supplies included. Instructor: Roseann Egidio Watercolors Instructor Bio:Roseann Egidio Watercolors Roseanne Egidio is a native of New Jersey, and has lived in Jacksonville for the past decade. Her previous career was as an art director in New York City. She has been working in watercolors for years. As a member of the Jacksonville Watercolor Society, Roseann has won many awards. Roseann was most recently the Artist in Residence for the Arts in Medicine Program at U F Health (Shands) Hospital in Jacksonville. Previously Roseann was the Art Teacher for grades K-12 at Mainspring Academy, and Collage School in Ponte Vedra, both schools for students with autism and special needs. She also teaches watercolor through community education at Fletcher High School. Roseann has also demonstrated at the Cummer Museum in Jacksonville, and has been a recipient of the Jacksonville Community Foundation Grant for Individual Artists. Her work has appeared on the cover of New Smyrna Magazine. She is a member of the Jacksonville Watercolor Society, and the St Augustine Art Association and Jacksonville Coalition for the Visual Arts. Join Melissa Kurtz for a Collage Heart Workshop on Saturday, 9/7! In this class you will create a heart collage on a 6” x 8”, cradled wood panel. The objective of my class is to play with color, creating a beautiful, textured, abstract background, then create a heart by layering handmade papers. All materials will be provided, including handmade papers, heavy body and fluid acrylic paints, paint pens, glue, brushes and tools. The techniques I will be teaching are different ways of tearing and applying paper, a little color theory for creating custom colors, and how to use a palette knife.
