Seine Konzerttätigkeit führte ihn neben Auftritten in Deutschland (u.a. im Herkulessaal und Gasteig München, Beethoven-Haus und Beethovenfest Bonn, Regentenbau Bad Kissingen) auch nach Österreich, Italien, Frankreich, Tschechien, England, Rumänien, Aserbaidschan, in die Schweiz und USA. Bereits mit 14 Jahren komponierte er seine Erste Sinfonie KRAFTWERK, die vom Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra für Oehms Classics eingespielt wurde. 2017 spielte das Radiosinfonieorchester Moskau seine Zweite Sinfonie und Tschaikovskys 1. Klavierkonzert mit ihm als Solisten ein. Auch namhafte Rundfunk-und Fernsehanstalten wie der BR, WDR, Deutschlandradio Kultur, 3Sat oder der ORF sendeten Portraits über ihn. 2018 spielte er mit der Jenaer Philharmonie Beethovens 3. Klavierkonzert. 2021 wählte die English National Ballet School in London den Finalsatz seiner Zweiten Sinfonie (Galaktischer Ritus) als Musik für eine neue Choreographie. 2023 strahlte der Österreichische Rundfunk (OE1) seine Zweite Sinfonie und den Live-Mitschnitt eines Recitals aus. In der Saison 24/25 gastiert Wagner in mehreren Sälen mit Bachs Goldberg-Variationen und seinen Klavierstücken Rhapsotüde und Miniaturen über Mohn. Seit Jahren verbindet ihn auch eine künstlerische Zusammenarbeit mit Lukas Metzenbauer als Co-Komponisten (Operette Café Ringelspiel; Couplets Jahrmarkt-King / Text: Franzobel) und der Autorin Helen Brecht (Chanson-Zyklus Arien ohne Vorhang; Traum einer Maschine u.w.). German version below Sharira is an exploration of movement in the south asian dance medium of Bharatanatyam. Through sharira, the unvocalised relationship of the dancing body and the dance is brought to light. Using traditional compositions from the Carnatic and Hindustani music system of India, the performer brings forth an experience of how the moving body is a sublime storyteller - one that transcends you from the mundane tangible to meet with the intangible. About the artist: Vaibhav Arekar Vaibhav Arekar is one of the most leading male artists of India. An intense, calm and immersive approach is a key signature style of his performance. Vaibhav's choreography is inspired by modernity within the classical template. His keen choreographic interest is equally balanced with solo works as well as ensemble works such as - TRAYYANTA , FOUR SEASONS , SHRIMANT YOGI , VENUGAN , AND SHE SPOKE - which investigate and interrogate various themes in Bharatanatyam. Made of natural fibres, polypropylene, linden wood, and an original electronic composition, the work invites the audience to experience presence through mediation. This setup introduces a curatorial tension between material reality and perceptual distance, asking the viewer to navigate multiple layers of interpretation. The project traces an unusual encounter — not with an action, but with its absence — and examines how coincidence, imagination, and non-human presence can shape creative response. Drawing on posthumanist thought and speculative methods, Obscura Fähigkeit explores how meaning emerges from missing context, indirect perception, and improbable interspecies connections. What sparked the process was a strange coincidence: an encounter that felt significant but lacked explanation. Rather than closing that gap, the work opens it further, following a method grounded in response rather than appropriation — allowing the non-human gesture to remain intact while activating a space for creative dialogue. Event DetailsOn June 14, 2025, Obscura Fähigkeit will be presented for one day only, running continuously from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The installation takes place at Theater Expedition Metropolis in Kreuzberg, Berlin — a historic venue housed in a former medical facility, adding resonance to the work’s exploration of presence, mediation, and embodied perception. This presentation is part of the second edition of Die Höhle_festival, titled Simulacra. Please note: The installation is experienced inside a dark chamber, which may not be suitable for individuals with claustrophobia. The Curated Cupboard A Cupboard Full of Textile StoriesThis is a space of quiet discovery, a collection that speaks through colour, tradition, and time. The Curated Cupboard is a signature Māya experience and much more than a textile collection that we showcase at our home studio—it is an evolving archive of visual narratives and textile stories. Each textile is part of a larger story of hand-printed crafts and the practise of heritage craft techniques. With this one-of-a-kind experience, we explore materiality, imperfection, and the rhythm of the handprinted and handmade crafts. We offer collectors a free test print and buying experience. Textiles in this collection are between €45-100. The First Collection:NATŪRA – Natural Narratives, BagruA collaboration shaped by explorations of patterns, pigments, and prints, printed in Bagru.NATŪRA Natural Narratives, Bagru is a limited-edition capsule collection shaped by the raw beauty of natural colours and the raw authenticity of handcrafted textiles. We worked with blocks found in the Mud and Water and Medatwal family archives. – Techniques: Bagru & Dabu Mud Printing – Dyes we worked with: Indigo, pomegranate, madder, iron deposits (Kashish), harda (Myrobalan) and fermented iron – Forms: Wearable and functional pieces designed to live and travel with – Edition: 10 prints per colour way – No reprints. No restocks. I worked in the Mud and Water workshops and with the blocks. I printed the first sample prints that can be viewed in my studio. My work in the field is important for me. This gives me a deeper understanding of the craft and the textiles' printing process. Hand block printing production is not easy, and my fieldwork also helps me understand the workers' challenges. Das musikalische „Phänomen” Tatjana Vassiljeva zeichnet sich durch perfekte Technik und eine unglaubliche Klangfülle aus. Tatjana Vassiljevas einzigartige Virtuosität wird nur noch von ihrer musikalischen Persönlichkeit und ihren Ideen übertroffen, die sie wunderbar zum Ausdruck bringen kann. Tatjana Vassiljeva führte Pendereckis Concerto Grosso mehrmals auf, 2008 kam es zur Einspielung des zweiten Cellokonzerts. Als Kammermusikerin tritt Tatjana Vassiljeva bei internationalen Festivals auf, unter anderem in Lockenhaus, Kronberg, Verbier, Colmar, auf Elba, bei den Rencontres de musique de chambre in Chambery und La Grange de Meslay und anlässlich der Folles Journées in Nantes, Warschau und Tokyo. Dabei musizierte sie unter anderem mit Viktor Tretiakov, Vladimir Spivakov, Yuri Bashmet, Gidon Kremer, Maxim Vengerov, Baiba Skride, Sayaka Shoji, Jean-Frédéric Neuburger, Plamena Mangova, Antoine Tamestit, Renaud und Gautier Capuçon und Paul Badura-Skoda. 2005 spielte sie mit Letzterem das gesamte Werk für Cello und Klavier von Beethoven. Mit den Solisten der Berliner Philharmoniker hat sie das Philharmonische Streichquintett gegründet, mit dem sie regelmäßig im Rahmen von Kammermusikkonzerten in Europa und Asien auftritt. Ihre erste CD mit Kammermusik von Debussy, Dutilleux, Britten und Strawinsky erschien bei Naxos. Danach wurden weitere drei Aufnahmen bei Accord/Universal veröffentlicht. Ihre Solo-CD mit Werken zeitgenössischer Komponisten (Schtschedrin, Dutilleux, Saariaho, Schnittke, Stroppa und Penderecki) wurde mit dem „Diapason d’Or of the Year” ausgezeichnet. Es folgte eine weitere Einspielung mit Werken von Franck, Schubert und Stravinsky. Insbesondere mit ihrer Solo CD (Kodaly, Ysaye, Tchérepnine, Cassado) überwältigte sie die Musikkritiker, die Tatjana Vassiljeva als die „Neue Diva des Cellos” bezeichneten. Außerdem brachte sie im Februar 2009 bei MIRARE eine von der Kritik gefeierte CD mit den sechs Cellosuiten von Bach heraus. Ebenfalls bei MIRARE erschien im Januar 2010 ihre mit Jean-Frédéric Neuburger eingespielte CD mit den Sonaten für Cello und Klavier von Chopin und Alkan. Die Einspielung des zweiten Cellokonzerts von Penderecki, erschienen bei Naxos im September 2011 mit den Warschauer Philharmonikern unter Antoni Wit, gewann beim International Classical Music Awards 2012 den Preis in der Kategorie Contemporary Music. In this 3-hour workshop designed for kids aged 6–13 (accompanied by a guardian), kids will explore the exciting possibilities of tape art—a fun and accessible way to create bold, unique designs using vibrant adhesive tapes. In this workshop, one of our seasoned tape artists will guide young creators through the basics of tape art. The workshop is hosted in easy English, but is mostly a hands-on experience where language shouldn't be an issue. Kids will learn how to cut, layer, and arrange vibrant tapes to bring their own unique designs to life. From clean geometric lines to playful curves and bold patterns, we encourage following the imagination and experimenting. Previous experience? No previous experience required, and no artistic skills, either! You’ll be amazed at how good your art looks, even if you don’t consider yourself artistically inclined. Let's create with tape! In this 3-hour workshop designed for kids aged 6–13 (accompanied by a guardian), kids will explore the exciting possibilities of tape art—a fun and accessible way to create bold, unique designs using vibrant adhesive tapes. In this workshop, one of our seasoned tape artists will guide young creators through the basics of tape art. The workshop is hosted in easy English, but is mostly a hands-on experience where language shouldn't be an issue. Kids will learn how to cut, layer, and arrange vibrant tapes to bring their own unique designs to life. From clean geometric lines to playful curves and bold patterns, we encourage following the imagination and experimenting. Previous experience? No previous experience required, and no artistic skills, either! You’ll be amazed at how good your art looks, even if you don’t consider yourself artistically inclined. If you work artistically in other mediums, come give tape art a try! It’s meditative, forgiving, and delightfully tactile. Clothes that can get dirty? No painting clothes needed – at our tape art workshops, you won’t get dirty or damage your manicure! Cash? Off weed and high on lexapro since then, he’s been trying to perfect his abstract, dark and stupid stage presence and jokes. For good and bad, he is definitely unlike any other comedian in Berlin.
