Pre-season Training (Staff and Volunteers)Are you ready to gear up for an incredible season ahead? Join us for our Pre-season Training. This in-person training will provide you with the tools, knowledge, and refreshers you need ahead of our busy season. This session is for staff and volunteers at Eltham Palace. The training will be delivered in The Great Hall. The agenda will feature the following (subject to change): Fire safety training - theory and practical - & radio training. 9:30 - 10:00am - arrivals - please be ready and seated to start at 10am. The volunteer portion of the training will end at 13:00 (maybe earlier if we get through the practical quicker than expected) The visitor car park will be available to park in but please don't park on the turning circle as we'll be using this for the practical parts of the training. Please remember to close and lock gates / doors as you move around the site as this is happening on a closed day. Save the date and get ready to take part in our Pre-season Training. Volunteer Training MorningYou asked, we listened. We'll be running a brand new dedicated volunteer training session ahead of our season hitting full tilt and this will be a chance to go over lots of helpful things to assist you within your role at Eltham Palace. We'll be going over a number of things which will be new this year, some things which are worth having a refresher on and it'll also be a chance to be together when so many of you won't bump into each other on different days of the week. This in-person training will provide you with the tools, knowledge, and refreshers you need ahead of our busy season. This session is for volunteers at Eltham Palace and for all roles - it is optional however. The training will be delivered in The Great Hall. Individuals interested in participating in the London Marathon 2025 and supporting the fight against gynaecological cancers can apply for a charity place with #TeamEve. With 60 women diagnosed and 21 losing their lives to these diseases daily in the UK, becoming part of #TeamEve can contribute to enhancing early detection, prediction, and prevention of gynae cancers, ultimately eradicating them. Applications for our charity places are currently open, with successful applicants being notified by the end of June 2024. If selected, a registration fee of £75 and a fundraising commitment of at least £2,500 for The Eve Appeal are required.
