After touring throughout Europe last year, MAMAS’ BOY is coming back home to Berlin for pride weekend! Patrick has performed the show through 28 cities, 14 countries, and two continents. Including a run at last years Edinburgh Fringe Festival. What better way to kick off you CSD Pride weekend than with a show all about growing up with gay parents in the 90's. From getting crystals as a Christmas present to being certified as an energy healer at the age of six, his childhood was never the typical All-American experience. Having two moms was just the start. MAMAS’ BOY is full of stories and jokes about Patrick’s experience growing up with gay parents in the 90s. About this courseThis is a painting workshop with the goal of teaching people how to create paintings using either oil colors or acrylics. The total subject lessons consists of around 27 lessons that last 2.5 hours each. You can join at any time during the course. On each lesson the first part will be about theory and exercise and the second one about canvas time. Each participant will have the chance to work on canvas and start making paintings as artworks. All materials are provided by us. Each lesson has a subject. We do not follow a particular order, and every lesson is actually unique and many times personalized. This means that every time the attendess will have to do something new and different. You do not have to paint on canvas and with the mentioned art materials, you can also choose to use any of your wish. Most of the observations and exercises work well with all art materials. It is suitable for beginners and or even professionals who want to rationalize the canvas painting process. It is being hosted by the visual artist Miltos Despoudis. ABBA vs. Jean-Philippe Rameau Diese beiden Giganten der europäischen Musikgeschichte zu verbinden, scheint verwegen: Jean-Philippe Rameau (1683-1764) und ABBA (1972-)! Schon beim zweiten Hinhören finden sich jedoch unzählige Gemeinsamkeiten: die Originalität und Eingängigkeit ihrer Melodien, die rhythmische Beschwingtheit, sowie beider uneingeschränkte Popularität. Unter dem Titel Dancing Queen schlägt die Lautten Compagney eine Brücke in die Zeit, als weniger die Queens und vielmehr die Kings auf der Tanzfläche anzutreffen waren. ABBAs Musik wird dabei auf Instrumenten der Barockzeit gespielt und mit der Musik Rameaus verschmolzen, so dass kaum noch zu erkennen ist, was aus der Feder des hochbarocken Franzosen und was aus der Werkstatt des schwedischen Popquartetts stammt. About this courseThis is a painting workshop with the goal of teaching people how to create paintings using either oil colors or acrylics. The total subject lessons consists of around 27 lessons that last 2.5 hours each. You can join at any time during the course. On each lesson the first part will be about theory and exercise and the second one about canvas time. Each participant will have the chance to work on canvas and start making paintings as artworks. All materials are provided by us. Each lesson has a subject. We do not follow a particular order, and every lesson is actually unique and many times personalized. This means that every time the attendess will have to do something new and different. You do not have to paint on canvas and with the mentioned art materials, you can also choose to use any of your wish. Most of the observations and exercises work well with all art materials. It is suitable for beginners and or even professionals who want to rationalize the canvas painting process. It is being hosted by the visual artist Miltos Despoudis. How much does it cost?First lesson try-out costs 17€. You can do that only once. 4 x Lessons Packet(2.5 hours each) cost 120€. In order to participate you need to prepay 4 lessons. Wir freuen uns riesig, dass es in Berlin weiterhin den Megamarsch 50/12 bei Nacht geben wird. Gestartet wird am Samstagabend, dem Sonnenuntergang entgegen, durch die Nacht in Richtung Sonnenaufgang und Ziel. Stell Dich der Challenge in der Hauptstadt! Die Strecke wird wieder ein Rundkurs sein. 50km wandern in 12 Stunden. Am Stück. Und später erschöpft und glücklich ins Ziel! Mal ehrlich: Die meisten Menschen werden in ihrem Leben nicht einmal 20 km am Stück zu Fuß gehen. Deshalb bekommst Du beim Megamarsch eine Urkunde, sobald Du diese Hürde genommen hast. Für Kilometer 30 und 40 gibt es ebenfalls eine. Wer physisch und mental stark genug ist, bekommt dann die Ehre mit der 50 km Urkunde und die Aufnahme in die Hall of Fame des Megamarsch 50/12. We meet and sketch each other in Berlin. This is just an art gym that we also exercise our social skills. Afterwards usually we go for lunch as a group. Einen Kopf für einen Tanz – ein fairer Tausch? Das Stück “Salome” von Oscar Wilde zieht durch die internationale Theaterlandschaft und nimmt immer wieder neue Formen an. Nun inszeniert das Ensemble diesen klassischen Text auch für die Berliner Brotfabrik. Es entsteht ein Spiel aus Verlangen und Ringen um Macht. Die Königinnentochter Salome verzehrt sich nach dem von ihrem Stiefvater Herodes gefangen genommenen Propheten Jochanaan, der sie jedoch ablehnt. Herodes selbst ist beschäftigt damit, seine Stieftochter zu begehren. Sie soll von niemandem angesehen werden. Jochanaan hingegen will nicht von ihr angesehen werden. In einem Dreieck der Gewalt spiegeln sich die Charaktere wider. All das steht unter dem Zeichen der Angst vor Vergeltung. Denn der falsche König fürchtet die Worte des Propheten. Der von Lust angetriebene Herodes fordert Salome zu einem Tanz auf, der für mindestens eine der Figuren tödlich enden wird. Dabei stellt sich immer wieder die Frage: Wer kontrolliert hier wen? Im Mondschein der Nacht wird Salomes Besessenheit zu Rache. Sie küsst den abgetrennten Kopf Jochanaans, der sie zwar nicht mehr ansehen kann, seinen Blick aber auch nicht mehr von ihr abwendet. In der Ausstellung Stadt Mensch Meyer treffen städtische Impressionen von Lucas Wanckel auf Expressionen der Auseinandersetzung mit dem Menschen von Paul Bischitzky. Die Stadt mit ihren Städerinnen und Städtern. Während Städter*innen stark von der Stadt geprägt sind, prägen sie zugleich ständig und stetig die Stadt. Lucas Wanckel malt mit Acryl auf Leinwand und sagt zu seinen Werken: Städte haben für mich sowohl nachts- als auch tagsüber eine besondere Atmosphäre, die mich vor allem aufgrund der Farben fasziniert und ich versuche diese in meinen Werken wiederzugeben. Dabei spielen Häuserfassaden, Fenster und Schatten für mich eine große Rolle . Die Werke von Paul Bischitzky zeigen in abstrakter Form seine Auseinandersetzung mit Themen rund um das menschliche Sein und Dasein. Dabei ist der Blick nach innen gerichtet.
