In 2024, Shanghai Rockbund Art Museum is proudly launching a new long-term project, the Semi-Permanent Occupy Initiative, which invites the most creative minds of our time to offer alternative definitions of museum spaces traditionally seen as marginal.

The 2025 Lingang Moment - Ring of Time Light and Shadow Fireworks Show will be held every Saturday from January 1, 2025 and on four holidays throughout the year (New Year's Day on January 1, Lantern Festival on February 12, May 1, and October 1). The Lost Pharaohs exhibition is a 45-minute immersive exploration experience. It will take visitors to visit the first of the Seven Wonders of the World - the Pyramid of Khufu. In addition to being able to walk in the 1:1 restored "Pyramid of Khufu" and get a close look at the internal structure and historical context of the pyramid, visitors can also explore areas that have never been open to the public, and even travel back 4,500 years to unveil the mysterious veil of ancient Egyptian civilization. The "Lost Pharaoh" is academically guided by the Harvard University Giza Archaeological Project Team to ensure that all details and descriptions in the project are in line with the research certification of archaeologists. The exhibition data is based on on-site holographic scans of the interior and surrounding environment of the pyramid, and is reconstructed and restored with 1:1 high precision on the virtual engine.

From the perspective of the creator, shrink the earth into an inch and travel through the mountains and seas. China's only exhibition that lists the entire "Classic of Mountains and Seas · Wu Zang Shan Jing" will give you a systematic understanding of the Classic of Mountains and Seas. Tens of thousands of sculptures of mythical beasts and ancestors of various tribes make it easy to read about the ancient world. Continuously iterating, the creator of Xiangwai will create a picture based on your imagination and description of the ideal character in the mountain and sea universe on the exhibition wall and in the Wuzang Mountain Classic on the exhibition stand. The "Dongliang-Liang Sicheng and Lin Huiyin Academic Document Exhibition" brings together nearly 400 precious exhibits, covering various document forms such as manuscripts, drawings, archives, certificates, images, recordings, etc., including precious originals and high-precision replicas, and comprehensively reviews the outstanding contributions of Liang Sicheng and Lin Huiyin in important fields such as architectural history, cultural heritage protection, urban planning, architectural design, and architectural education. At the same time, it also shows their vivid and interesting personal lives outside of academic research. It is not only a commemoration of Liang and Lin, but also an important review of the development of Chinese architecture. Since "Dongliang" was held at the Tsinghua University Art Museum in 2021, it has attracted widespread attention from all walks of life. Following the life footprints of Liang Sicheng and Lin Huiyin, "Dongliang" has started a national tour, from Beijing to Jiangmen, Shenyang, Taiyuan, and then to Shanghai. Each site has a deep connection with Liang and Lin.
