Bringing together comfortably chic venues with a cosmopolitan sensibility. A sophisticated no frills approach to singles events. We've done away with the whistles, name-tags and over the top party trimmings. Unparalleled service and personable hosts all in an environment - just your speed. A fresh alternative to typical events that seem more like a job fair than a relaxed way to connect.
Whether it be a romantic dinner, wine tasting, concert or festival - bar crawl or fitness class - maybe even a Mud Run! Do what you Relish with whom you Relish.
Speed Dating @ Alley Lounge - June 22nd 2025
Ages: 29-42 | 6PM
12223 W Washington Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90066
For more information visit us at: DoRelish.com
Or email us at: info@dorelish.com
http://www.dorelish.com
We think the best relationships are forged when we are comfortable, relaxed and free of pressure. Preferring instead to think of the evening as a casual night out where one can truly be themselves. We do not use traditional 'speed dating' offerings such as bells, whistles and name-tags. Instead we focus on creating an atmosphere conducive to meeting others; a great venue, a personable host and a staff to assist.
Upon registration, you'll be sent an email inviting you to login to your mobile ‘Smart-Card’. As the event begins, log-in to your scorecard and let the flirting begin. You'll be able to choose whom you wish to meet again, to what degree you like them and have until midnight to submit your final selections for matching. Once the clock strikes midnight - return to our platform to see your matches. You can also access your profile via mobile, tablet or PC. Our platform isn't an app so it requires absolutely no downloading and can be accessed directly from our website, anytime.
Should you have any questions - feel free to ask away. Take the time before the event starts to settle in - have a beverage if you would like and mingle should you wish. Chat up our Hosts for tips or simply to ask, which direction the bar is in! After being shown to your table, the ladies will remain seated for the duration of the event. The gents move from lovely lady to lovely lady every six to seven minutes. Your mobile scorecard gives you the ability to see all the participants attending your event, upload your picture, make your selections and be notified of your matches all from your phone.
Don't fret about figuring out if the person is the one or the perfect person for you. Consider it the date before the date. If you choose someone and they chose you - it's a match. You will be given each others first name and email address. The rest is up to you.

For those that prefer the same simplified experience in Matchmaking, we offer our 'Date-Nights' free of contracts and commitments. With packages ranging from $595 to $945. For more information;

Charlotte Lillie Balogh in Conversation with Sara Phoebe Miller | Annabelle's Book Club LA
Jun 24, 2025 (UTC-7)ENDED
City of Los Angeles
About Kill the Lax Bro
A fresh and darkly funny 90s murder mystery about one high school’s net of lies that begin to unravel when a star lacrosse player winds up dead.
The night before graduation, all of Hancock High celebrates at their school’s annual lock-in. But what starts out as a fun night turns horribly wrong when a body is found—and the victim is none other than Troy Richards, the school’s star lacrosse player.
Everyone is acting totally clueless. As for suspects? There’s Jennifer (the dream girl), Naomi (the geek), Sassi (the overachiever), and Tatum (the rebel). At a glance, it seems like they couldn’t be more unalike, except for the fact that they all hated Troy (the lax bro) . . . but who wanted him dead?
From debut author Charlotte Lillie Balogh comes a wickedly sharp take on high school stereotypes, including the boys we love and love to hate: lax bros.
About the Author
Charlotte Lillie Balogh is an author, a screenwriter, and a comic book writer born and raised outside Boston. She self-published her first book at sixteen years old and later graduated as a Remembrance Scholar from Syracuse University. CLB is a lifelong superhero fanatic, and she launched into the television and film industry by working at DC Entertainment on projects including
Wonder Woman 1984
and the CW’s
Stargirl
. When she’s not writing, CLB mentors young women through RowLA and WriteGirl, helping to create the next generation of real-life superheroes.

Charles Burnett's MY BROTHER'S WEDDING (`'83)– introduction by Maya S. Cade | Philosophical Research Society
Jun 27, 2025 (UTC-7)ENDED
City of Los Angeles
Unfinished and unreleased for nearly 25 years,
MY BROTHER’S WEDDING
(1983)
is a brilliant, underseen gem of American neorealism that stands as an incredible portrait of South Central LA and its characters' everyday hopes, dreams, and dilemmas. As part of YesterdayLA, the Philosophical Research Society’s monthlong exploration of Los Angeles history, 7th House Screenings is proud to present
Charles Burnett
’s fantastic and long unseen second feature film.
The follow up to his acclaimed 1978 debut
KILLER OF SHEEP
– one of the greatest Los Angeles films, which garnered praise (...though not distribution) for the director and established the UCLA-born
LA Rebellion
movement of Black filmmakers as a new, singular cinematic force – Burnett devoted many long months of shooting before sending a rough-cut of his sophomore outing to his producers. Ignoring his request to finish the editing of the film, the producers rushed it to a New York festival screening, where it received a mixed review from the New York Times. With distributors scared off,
My Brother's Wedding
was
tragically never released
. Film critic Armond White called this “a catastrophic blow to the development of American popular culture.”
Nearly 25 years later, Burnett was able to complete editing of the film, achieving his original vision
, and the result was a
tender and affecting tragicomic treasure
, ready to finally receive the attention and praise it always deserved. Now, following a beautiful restoration by the Pacific Film Archive,
My Brother's Wedding
is an eye-opening revelation—it is wise, funny, heartbreaking and timeless.
The film centers around Pierce Mundy, who works at his parents' South Central dry cleaners with no prospects for the future and his childhood buddies in prison or dead. With his best friend just getting out of jail and his brother busy planning a wedding to a snooty upper-middle-class black woman, Pierce navigates his conflicting obligations while trying to figure out what he really wants in life.
For this special presentation of this underscreened and underseen jewel of Los Angeles cinema, 7th House is proud to welcome
Maya S. Cade
, the creator and curator of Black Film Archive – and incoming president/owner of Milestone Films, the distribution company that made the film’s completion and release a reality – for an introduction to discuss Burnett and the film’s importance, troubled history, and legacy.
Dir. Charles Burnett, 1983, 81 mins, United States, English, Digital.
TICKETS: $12 (In Person Event Only)
Please email events@prs.org or phone 323-663-2167 with any questions.

About EnviroVoters
California Environmental Voters
is a nonprofit organization that exists at the crossroads of the environment and politics. Since 1972, we have a proven record of winning elections and passing environmental policies in Sacramento and DC.
We believe the climate crisis is here and that this moment requires transformative change.
California has the policy solutions to stop climate change but is lacking the political will to do it at the rate and scale that’s necessary.
EnviroVoters exists to build the political power to solve the climate crisis, advance justice, and create a roadmap for global action.
We organize voters, elect and train candidates, and hold lawmakers accountable for bold policy change.
It is only through the support of our private organizational and individual donors that EnviroVoters can execute this critical mission.
Your support will allow us to make progress towards our vision of resilient, healthy, thriving communities, and a democracy and economy that is just and sustainable for all.

Advanced Botox and Dermal Fillers (Level II) - Los Angeles, CA | Hyatt Regency Los Angeles International Airport
Jun 29, 2025 (UTC-7)ENDED
City of Los Angeles
Description
Advanced Aesthetics Training Program
Designed specifically for serious aesthetics professionals, including Physicians, Nurse Practitioners, Dentists, and other practitioners, this program is perfect for those looking to broaden their skill set with various injectable products. This advanced course goes beyond the basics, building on the foundational knowledge from the Level 1 Botulinum Toxin-A Training course.
This comprehensive training program covers the most commonly performed advanced techniques and new applications for Botulinum Toxin-A and Dermal Filler (HA and Non-HA) products. You will learn how to inject the mid-face and perform a non-surgical facelift, a highly requested procedure among patients. Empire Medical Training’s proprietary method for the non-surgical facelift, along with other advanced techniques, will be taught in this course.
Participants will master techniques for total facial shaping and sculpting using advanced combinations of Botulinum Toxin-A and various Dermal Fillers, often referred to as the "liquid facelift." You’ll also explore a variety of "off-label" uses for Dermal Fillers and Botulinum products for line and wrinkle reduction in various facial areas.
Dermal Fillers Training Course
Gain expertise in wrinkle treatments using common products and longer-acting Dermal Fillers. After mastering the basics, such as filling nasolabial folds, marionette lines, and performing lip augmentation, you will progress to learning how to restore volume in areas affected by aging. This course teaches practitioners to “artfully” perform techniques that yield dramatic yet natural results.
Advanced techniques for injecting Dermal Fillers in the upper, lateral zygomatic area will be covered to address deep nasolabial folds more effectively. Additionally, the course will cover advanced injection techniques for tear troughs (under-eye hollows) and other areas using HA products and other highly viscous fillers. These advanced skills will help you expand your practice and meet the increasing demands of your patients.
