Since the early 1980s, Hats Off Day has been a grassroots festival for the Burnaby Heights community to celebrate its best side. Today, the event has grown from a small street event into a full-day celebration, kicking off with a family fun sprint, followed by a lively street parade and a grand street festival. The 2026 Hats Off Day will feature the vibrant colors, energy, and exciting moments of a circus, themed "Under the Big Tent." There will be live music, traveling performers, a family fun sprint, a car show, and the ever-popular Hats Off Day parade.

The NKBA BC Chapter and Prairie Provinces are thrilled to announce Western Canada Design Excellence Awards (WCDEA) 2026! This year, we are transforming the event from a reception-style gathering to a formal sit-down gala, promising an evening of elegance and celebration. With over 300 esteemed guests in attendance, including top designers and influencers, this event will be an unforgettable experience. Join us in the pursuit of design greatness at WCDEA 2026! The gala will run from 5:30 PM to 11 PM, featuring a luxurious sit-down dinner and access to the Grand Villa Casino after the awards ceremony.
