Extremely satisfied! When I was booking, I hesitated a bit because the total price for a 7-night stay wasn't cheap. However, I decided to book it after seeing that it's close to the station, has spacious rooms, and the beds in the twin rooms are larger than those in other hotels. Upon arrival, I was so glad we chose this place; it was incredibly convenient.
Nagoya Station is directly accessible from the hotel. This made getting to and from the airport, traveling to other cities, visiting Legoland, and meeting for our day trip to Shirakawa-go all incredibly easy and saved us a lot of hassle.
There's a food street on floors 12-13 directly downstairs, where we enjoyed several meals. The lobby is on the 15th floor and features Japan's highest Starbucks. A shopping mall is also directly accessible downstairs, making shopping at Takashimaya very convenient.
For an extended stay, comfort is key. The rooms are spacious, offering city views. The shower is large, and the bath amenities are comprehensive. The complimentary capsule coffee machine and other in-room provisions were also quite nice.
Overall, it was a comfortable stay with incredibly convenient access. If budget isn't a concern, I highly recommend it for families traveling with children.

The lobby has a great artistic vibe. The hotel's location is superb, and nearby convenience stores are very handy. The only minor drawback is that it's a bit of a walk to the subway station, making it more suitable for families traveling by private car or chartered vehicle. On the bright side, the rooms are significantly more spacious than what you typically find in other Japanese hotels.

Let's start with the objective pros: The location is excellent, right above Nagoya Station in one of its twin towers, with Takashimaya downstairs and Kintetsu lines and numerous famous shops nearby. Dining, shopping, and transportation are all incredibly convenient.
However, my stay this time was very unpleasant. I booked three rooms on July 19th for three nights, from October 3rd to 6th. The reservation clearly stated no corner rooms and requested all three rooms to be on the same floor.
Upon checking in on October 3rd, after receiving the room cards, I found all three rooms were corner rooms, and they were on different floors. Corner rooms are non-standard room types; they are oddly shaped, smaller than the standard size for the same room type, and have strange layouts. The bed is immediately visible upon entering, with a wall right next to it, as shown in picture one.
Initially, they claimed they were fully booked. After some negotiation, they managed to switch one room to a standard room of the same type, but still on a different floor. Since we were rushing to a reserved restaurant that evening, we could only accept the one change for the time being. You can see what a normal room looks like in pictures 2, 3, 4, and 10.
We rushed out that evening, worried about being late for our restaurant reservation. On October 4th, I contacted Ctrip, and they said they had spoken with the hotel and could upgrade the room type, with Ctrip covering the price difference. So I went to the front desk again to discuss it. Front desk manager Yuki Misaki stated that they were fully booked and couldn't make any changes, only offering to switch rooms on the last night, which was pointless. He then called Tsuyoshi Sakurai, the head of accommodation for that night. While Misaki was relaying the situation to Sakurai, he was smiling and talking, and the two of them were casually chatting and laughing in low voices. Misaki then stated that either we switch rooms on the last night or there was nothing they could do. There was no sincerity, only arrogance. I told them I would file a complaint about such an attitude, and the two even smiled and said I was welcome to complain and that making a big deal out of it was fine. The attitude of these two leadership-level staff at a Marriott hotel front desk was shocking.
My dissatisfaction stems from:
1. During booking, I specified no corner rooms and requested them to be on the same floor, but all three ended up being corner rooms! And on different floors! I was hoping for the best but got the worst. If it were just one room, it might be acceptable, but all three being non-standard corner rooms makes me wonder if it was intentional discrimination. They initially claimed to be fully booked, but after negotiation, they could provide one standard room of the same type, which means their claim of being fully booked was deceitful.
2. Managers Misaki and Sakurai were dismissive and unhelpful when facing a customer, disregarding my concerns and refusing to address them. They even laughed and chatted casually in front of a customer, which was extremely disrespectful and rude. This is not the service attitude expected from a Marriott hotel front desk.
Based on our experience, if your room number is 26, 27, or 14, it's a small, oddly shaped corner room. If you mind, you can directly request a change.

The hotel is excellent. Though an older property, it's remarkably well-maintained. The airport bus drops you directly at the entrance, which is incredibly convenient. Downstairs, you'll find a 24-hour pharmacy, a convenience store, and a McDonald's. It's also just a 6-minute walk to the subway station, making transit very easy. Two popular chicken wing spots are a mere 2-minute walk behind the hotel and a 3-minute walk in front. The Chunichi Building is also nearby, where you can find Blue Cafe and Montbell, and take advantage of tax-free shopping. Legoland is directly accessible by subway, and arranging a chartered car to Shirakawa-go and Hida Takayama is hassle-free with direct hotel pick-up and drop-off. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and I will definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Nagoya!
最Hotellocation Just feel minutes work from the Station. The room is massive and had a balcony as well. Clean and tidy staff are very friendly and helpful and it is value for money.

The hotel boasts an excellent location. After exiting Sakae subway station, follow the signs for Exits 13-14. Right next to these exits, you'll find an underground mall entrance; simply go inside, turn right, and walk straight to access a direct elevator to the hotel. There are also plenty of shopping malls in the vicinity. Furthermore, the hotel's ambiance is fantastic, and rooms offer views of Nagoya Tower. Child-friendly amenities are provided for younger guests.
What an unexpected gem of a hotel! Stepping out of the subway station, I initially thought I had landed in the middle of nowhere. But as I walked towards the hotel, everything opened up beautifully! It's a lovely garden-style hotel – quiet, clean, spacious, and immaculately kept. They have a natural hot spring that was incredibly relaxing. Guests get free access to the adjacent amusement park; a standalone adult ticket costs 1200 JPY. Strolling around the park was very pleasant.

## TIAD, Autograph Collection, Nagoya: Where Modern Luxury Meets Impeccable Service
As part of Marriott's Autograph Collection, TIAD, Autograph Collection, Nagoya, left a lasting impression on my trip with its stylish design, outstanding service, and prime location. Opened in 2023, this hotel perfectly embodies its brand philosophy, 'Tomorrow is Another Day.' From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I could feel its dedication to creating a relaxing and enjoyable stay for guests. Here's a detailed review of my stay from various aspects.
## Prime Location and Convenient Transportation
TIAD, Autograph Collection, is ideally situated in the heart of Nagoya's bustling **Sakae shopping district**. Located at 5-15-19 Sakae, Naka-ku, Nagoya, Aichi, this prime spot scored a remarkable 9.4 out of 10 and serves as an ideal base for exploring Nagoya. The hotel entrance is just a 20-meter walk from Subway Exit 1, making transportation incredibly convenient. However, it's worth noting that most Nagoya subway exits lack elevators, so guests with large luggage should be prepared.
The hotel's surroundings offer a surprisingly rich array of commercial facilities. **PRACO department store** and **Don Quijote discount store** are just steps away, and luxury brand boutiques like LV and Prada are within a few minutes' walk. Matsuzakaya Department Store is just across Hisaya-odori Park, and the entire Sakae district is only one subway stop away, catering to all kinds of shopping needs. Food enthusiasts will also appreciate the area, with a famous Ichiran Ramen branch within walking distance. There are also numerous restaurants and convenience stores nearby, and the nightlife is vibrant. Even after 10 PM, you can see young people gathering and street dancing, revealing a lesser-known lively side of Nagoya.
## Modern, Stylish Design and Comfortable Guest Rooms
The hotel's design beautifully blends **modern style with a touch of understated luxury**. Its overall aesthetic bears some resemblance to EDITION hotels, particularly in its lighting design and selection of hard finishes. The lobby, located on the fifth floor, is adorned with extensive stonework. It looks particularly stunning at night when lit up, resembling 'a luminous pearl suspended in mid-air.' The terrace outside the sixth-floor Executive Lounge features exquisite moon-themed lighting and offers a panoramic view of Nagoya's iconic TV Tower, making it a popular spot for guests to take photos.
As a Titanium Elite member, I successfully used a Marriott Suite Night Award to upgrade to a **Junior Suite**. Spanning approximately 40-50 square meters, it's remarkably spacious for a Japanese hotel. The room's design thoughtfully balances functionality and aesthetics. Each bedside table is equipped with a smart control tablet. These tablets allow one-touch control of room lighting, appliance switches, and temperature, and you can even activate the 'Do Not Disturb' mode from bed. It's incredibly high-tech. One tablet can also function as a TV, supporting external displays. The new, large TV features a one-touch Netflix connection, which allowed me to binge-watch an entire series during my stay.
Simple & Comfortable ⭐️
the place lives up to its name for it provided comfort after a long day, just before vacation ends. I made a last minute booking and despite the mishaps, they accommodated us and for that we are very grateful. the staff is very friendly and understanding. They understand and speak English. Comfort Hotel is just across the Chubu Centrair International and it provides a means to get to the airport easily without having to spend on taxi fares. Breakfast was also good and kept us nourished until our flight. Behind the hotel, you can appreciate the sound of air and water & it was quite relaxing despite it being cold.
PS. I got the best night’s sleep on their bed.

Amazing hotel with great facilities. Room is adequate with a fantastic city view. We stayed for two nights and it was worth it. Check in process was smooth and super easy. I like their personalized complimentary water in a can. Wish they can give more freebies. Haha! Breakfast was amazing! Japan foods is always the best. Arigato🙏

Mmxzyuyu119This was my second stay here. The room isn't huge, but it has a great view, and the bathroom is spacious with both a tub and a shower. The breakfast selection isn't extensive, but it's good that all three Nagoya specialties are available. This time, I specifically chose the executive lounge. In the afternoon, there were desserts, and in the evening, cheese, cold cuts, and fruit. All the alcoholic drinks were self-pour; there were no freshly mixed cocktails.

GGuest UserThe location isn't ideal. It's a 20-minute walk to both the Sakae shopping district and Nagoya Station. While a 1000 yen taxi ride isn't expensive on its own, it quickly adds up if you need to take it multiple times a day.
My previous impressions of meticulous Japanese room cleaning were completely shattered on this trip. On my first day, I found a significant clump of hair on the bathroom floor after washing my hair. To my surprise, it was still there when I returned on the second day, and it wasn't removed until the third day.
With three people staying, the room felt even more cramped. There wasn't even a stool provided. I eventually had to ask the front desk for one, just so we had a place to sit.
The sofa bed, which was essentially a converted sofa, was only long enough for a child, despite the fact that I had clearly booked for three adults. My husband's feet stuck out significantly when he slept on it.
