The hotel's location is excellent, right in front of the Citizen's Plaza tram stop, making it very convenient to get to from Kobe Airport. You can also take the hotel's shuttle bus from downtown Kobe, which runs every 20 minutes and departs from Gate 8 on the first floor of MINT. The room is spacious and even has a small balcony. There are parks, IKEA, and supermarkets nearby, and it's not far from the ocean.
Almost a perfect stay. First off, having a 12 PM checkout in Japan is already a huge plus. We arrived around 8 PM the night before, and the front desk staff were still in great spirits. The room was quite spacious for Japanese standards, and the view from the window was absolutely stunning, with the night view being even more captivating than during the day.
The only slight downside was the breakfast; for 3800 JPY per person, the selection wasn't very extensive, though the taste was decent enough.
This is my second time staying at this hotel. The room isn't too small and even has a small sofa and dining table, which is perfect for enjoying some tea and snacks in the evening. The hotel's location is excellent, just a 3-minute walk to Sannomiya Station, 5 minutes to Daimaru Department Store, and 15 minutes to Kitano Ijinkan. There's also a 24-hour Don Quijote right across the street, making shopping incredibly convenient. The lobby offers free coffee and ice cream every night. I've already recommended this place to my friends who are visiting Kobe during the National Day holiday! 👌
The room was spacious and comfortable, providing a serene atmosphere for relaxation. The onsen facilities, along with the provided Japanese bath suits and slippers, added a delightful touch to the experience.
The breakfast buffet featured a variety of healthy Japanese options, which I found both satisfying and nourishing. Additionally, the view of Kobe Tower from my room was a charming highlight.
The hotel's design reflects a refined minimalistic luxury, creating an elegant and calming environment. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for anyone seeking a blend of comfort and traditional Japanese hospitality.
Hotel is perfect for family. Kids can experience traditional Japanese living style. Hotel 2nd floor has new opened buffet restaurant with reasonable price 3rd floor has hot spring. Hotel upgrade me to a bigger room and my son like the place we extended our stay for 1 more night. Will book again in the future
Convenient for a business trip in Kobe. Very close to a main train station. There is a swimming pool available to hotel guests, but unfortunately, the information pertaining to the use of the pool was absent, so I did not bring a swim suit and was very disappointed. The information for this hotel should be updated to clarify what the facilities are and what the conditions are (e.g. obligatory swim cap, use of room towels etc). Guests from overseas will be confused and disappointed, as I was.
The rooms are spacious and well-designed. The ocean-view rooms face the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge, offering a stunning view. The Dancong experience was impeccable.
However, I must say that the hotel is incredibly far from the subway station, and there's nothing around it. If you're someone with limited physical activity like me, I highly recommend this place. Even a late-night trip to the convenience store feels like a long hike.
The room was quite spacious, and the view from the window was absolutely stunning. There's a direct bus from Kobe Airport, but you have to take an escalator and walk through a long corridor to reach the hotel. It's also super convenient for getting to Sannomiya. Kitano Ijinkan is just a 10-15 minute walk away, and there's also the Hyakusoen Park nearby, where you can take a cable car up the mountain – you can even see the cable car from your hotel room. The hotel service was quite good. For breakfast, you have a choice between Japanese and Western. We opted for the Japanese set meal, but if you have a big appetite, it might not be enough, though it looked great for photos. Next time, I'll choose the Western buffet for more variety. Restaurants in the area close very early in the evening; most were refusing new customers by around 8:30 PM. However, there's a fantastic supermarket near the JR station with a great selection, perfect for picking up souvenirs. The only downside is that the hotel's cleanliness needs improvement; the headboard was covered in dust, which is the first time I've encountered something like that in a hotel in Japan.
I arrived at Kansai Airport at 7pm and stayed there for a night before heading to Arima Onsen. The hotel location, sauna facilities, and breakfast were all good, but there was some water on the floor of the sauna facility, so it didn't look sanitary, and there were no yukatas provided in the room, so I wore regular clothes. That didn't mean I was uncomfortable, but seeing other guests wearing the yukatas provided in the room and going to the hot springs made me feel discriminated against for booking through Trip.com. If that's the case, then I shouldn't have booked through a travel site. I don't think I'll stay here again.
First off, this location is a bit out of the way, if you intend to stay close to the downtown...you have to take the ”Portliner” a few stops.
No issue for me, but did not realize this when I booked.
I chose it because of the onsen / sauna, and I was very satisfied: this was the best sauna / cold tub I had in Japan (so far).
Was hotter (and colder) than anything else. The actual hot-tub was good too, but I focus on sauna > cold tub cycles more than anything.
Rooms are new and look good, if not a bit small. As expected.
Stay for a night if you are on the fence...use the onsen...have a coffee-milk afterwards. You'll feel great.
Rooftoop bar / restaurant was nice as well and very friendly staff!

GGuest UserAn excellent choice for visiting Awaji Island. The rooms are spacious with great views. The hotel's buffet offers a wide selection and is very reasonably priced. What impressed me most was the incredibly friendly and welcoming staff, who were genuinely accommodating and went out of their way to assist. I will definitely stay there again.

GGuest UserWe stayed in room 621. We couldn't sleep at night because of the noise of the water pump in the room. It was noisy every 1-2 hours and every 20-30 minutes. It's a pity to have such expensive room rate and such facilities. Other things like dinner was first-class, the waterfall in front of the French window in the living room was also a highlight, and the public soup was also good, especially the Sona.
