This is a 4-star hotel, very close to Kyoto Station, and they offer a free shuttle bus to and from the station. The shuttle picks up on the left side when you exit the *Karasuma Central Exit* (条口) of Kyoto Station. There isn't much to explore around the hotel itself, and very few restaurants. If you plan on taking the train or eating out, it's best to head to Kyoto Station. Kyoto Station is large and beautiful, a tourist attraction in itself, and even has a big Isetan department store! The breakfast restaurant on the 14th floor is a revolving restaurant with panoramic views of Kyoto. However, the Western set breakfast is quite mediocre. The breakfast restaurant on the first floor offers both Japanese and Western options, but the value for money isn't great. In terms of transportation, besides taking the train from Kyoto Station, you can also catch a bus nearby. It's a bit far from the livelier areas of Sanjo and Shijo, making it suitable for guests who prefer a quiet stay and want to be close to Kyoto Station.

I was extremely satisfied with my stay, and the service was excellent. While there was some kind of pump or utility hub just outside the window, making it too noisy to open for fresh air, the floor-to-ceiling windows offered a beautiful view. Moreover, the room became perfectly quiet once the windows were closed. The room itself was very spacious, and I particularly appreciated the design of the large mirror in the vanity area.

The location is super convenient, less than a 5-minute walk from Nippori Station. The room was clean and practical, though a bit small. Self-service laundry requires coins or a card. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It's a great hotel, highly recommended for those who prioritize convenient transportation. There are also plenty of good restaurants and convenience stores nearby for dining and shopping.

The lobby bar on the hotel's ground floor is even cozier than a cafe; I stayed for five days and started every day of my trip with a coffee there. The hotel's facilities and service are impeccable. This will be my top choice for my next trip to Kyoto.

The hotel is quite a long walk from Kyoto Station; it took us about 20+ minutes on foot to get there. You could take the bus, but it doesn't really save much time. There's a good ramen shop right next to the hotel that even gave our child a toy. The room isn't huge, but there's enough space for luggage. The lobby downstairs offers free coffee, which I enjoyed every morning.

The biggest advantage of Hotel Gajoen Tokyo is definitely its location. Beyond its prime spot in the city center, there's a direct walkway from the hotel's third floor straight to Takashimaya. You can walk along the green passage into the mall, turn a corner, and be at Din Tai Fung – it's incredibly convenient. This stay, I specifically booked a corner room to experience the lounge. The room was spacious, and the bathroom had a great four-piece layout. The large windows let in plenty of light, and catching a glimpse of the beautiful Higashiyama scenery in the distance was a pleasant surprise. The lounge is also on the third floor, so after browsing Takashimaya, it was lovely to just tap my card, go in, and relax with a drink. The breakfast selection wasn't huge, but most items were high quality. I ate there for three days and didn't get bored. The ham, salmon, and homemade yogurt sauce were all excellent, and the latte was delicious too. Furthermore, the cleanliness of this popular hotel exceeded my expectations. Daily housekeeping was impeccable, and they didn't compromise on standards under the guise of being eco-friendly, which I really appreciated. Huge thanks to the staff.

The location is great, nestled between Hankyu Shijo-Omiya and Karasuma, making it easy to walk to both. This is super convenient for getting between Osaka Umeda and Kyoto Kawaramachi. Plus, there's a Shijo-Horikawa bus stop right downstairs that goes to Kyoto Station. Overall, it's very convenient, and the facilities are complete, including a thoughtful luggage storage service! Excellent value for money.

This hotel is super close to Kyoto Station, which makes getting around a breeze. Plus, there's a 7-Eleven right downstairs. For Japan, the room is quite spacious – we could easily open up two 24-inch suitcases. The separate wet and dry areas in the bathroom are a huge plus. Overall, it was a great stay and definitely good value for money. The only downside is that because it's so close to the station, the soundproofing isn't amazing, and you can hear train noise in the mornings.

I stayed at MIMARU Kyoto Kawaramachi Gojo with my friends and family (6 people total), and it was a great choice for a group stay. The hotel is conveniently located near several public transportation options, though you may need to walk a little, which wasn’t a problem for us. There are grocery stores nearby, and it’s close to Gion and many famous tourist spots. The room was spacious, very clean, and well-equipped with plenty of facilities. We were even able to fully open our 29-inch suitcases for everyone at the same time, and there was still plenty of space to move around. It offers excellent value for money, especially for larger groups. I would definitely choose the MIMARU brand again for my next trip!

The only downside was having to queue for breakfast a few times, which I'd never experienced before. The location is very convenient, close to the train station.
