This hotel is quite new with excellent facilities. The location is a bit hard to judge because I took a wrong turn coming from the airport. It's about a 10-minute walk from the hotel to Shinsaibashi for shopping. The positive review is for the male staff member who spoke Chinese. The female staff member who checked me in was very unfriendly and the process was complicated. The male staff member resolved the issue later, and his attitude was exceptionally good. Although I still don't understand what was wrong with the previous room, he eventually moved me to a family room, and I was able to check in smoothly. Some luggage can be left at the front desk, while others are required to be stored on the first floor in self-locking lockers. I'm not quite sure why there's a difference. The room facilities are excellent and very new. The breakfast is delicious, just like at other Tokyu Stay hotels. You pick up your toiletries yourself, and there's complimentary coffee.

This was by far the most comfortable hotel room we stayed in throughout Japan. It was incredibly spacious, easily fitting four open suitcases. The location is fantastic, right in the heart of the Umeda shopping district, with endless malls to explore. As a new hotel, the decor is beautiful. It's a shame they don't have their own large public bath, though there's a paid one downstairs. While the train station isn't far, navigating Umeda's complex layout meant a tiring 10-minute walk back to the hotel every day after all our exploring. PS: The smoking room was a bit mediocre. In June 2026, a corner twin room was roughly 1,000 JPY per night.

I chose the Royal Park Hotel at Osaka Kitahama Station again this time. The room was spacious and clean. You can find amenities like shower caps, toothbrushes, razors, face masks, and loofahs at the self-service machine next to the check-in counter on the 2nd floor. The hotel is conveniently located within 100 meters of the Subway K Line, Hankyu KH Line, and Keihan Main Line HK. The Subway M Line is also within 700 meters. There are banks and office buildings nearby, and a 7-Eleven on the ground floor. It's very quiet at night, and during lunchtime, you can see many office workers buying lunch at 7-Eleven.

The hotel enjoys an excellent location, conveniently situated close to the main shopping street and many of the city’s key attractions, making it ideal for both leisure and business travelers. Public transportation is very accessible, with the metro station just a short walk away. From there, it takes only two stops to reach the JR line that connects directly to the Airport Express, which is extremely convenient for arrivals and departures. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and always ready to assist, creating a pleasant and comfortable atmosphere throughout the stay. The breakfast offers a good variety of options and provides a satisfying start to the day. The hotel amenities are well-maintained and thoughtfully provided, ensuring guests have everything they need. The room itself was clean, well-kept, and comfortable. One of the highlights was the excellent shower facility, which was modern, spacious, and very enjoyable to use after a long day of exploring. Overall, the hotel delivers a high standard of comfort and convenience, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Completely exceeded my expectations! The lobby decor is grand yet cozy 🏡, and the bellhop was super enthusiastic about helping with luggage 🧳. The room's soundproofing was so good I couldn't hear any noise 🤫, and waking up to the morning sun was incredibly refreshing 🌞. Checkout was super fast, no long waits ⌛. Highly recommended!

Had an enjoyable stay here at Mercure! Amenities were complete, housekeeping & receptionists were friendly and able to converse in English which made our stay more pleasant. Location of the hotel is sooo convenient. - a 10-min walk from Shinsaibashi/Namba station - has family mart and donki nearby - taxi fare from the hotel to Nankai Namba Station (for the airport) was 1,400 won - all you have to do is cross the main road and you’ll already arrive at Shinsaibashi shopping street! My luggage was also damaged during my flight to Osaka, so the staff politely helped to handle the disposal of my luggage for free. The only thing that slightly bothered me was the superrrr dark lighting in the room. There were times I had to use my phone’s flashlight to find things but it was still bearable for me. Overall, thank you, Mercure :)

I spent a long time choosing a hotel in Osaka and finally settled on this one. The location is excellent. It's right by Namba Takashimaya after getting off the train, and you only need to take one subway stop to Shinsaibashi, then a few minutes walk to reach the hotel. Transportation is very convenient. The room was extremely clean and tidy. While Japanese rooms tend to be a bit small, it was still very comfortable overall. The attention to detail was great and thoughtful; they even provided shopping bags, charging cables, and an air purifier in the drawer. The breakfast was a bit limited, so I only ate it once and skipped it afterward. Being right outside Shinsaibashi, Dotonbori, and Namba was incredibly convenient. Walking around Shinsaibashi, you'll find all the major luxury brand stores, making shopping and sightseeing extremely easy. I'll definitely book this hotel again next time. Highly recommended! They also offer free luggage storage upon departure, and extending your room for an hour at 1000 yen is a great deal.

The room is small but can open two suitcases. The public bath and spa are excellent. Close to JR station and donki. But the staff and hotel policy are terrible and I could only rate it woth adverse comment. First, at checkin the staff did not tell us the spa world could be used even after checkout, so we had no idea we could still stay to play the spa world the next day until we learnt it from other residents in the hotel. If we have learnt it earlier at checkin we might adjust our travelling plan as we checkin late at night from landing. Second, upon checkout we asked for luggage storage service, which is very basic services of hotel, but the staff said if we were leaving and not staying for the spa, they would not keep our luggage. I am not meaning leaving Japan but I just go out from breakfast or some shopping. I have visited Japan multiple times and stayed in many hotels or residence, and this is the first one not offering luggage storage service. Please do not call this a hotel if you refuse to offer luggage storage service. Third, the hotel prohibited any slipper and every one had to walk back to rooms in bare feet after public bath, this sounds dirty while the staff was wearing slipper. Hotel could provide slippers and require resident to wear hotel slippers only. Bad experience and poor service.

There are so many facilities (see pictures for details), it was a great stay. The only downside is that the subway is a bit far away, so you have to time your bus. The hotel lobby is huge, and it is equipped with convenient wifi and charging ports that you can't use.

I saw some really negative reviews after I booked, so I was quite worried before checking in. However, my actual experience far exceeded my expectations. The hotel is indeed a bit old, and the facilities show signs of wear and tear, but the cleanliness and service were excellent. The breakfast had a good variety, pretty much catering to all needs. What truly makes this hotel stand out is its location. Currently, the Umeda airport bus stop is right downstairs, and the departure point is Sanbangai, about a 5-minute walk – incredibly convenient. If you exit the hotel on the second-floor sky bridge and turn left, you can reach Osaka Station, and walking through Osaka Station will lead you to Daimaru and Hanshin department stores. Yodobashi Camera is right downstairs. If you exit the hotel on the first floor and turn right, ten meters away is LINKS, which has a decent-sized supermarket in the basement – perfect for buying bento boxes with a much wider selection than FamilyMart. There are also signs from the second-floor sky bridge directing you to Umeda Station. All in all, my stay was a very good experience.
