The experience during check in was bad. Being asked to go to the number counter. Long queue to get number, but then the staff at the number counter said no need numbers. He asked me to go to other counter and look for a staff for assistance. Have to queue again. Only one check in counter with assistance from a staff. When my turn came, the computer 'hang'. Have to wait for the staff to check me in. Then I have to go to another self check in counter to pay rm3 using credit card. The camera at the counter couldn't be used to scan QR code. Really hustle. Parking is not free. Hotel guests need to pay parking using TouchNgo card. The hotel room was okay. Small room but comfortable enough for one night stay.

everytime i ada job kat cameron, i will booked copthorne because 1st if all love their staff service... they love to greeting and help guest.. they have excellent service i would say.. they allowing me to early check in (if room are ready) .. usually the room are ready because im always come on weekdays for work purposes.. 😄 room dining quite cheap for me.. it just rm24 for one plate kuetiau goreng.. sedap pulak tu. big portion, can eat for 2 person! sejuk tu dah pasti.. always got kabus² everytime i datang sini. love betul! cuma sedikit penambahbaikan utk masa akan dtg, i hope copthorne will checking up for some furniture or bulbs yg da tak function.. i always dpt balcony yg takde lampu.. huhu.. this time i dapat room yg pintu dia agak ketat utk buka and tutup.. yg lain2 okay.. katil, bantal, semua selesa..

Also staff should improve in how they refill the food. The food is finish at 9am and guest need to queue for refill which take up to 30 min per food, otherwise the refilled food will be gone in 5 min cause they just refill 1 small plate (dessert plate).

I booked a 2 night stay at Awana Resort Hotel. Price was incredible cheap compare to staying on the top part of Genting Highland. Staying in Awana Resort hotel need to either take a taxi (about 20mins) to Genting Highland or a cable car. There is also free shuttle to Premium outlet. This is hotel cleanliness is acceptable. Upon request of additional towel and bedroom slipper, staff will deliver to your doorstep promptly without additional charges.

location superb, walking distance to shops and eateries (TC attractions at night are so happening, MCD, Famima, KFC, 7E are walking distance and I went to Loteng specifically which the food are superb and we can see the sea right from the Loteng dining area). I didnt take the breakfast package because I want to try local Kuantan food and I went to Roti Bakar Beserah nearby (ard 15 mins driving) and unfortunately Kassim Baba Roti Tempayan Cheese are closed till 06 Apr. Overall, this hotel is good but I was expecting for complimentary drinks and snacks for a 5 star rating hotel bit nope, there isn't. just provided with 3 mineral water bottles. Hyatt, u can do better on this. Regardless, we enjoyed our stay here!

The stay was generally good, with a comfortable room and decent amenities. However, the pillowcase was old and had started to pill, creating small fabric balls that made it feel rough and unpleasant and an unpleasant smell, which was disappointing. Other than that, everything else was fine. Would consider staying again if housekeeping improves.

The good: The room was overall clean and the toilet was clean too. The water pressure in the shower is decently strong. Fresh sheets and pillow cases were provided, and the pillows did not stink like in many other hotels. The location is great (an 8-minute slow drive from First World Hotel), the check-in staff was friendly and so nice, and the wi-fi was fast. There's free parking (You will have to take the lift from the parking building to the 7th floor, then walk over to the tower you're living in, then take the lift in that tower to the floor you're staying in). Also, they provide complimentary bedroom slippers, shower gel/shampoo, soap, toothbrush/paste, vanity kit and razor. They have convenience stores and a few restaurants in the complex, so you won't go hungry and you can always buy your necessities just a few steps from your room. The bad: The toilet door was creaking terribly, waking up your roommates when you go to the toilet in the middle of the night. The floor was very clean but also rather slippery from the floor detergent used. The water leaks out from the shower cubicle when bathing, so put your floor mat further away from the door when bathing so it doesn't get wet (same distance as the toilet bowl). The hot water does not run continuously - if you have a fantastic super hot shower for 15 to 20 minutes, the water will become cool and you'll have to wait another 20 minutes before the hot water tank heats up and you can have another fantastic super hot shower. And the pump that supplies water to the tap in the room sink makes a horribly loud sound whenever you switch it on and off. Conclusion: I paid less than RM100 to stay in this room so I think it's definitely value for money. Love the location - it's higher than the Genting theme park area, cold and misty. Will come back again next time.

There is 2 blocks of the hotel and it’s mixed with the residents and it was a bit confusing to find the room and parking area. Amazing hotel property, very detailed, almost all properties in my room are amazing, there is a Christmas tree inside my room, free wine, high quality bed sets, modern furniture , wine glasses, cutlery are all high quality, also bathroom properties from the white company. The hotel staff is very helpful, when my son was sick, the hotel staff helped find a doctor, accompanied us to the doctor, appreciated for this. The location is perfect inside the mall, next door to mall and theme park. room cleanliness: perfect. Breakfast : not buffet breakfast. food is not varied, little protein. Absolutely I will back stay there again if I come again 🫶🏻

Love the king sized bed and all the big pillows. Room was big enough and comes with a sofa bed. Toilet also very clean and comes with bottled shower gels, shampoo and conditioner. Look very organised and complete. Food during breakfast was also very nice, served by well-mannered waiters and chefs. Plenty of delicious food to choose from. I particularly like the vege fritters they cooked, brings back old memories when i was little, living in kampung with my late mom. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience staying there and would definitely come back whenever I'm Kuantan.

I called one day earlier to request early checkup. It was entertained however due to system breakdown still required to wait almost one hour in the car. To their credit they still did their best. According to the Trip package I was supposed get welcome drink but it was not there.  The nasi lemak rendang so good but the breakfast spread so limited. The renovation thingy quite a disturbance, need to walk all the way to access beach, no Deli yet, lobby not ready too. However they already informed that in advance so it was acceptable.  During housekeeping, our room key that was used to power up the room was taken, but the concierge sent a new one once the complaint lodged. They also restock only one bottle of mineral water instead of two, but the housekeeper comply with our request for another without much hassle.  I did not have enough time to try their fitness centre but one visit showed it was wide and adequate. I hope in the future it will be for 24 hours like other hotel and accessible with keycard.  All in all I will give 4 stars. Need to improve on breakfast spread. Special shoutout for Mr Kamarul our concierge/porter for excellent service. Will come again later.

Cleanliness: I would rate the cleanliness a 2 due to the poor maintenance and housekeeping. None of the electrical outlets were functioning properly, and there was a noticeable electrical sound. For those traveling with children, please be extra cautious. During our sightseeing trip from 1 pm to 10 pm, we returned to find the towels we had used earlier that morning, wet and folded on the table instead of being replaced with fresh ones. Service: I would rate the Front Office Staff at 4, especially Mr. Aftar, Mr. Azlan, and Mr. Rahmat, who were very helpful. However, I had a negative experience with Ms. Y (name withheld), who was unhelpful and lacked empathy. We were planning to shorten our stay from 3 days/2 nights to 2 days/1 night due to heavy rainfall, flooding in some areas, and car issues. We asked her at the front desk, after consulting Trip.Com, if we could shorten our stay. Instead of showing understanding, she kept saying she couldn't assist and that the Manager on Duty was unavailable. She directed us to deal with Trip.Com the following day, which we understood. However, when I asked if, in case Trip.Com approved our request, we could check out later (around 1 or 2 pm), she refused. She claimed they couldn’t offer a late check-out as the hotel was fully booked. I was shocked, as I was giving up an extra night and yet wasn’t granted even a late check-out at 12:30 pm, and yet she was mentioned it will be chargeable. To my surprise, I later checked online and saw plenty of rooms available and an empty pool. This was disappointing. Just imagine, i am planning to give away my extra night and when i wasnt able to get a slightly late check out due to fully booked ? what ridiculous is this ? IF, we requested late check out on the actual check out date, i totally understand . But this is another way round and she left me speechless. On a positive note, Mr. Aftar, Mr. Azlan, and Mr. Rahmat were understanding and helpful. Despite not asking for much, their suggestions, empathy, and sincerity made a significant difference in our stay. It was because of them that we decided to continue our stay and cancel our initial plans. A big thank you to them for their kindness and helpfulness, always checking in to see if we needed assistance and offering thoughtful suggestions. Overall Experience: Our overall stay was very good and enjoyable. The kids loved the pool and the sightseeing views. The location is fantastic, with a breathtaking view of the sea, providing a truly relaxing experience. Special thanks also to the IRD staff at the restaurant for kindly helping us store our frozen food.
