"I didn't have high expectations for this B&B, but the reviews were good, so I decided to give it a try. As soon as I got out of the car and entered the main gate, I felt that the outdoor lounge area was quite comfortable. The front desk added me on WeChat and told me to send messages directly in the group if I had any issues. Upon entering the room, I was a little surprised to see the smart appliances inside. A few minutes later, I received tips for traveling in Beihai and introductions to tourist attractions and local delicacies via WeChat. This was the first time I'd encountered such service during my travels, and it was a pleasant surprise. The bedding was very new, the TV was large, and the environment was clean. Since I wasn't feeling well and didn't want to eat greasy food outside, there's a restaurant there where a 'Sichuan tough guy' chef can cook dishes according to your requests. The final surprise was breakfast (photos attached). Who would have thought that a big Sichuan man could prepare such an exquisite breakfast set? It's so charming! Overall, I'm extremely satisfied and it exceeded my expectations. Hope they continue to maintain the quality! 👍"

"This guesthouse feels like an agile and somewhat mysterious spirit nestled in the mountains. We actually thought we had booked the wrong place on our way here. It's located in a very unassuming village, making it hard to believe such a guesthouse exists in this kind of remote area. Initially, I didn't have high expectations for how good it would be, but after seeing the surrounding environment, I truly felt it offered excellent value for money. The view from the room's window is absolutely beautiful. What surprised me the most was that the guesthouse even has a pub downstairs, and two adorable little cats lounging around lazily. As a photography enthusiast, I absolutely loved this place. Not only were the guest rooms spotlessly clean, but the public facilities on the first floor were also well-equipped. The most important highlight, however, was the incredibly warm and welcoming host. They even treated us to some sweet soup and asked if we wanted any iced drinks because of the hot weather. This is exactly why I love staying in guesthouses – surprising and comfortable. I highly recommend this guesthouse!"

"This hotel is excellent! The location is super easy to find and very close to the city center. At night, we strolled along the Two Rivers and Four Lakes and even saw the Sun and Moon Pagodas, all within walking distance, less than 1km away. The famous Chunji Roast Goose restaurant is also less than 1km from here, everything is accessible on foot. You can also rent electric scooters, so transportation is incredibly convenient. The common areas of the hotel are decorated very warmly and are very comfortable to sit in during the evening. They even offer free traditional ethnic clothing and headwear for guests to borrow, which is perfect for taking photos. The manager, a lovely lady, has decorated the place immaculately and is always smiling. She even gave us tips on how to explore Guilin. The room itself is exactly like the pictures, very spacious and clean, with a cozy, homey feel. After a day out, it's really comfortable to come back and relax. The hot water is consistent and heats up quickly. If you spend some time in the hotel's common area, you might even spot a cat! The bed is very comfortable."

"Wow!!! I finally stayed in a picturesque mountain retreat! The bed was incredibly comfortable, the best night's sleep of my 5-day trip to Guangxi. The guesthouse is nestled in the mountains; opening the automatic curtains reveals rolling green hills, a breathtaking view of greenery. You can even watch the sunset from the room in the evening. Away from the city hustle and bustle, I felt completely at peace. The room design was also incredibly stylish—clean, comfortable, and with thoughtful details. A special shout-out to the owner! He's genuinely kind and approachable, with just the right amount of politeness, never overly intrusive. He even thoughtfully shared nearby travel routes and responded promptly to any requests. If you're looking for a quiet, scenic place to unwind, I highly recommend it. I'll definitely come back again. It was truly an amazing experience!"

"The room is exactly as good as it looks in the photos. Opening the automatic curtains in the morning to reveal the breathtaking panoramic view of the limestone hills is an unforgettable experience and something everyone should have on their bucket list. The location is excellent. Not only does it offer spectacular views, but it is also more convenient than we expected. A small private ferry operates throughout the day, taking guests across the river to the city. Alternatively, you can enjoy a scenic 30-minute walk across the bridge, which offers incredible panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. DiDi (China's Uber) is also readily available and costs only around 20 yuan to reach the city center. The area around the hotel is residential and fairly simple. It may not be what you expect at first, but it has its own authentic charm. The hotel does not have a restaurant or offer meals, but the room is equipped with a small refrigerator (including a freezer compartment) and an electric kettle, making it easy to prepare simple breakfasts or snacks. The room is not brand new and could benefit from some minor renovations, particularly around the bathtub. On some nights, condensation forms on the outside of the large windows, temporarily blocking the view, although this was never an issue during the day. The staff were very accommodating and even brought a small table and two chairs onto our balcony, making it the perfect place to enjoy a late-night drink while taking in the view. Overall, you come here for the incredible panoramic scenery, and the hotel absolutely delivers."

I was quite disappointed when I first arrived at Chengyang Eight Villages. It was a Friday, and I was told there was no 'Baijia Banquet' (Hundred Family Feast). Plus, besides us, there were no other tourists in the scenic area. I thought this trip would be incredibly boring and dull. Coming with a group of friends, I wasn't sure what we could even do, and I didn't want to spend more money on tickets for a bonfire party. The owner of the guesthouse, Mr. Yang, recommended we book a farmhouse bonfire party. We could eat at a Dong family's home with local performances and toasts, costing about 100-200 yuan per person. Alternatively, we could eat at the guesthouse and have locals come perform, which would be cheaper. We decided to eat at the guesthouse at 7:30 pm. After exploring three villages, it was perfect timing for dinner. The Dong sisters were already waiting for us, serving us with great enthusiasm and politeness. Everyone ate and drank to their heart's content that evening. (The guesthouse food is all homemade by the landlady, with very fresh and delicious ingredients, and the liquor is also excellent – you can try it first). We had a wonderful time with the Dong sisters; we really bonded! Their singing is truly beautiful and captivating. Even my usually reserved husband was swept up in the fun! My friend asked if we could dance, and they taught us their traditional dances. The guesthouse rooms are spacious. We rented a twin room and a triple room (which was huge!). Our room had a view of the bridge. The guesthouse is located in Yan Village, very close to the other two villages and the Yongji Bridge (which has a very interesting and fun welcoming ceremony). My husband drank too much and managed to clog the basin, but the owner wasn't upset and unclogged it for him. The facilities in local guesthouses aren't as modern as city hotels, after all, we were staying in an ancient building. I found the room very clean, the bathroom had everything needed, and the towels had no strange odors. The landlady also suggested we go for a traditional ethnic costume photoshoot the next morning, costing 50 yuan per person (outfit + makeup) or 30 yuan without makeup. The young lady at the ethnic costume shop was very professional and patient. There were many costume choices, and the materials were excellent. Everyone looked beautiful, and many people on the street kept taking photos with us. Finally, my friends all had a wonderful time and were happy with their purchases. The owners also gave us discounts on souvenirs and tea (we got to sample the tea, and the recommended ones were delicious). The next day, the same Dong sisters who came last night served us lunch, and we had another delightful meal. The landlady also helped us find a 7-seater car to take our group of five to the high-speed train station (for 80 yuan). What I initially thought would be a dull trip turned out to be the most enjoyable and relaxing part of our 7 days in Guangxi (including Yangshuo and the rice terraces)! **Previously, due to other reviews, I had doubts about the landlady's cooking! After the landlady's repeated assurances, we decided to try the first lunch. To my surprise, the ingredients were incredibly high-quality. Even my friend who dislikes eggplant ate a lot, and I, who doesn't eat potatoes, ate quite a bit. The meat was so delicious that we ordered ribs for every meal! Although the beef wasn't tender, it was very fragrant and fresh! We just weren't used to the cured meat, and the luosifen (snail noodles) could be skipped. The landlady seasoned everything perfectly; we didn't feel thirsty afterward, and the flavors suited both our Malaysian and British palates. Consequently, we ended up having three more meals at the guesthouse.

Staying at the Xi Shi Jin She Hotel was an incredibly healing experience amidst the beautiful landscapes of Yangshuo. The hotel is located right by the Yulong River, and with the panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, you're greeted by stunning karst peaks, with bamboo rafts slowly gliding by on the river – it feels like living inside a traditional Chinese ink painting. The room was clean and tidy, the toiletries were of excellent quality, and the facilities were exquisite and comprehensive. The butler service was attentive and thoughtful, and the authentic Guilin rice noodles for breakfast were fresh and delicious. The rooftop infinity pool offered amazing photo opportunities. It's also super convenient for visiting the Ten-Mile Gallery. This is definitely my top choice for a stay in Yangshuo, a perfect experience!

A wonderful family hotel with spacious rooms, a pool and a very peaceful atmosphere. We stayed here as a family with children and really enjoyed our time. In Yangshuo, many hotels have beautiful mountain views, but this hotel stands out because it is not only scenic, but also very quiet, peaceful and comfortable inside. For us, this was a huge advantage. This is a warm family-style hotel where you feel that the owners truly care about every guest. The hostess was always nearby and personally paid attention to the quality of service. The staff were very friendly, polite and always ready to help. Our room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Housekeeping was done on time, and everything felt well maintained. For this level of room, the price was very reasonable, which makes the hotel a very good value for money. Another big plus is the swimming pool. For a family trip, especially with children, having a pool at the hotel is a real advantage compared with many other hotels in the area. One of the nicest details was the afternoon tea with sweets — it made the stay feel even more welcoming and personal. The atmosphere of the hotel is calm and relaxing, which is exactly what you need in the mountains. The garden, the views, the fresh air and the peaceful environment helped us rest properly. The night before, we stayed in another hotel where it was noisy and uncomfortable because of construction nearby, so here we especially appreciated the silence, cleanliness and comfort. We finally had a proper rest. This hotel is a great choice for families, for people travelling with children, and for anyone who wants a quiet and cozy place surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery. We left with very warm impressions and would be happy to come back again. Highly recommended. Для нас это было огромным плюсом. Это уютный семейный отель, где чувствуется настоящая забота о гостях. Хозяйка всегда была рядом и лично контролировала качество обслуживания. Персонал очень доброжелательный, вежливый, всегда старался помочь и сделать проживание максимально комфортным. Номер был очень просторный, чистый и удобный. Уборка проводилась вовремя, всё было аккуратно и приятно. Для такого уровня номера цена, на наш взгляд, очень недорогая, поэтому соотношение цены и качества здесь отличное. В горах именно такой отдых особенно ценен — здесь можно по-настоящему расслабиться и восстановиться. Ночь до этого мы провели в другом отеле, где рядом шла стройка, было шумно и душно. Поэтому здесь мы особенно оценили тишину, чистоту и комфорт. Мы наконец-то хорошо отдохнули. Отель отлично подойдёт для семей с детьми и для тех, кто ищет не шумное место, а спокойный, уютный отдых среди красивой природы. У нас остались очень тёплые впечатления, с удовольствием вернулись бы снова. Очень рекомендуем.

I had a truly satisfying stay! The location of Wangjianglou is unbeatable, very close to West Street and the Li River, making getting around super convenient. I specifically booked the 'Leisure Courtyard View Twin Room,' and it was clean, tidy, well-equipped, and completely odor-free. The courtyard environment is incredibly tranquil and peaceful, a quiet oasis amidst the hustle and bustle. The twin room was spacious enough; my family and I didn't feel cramped at all. The staff were friendly and responsive. Overall, the value for money is exceptional. It was an impeccable accommodation experience, deserving of a five-star rating!

One of the hotels with the best of of the famous rice terraces. We booked the round bed room and the bath and balcony view were amazing. As far as I checked, all rooms in this hotel face the same direction ans all have a great view. I think the higher you are, the better. However compared to many other hotels, all rooms here beat anything else . Though the room looks a bit dated and the bed was stiff (spring bed), the shower, bath and balcony was great! We were also able to eat and drink breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel. We had some miscommunication about an allergy, and tried to order without soyasaus. However twice we received the food with soyasaus after they mentioned we could order without. we sadly couldn't eat what we ordered, but we enjoyed what we could it. Staff was very friendly.

I really want to leave a review of the hotel and the area in general. We stayed here with our family and children for two nights. We were absolutely delighted with the hotel and the hosts' hospitality! They welcomed us like family! Warm, thoughtful, and attentive! The boutique hotel is modern and stylish, with a smart home system throughout. Cleanliness, excellent air conditioning, crisp white linens, towels, and robes. Comfortable mattresses and pillows. Everything is new and perfect. It's a little piece of luxury, modern paradise amidst stunning mountain scenery! The food is incredibly delicious. We ate all our meals at the hotel and enjoyed every dish! The view from our room was stunning! Special thanks for taking us everywhere and patiently waiting while we explored. They gave us so many gifts! I'd dreamed of a photo shoot, and it was so nice to receive that as a gift! And the trip to the top of the mountain to watch the sunset was incredible, magical! Every moment was taken care of! All our wishes were fulfilled instantly, as if the hosts could read our minds. My worries about insects were in vain. No one bit us. We felt like we were in a fairy tale!!! I'll definitely come back to China again, and I'll definitely come back here and stay at this hotel!

Facilities: For the price, the facilities are quite complete, and the quality of the amenities is not bad. The location is a bit past the 20 yuan scenic spot in Xingping Ancient Town. I recommend renting a small electric scooter to get around the ancient town. The hotel has a partnership with an electric scooter rental service, and the auntie is very nice. Hotel guests don't need to pay a deposit, and it's a great value at 30 yuan. Environment: I came for the guesthouse's courtyard, which is very beautiful. On the days I stayed, they might have been setting up for a wedding, as there were always staff busy in the courtyard, so I didn't stay long. It's a pity I didn't get to sit down and enjoy it properly. Service: The hotel staff are all very warm and professional. The breakfast portion is fixed, but the amount is really generous. I would still highly recommend this place and will consider it again next time.

I stayed at this hostel and had a truly wonderful experience. The accommodation is located on the 24th floor of a skyscraper in a very convenient and well-connected area. The apartment is extremely clean and well maintained, with the added bonus of a free-to-use washing machine, which is very helpful while traveling. Xiu Xiu, the girl who manages the place, is incredibly kind, helpful, and welcoming, always ready to assist with anything needed. She was so lovely that we even went out for lunch together, and I really enjoyed chatting with her. Overall, it was a very positive experience and I would definitely recommend staying here.

Seriously, what a find! This guesthouse is located at the highest point in Jinkeng Dazhai that's accessible by car, which saved us a lot of uphill walking. From here, it's just a 10-minute walk to Observation Deck No. 2 and 20 minutes to Observation Deck No. 1. The rooms are equipped with all sorts of high-tech facilities, spacious and comfortable, with a faint scent of tung oil. The large balcony offers direct views of the stunning rice terraces, perfect for time-lapse photography, or simply lounging around, daydreaming and sipping tea – a truly relaxing experience. We stayed here for two comfortable nights. The guesthouse even has an elevator, making it super convenient to get to the fourth floor. The owner's cooking is absolutely amazing, and even breakfast was very generous. They served complimentary homemade rice wine with every meal, and even gave us a souvenir when we left. The owner is incredibly thoughtful!
