"I highly recommend this guesthouse! Firstly, the location is excellent. It's right inside the ancient city, very close to Huayan Temple, Nine Dragon Wall, and the ancient city wall, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. Secondly, the room layout is fantastic. In a prime location within the ancient city where every inch is precious, finding a guesthouse with two bedrooms and two bathrooms is quite rare, and it perfectly met our needs. Room hygiene: The room was clean and tidy, with no strange odors, and it was cleaned daily. Disposable bath towels and toilet seat covers were provided. The guesthouse also has parrots 🦜, peacocks 🦚, squirrels 🐿️, and goldfish 🐟, which add a lot of life to the place, and these little animals are all very friendly to people. While there are many guesthouses in the ancient city now, I still recommend this one the most, and the reason is the service! The owner of this guesthouse has an excellent service attitude, answering every question. As soon as we arrived, seeing that we were tired, they immediately brought us iced watermelon 🍉 and peaches 🍑. In the morning, they brought us warm, homegrown old corn 🌽 and local specialties. The proprietress had been waiting for us at the hotel. Because the kitchen had not prepared meals after the opening, she specially asked someone to cook a bowl of hot instant noodles. Late at night a bowl of hot soup, the stomach warmed, the heart is also practical, that simple care than any welcome ceremony is real. It’s really not easy to take a taxi here. I have to do something the next day. The proprietress specially asked someone to drive us there. The red envelope was also confiscated. , I feel really embarrassed Focus on the weather in Datong. I came from Hangzhou. Hangzhou was really stuffy and hot in July. The body temperature felt fast at 40 degrees, and the body was always sticky. But as soon as I arrived in Datong on the evening of July 19, there was a dry cool breeze out of the airport, and I felt that the whole person was comfortable. At night, there was no window in the room, the wind wrapped in dry air and gently blown in, the cover was just right, and the air conditioner was not needed at all. I slept until dawn. In the morning, the skin is refreshing, and the hair is not as easy to oil as in Hangzhou. This dry summer night is really enjoyable for southerners. Let's talk about the room. The first feeling of pushing the door in is spacious, clean and comfortable. The overall decoration is the kind of simple log wind, the wall is warm white artistic paint, the floor is covered with light-colored wood brick, and it is not cold to step on barefoot. There are not many furniture, but everything is very textured - a big bed facing the floor-to-ceiling window, a rattan-made recliner by the window, a small coffee table next to it, a kettle and cups are placed in wooden trays, neat and neat. What surprised me most was that when the curtains were opened, I could see the quiet street view and the distant mountain shadow. The light came in during the day, and the whole room was warm. The bedding is made of cotton and hemp, it is very comfortable to sleep close to the body, the pillow is just soft and hard, it is also considered that I have stayed in so many hotels, and the experience is ranked in the top 10 😂 What I want to boast about most is the private soup in the room. The soup pool is embedded in a corner of the window. It is not big, just enough for two people to soak in side by side. When the water vapor is steaming, it has a special atmosphere. The boss was very sincere and told me directly that this was a real hot spring from the underground. A few kilometers next to it was a volcanic group. The water temperature was about 35 degrees, not hot or cold, and the whole person was loose from the shoulder to the sole of his feet when he soaked in. I soaked for about half an hour, and I could obviously feel that my skin was slippery. I was tired during the day and was soaked in hot water. The boss said that the water contained sulfur and metasilicate. After the soak, it was really transparent and I slept very heavily at night. And when you soak in the soup, you don't have to go out of the room, wear a bathrobe and walk two steps to get into the water, how long you want to soak for, this privacy and convenience is incomparable to the hotel's public pool. The decoration style of the whole homestay is also very unified. From the lobby to the corridor to the room, it is the kind of clean log with warm light, no fancy decoration, but every corner makes people feel comfortable and relaxed. The proprietress said that the design was her own eye, and it could be seen that it did take a lot of thought. The next morning, the proprietress came to ask if she slept well, talked a few words, and stuffed a small gift when she checked out. As the first guest, I was really a little drummed at first, but I found that the bedding was comfortable, hot water was sufficient, and soundproofed. I used my heart everywhere. If you are tired of the sticky summer in the south, want to find a quiet place to blow the dry wind, soak in real hot springs, it is worth a visit here. I am not dragging, this is the real feeling of the day from the 19th to the 20th. I wish the new store is getting better and better, I must try the dinner next time, hahahahaha"

From the airport pickup and morning meals to the comfortable accommodation and car rentals, the hotel truly embodied the warmth and sense of belonging captured by the phrase 'Datong under heaven, one harmonious family.' The owner personally picked me up, and she was wonderful—elegant, cheerful, and incredibly welcoming. The room she arranged was clean, tidy, bright, and peaceful, making for a truly comfortable and relaxing stay. The breakfast options were perfect for a Cantonese palate, and they even had coffee available, which was a thoughtful touch."

"We had a fantastic stay here, largely thanks to the incredibly helpful and kind host. The hotel is housed in a 300-year-old building, giving you a beautiful, authentic experience of ancient China, but the interior is fully updated and very calm. Arrival and Service: The host is highly organized. They arranged a free shuttle to pick us up the moment we stepped out of the Pingyao Gucheng railway station, and provided a free drop-off when it was time to leave. Upon arrival, the host sat down with a map, clearly explained how to navigate the walled city, and gave us great advice on what to prioritize. The Room: It looks ancient from the outside, but it is a spacious, spotlessly clean, modern hotel room on the inside. It features a large flat-screen TV and a smart voice-control system for the lights. The bathroom was immaculate and entirely modern, complete with an excellent shower and a heated toilet seat. I cannot believe they provide a room of this quality for such an affordable price. It is truly worth it. Location & Breakfast: The hotel is in a very convenient spot inside the Pingyao city walls, just a 10-minute walk to the evening light show. Breakfast is included. Rather than a standard buffet, they serve a nice traditional set meal featuring millet porridge (xiaomi), fried vegetables, and eggs (see my uploaded pictures). I highly recommend this place if you want top-tier hospitality and a clean, comfortable blend of ancient atmosphere and modern convenience."
