Bobocabin never disappoints! This is my second stay, but this time at Bobocabin Parapat, it really elevated my Danau Toba experience. Stunning views, a comfy bed, and great water pressure. Check-in was super easy too. If I ever come back to North Sumatra, I’d definitely stay here again.

Clean rooms, freshly renovated, hot water, and excellent internet. No power outages, even when the surrounding area lost electricity. The friendly and hospitable owner, Dimmer, met us at the pier in his car, drove us there when we checked out, and even took us to local parks – all for free. They also rent out bikes in perfect condition. The hotel is located right on the lake in Tuktuk village, which is very convenient. Definitely recommend!

Arya Inn in the center of Pematang Siantar city is a very comfortable accommodation, on the 1st floor there is also a cafe where we can hang out, eat and drink with relatives. The service is very good and quite friendly, I highly recommend this inn for those of you who are visiting

A dated, but generally nice hotel.
Unfortunately, the cleanliness leaves something to be desired, and details and amenities are lacking.
However, the accommodation, with its beautiful view, is perfect for Instagram posts.
The location is quiet and quite remote.
The service is very friendly and attentive, although communication in English was a bit sluggish at times.
Overall, a good stay, but the price is too high.

It was my first time in Samosir, and Toba Village Inn is super convenient with an amazing view. The staffs are helpful and friendly too. You’d be able to rent your scooters from the inn itself. Will definitely visit them again 😍

Probably the best resort in Pantai Cermin. The staff is friendly and attentive. We had good matrasses and a spacious room. The website includes a note that ‘some rooms have windows’, suggesting the chance of getting a room in some sort of cave. We think most rooms have (several) windows, so the description of the rooms deserve better. Be aware that the place is hard to get or to leave if you don’t have your own means of transportation. Taxis don’t come here, maybe Grab does. Foreign tourist hardly come here and only a few staff speak English, but Google translate can help out. The resort is busy in the weekends with local tourists from nearby, like Medan. The immediate surrounding is regularly sweeped to remove rubbish, but many places, including the beach has a pollution issue.

We stayed at Sapo Karo Rest House as a family, booking 2 rooms. The location is very good—close to main attractions in Berastagi but still peaceful and calm. The environment is relaxing, perfect for family bonding and rest. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the surroundings felt safe and quiet. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely come back!

Only downside was the flushing toilet did not work properly, the hand washing sink's pipe was not properly installed, the speed of the shower was not fast enough and hot water sometimes was limited (maybe because we did not know how to operate it well). Overall, with quite an affordable price, I can't complain much 👍
Also, they allowed me to borrow their water host to clean my car before checking out on their reception yard.

Great accommodation! Highly recommended. The owner was very friendly, informative and helpful. There’s free pick up service from the nearby jetty and drop off as well. Our rooms overlook the Lake Toba, the view was breathtakingly good. The property also offers motorbike rental with super affordable price. Anyone coming to Samosir Island please consider staying here. My elderly parents also approved this place.

This was my second time of staying here. The same facilities are excellent, and of the best is the hangers, since not many hotels are providing hangers I think. The cold and warm water work fine. Overall, I loved staying here!

Simple and has everything you need. We were unsure how clean the sheets and mattress were but other than that this place was fine for a one night stay. I wouldn’t stay for much longer though.
