The front desk staff was very kind and helpful. It is located on the 9th floor of a high-rise apartment building. It may be a little difficult to find, but it is close to Urumqi Station and within walking distance.

I only stayed one night. The place seemed clean. Very large, with lots of people to meet. Mostly young Students. I met some, they were very welcoming. I will return and spend more time. There is a lobby/reception area where there is a pool table and you can play recreational games with friends and socialise. Also there is some instant food, such as noodles available for purchase. Huake was previously a hotel converted into an international youth hostel. We booked a twin-bed room for one night. There is a Uyghur girl who spoke impecable Mandarin with a tad bit of Beijing ascent at the front desk when we arrived. The check-in was speedy. The room was spacious and clean so were the bedding (no foul smell). The uniqueness about this hostel is, it does not provide bath towels and toilet papers. Instead, guests are given one-use towels and a pack of tissue papers which we double up as toilet papers. Initially, I thought the one-use towels (place on a try in the room) were bathing soap because they were in compressed form so I went to ask the Uyghur girl for towls and she told me those are actually compressed one-use towels. There are restaurants and minimarts next to the hostel and a night food street nearby (approx 200-300m by foot). No a bad choice if you need a layover or a couple of days stay to explore Kuqa.

I booked a room with a window, but was given a room without a window (these are two room types with different prices). I went downstairs to the front desk, and the girl asked to see my order. After showing her the order, she asked where it said there was a window. After showing her the word ”window”, she actually said that because the room with a window was not cleaned up, she gave me a room without a window. This reason, um... The girl on the front desk is helpful using her phone translator, there’s beer in the fridge (Wusu is the strongest but not very strong), the 4-bed room has bathroom and curtains for the beds for privacy. Nice to hear the music from below reaching the room. Great to be in Kashgar for the brilliant Sunday Grand Bazaar livestock and food market, and for the unadorned serene Id Kar main mosque (one of 24,300 mosques in Xinjiang), the mausoleum (walk up the long side road and see it from the back first: it’s beautiful there, there’s no one else and the cemetery is also amazing). The old city isn’t so special but there is a separate part over the main road rather is much less touristy and more appealing. There’s also this beautiful cafe there shown on the last three photos here, with loads of coffees, playing Astrid Gilberto, and with beautiful features he chose to add to the original old-city building.

A home-away-from-home in the far reaches of Kashgar. The property is tastefully and thoughtfully furnished, from the seating area for interaction, to the beds in the dorms with the curtains for privacy, a nightlight and an electrical outlet. I especially like that there's a rooftop with clotheslines and pegs for drying my clothes since I can't get together a full load to use the washing machine/ dryer. The homestay is located in a local village about 20 minutes walk from the Old Town. However, this being Kashgar, the village is a Uighur village and you can interact with the locals staying here. There are lots of small shops and an entire street of food just on the street outside. Ella, the owner of the homestay/hostel, has a great personality suited to hosting guests - she is warm, outgoing, and sincere and loves laughter. She's like the glue that brings her guests together to form a social circle, though she's fully appreciates some people may prefer their downtime and respects that. It's not the peak season for travelling at the moment but even then, it's been great fun staying here.

這個是使用廣角拍的，但是實際上大小比這看起來的小多了，將近180塊錢買的一晚，但是其實衹值得100塊左右，就是那種快捷小賓館，地毯很老舊，設施比較一般，衞生間很小沒有鏡子，**在床對面。不是説賓館住不了人，就是説對於他的價格來説性價比過於低了。
