Advantages
- in the city center
- can check in late
- though it’s a hostel we had a separate room and bathroom
- the room was quite clean
- there’s a back yard
Disadvantages:
- the shared kitchen was in poor condition (the hygiene)
- dust on upper shelves
- doesn’t look as nice as in pictures.
All in all fine for a single night stay.
But Wouldn’t wanna stay there for more than one night
Nice room, still a bit rough around the edges as they are clearly renovating and location is very residential outside the city but for the price it’s worth it! Kitchen was a bit disappointing as no-one had mentioned you have to use your own cutlery/plates etc. and fridge was dirty. Overall a nice place which did the job for a low price, but a few changes in cleaning kitchen and renovation areas would improve it :)

This hotel is excellent, and it's super close to all the attractions – you can just walk everywhere. The staff, especially, are phenomenal. I really want to highlight their exceptional service; honestly, with staff like this, I believe this hotel could thrive for another one or two hundred years! They also have dedicated staff in the common areas who lead ice-breaking activities to help guests connect and have fun together. I think this hotel truly excels in terms of human connection and care. Keep up the great work, and I wish you continued success!
The hotel is located in a quiet residential area. Its location is quite good. It takes about ten minutes by bus to reach the central tourist area. Just a minute's walk away is a supermarket. Shopping is very convenient there. But it should close at 8:30 p.m., if I remember correctly. The room was very large, and it was one of the few independent-bed hotels that I had stayed in. The front desk service was excellent. I don't know about the conditions of other rooms, but the door of the toilet in my room couldn't be locked properly; fortunately, it could still be closed. The bathroom had no hooks and the drainage was a bit blocked. If these two issues were improved, the overall accommodation experience would be perfect. Overall, it is worth recommending.

It is more or less 20mins on foot from Termini station. The bunk bed has no stairs to go to top bed. There is no socket plug in each bed. In the room only one has a socket plug near their bed. You have to pay when you leave your luggage after check out. No towel, shower gel provided. They should add more toilets and shower.

It was a very European place that had a great funny staff that knew the drinks! I'm 6'2 and the beds were so comfy! It was down the street from the Colosseum. Great access to Rome.

The hotel located not far from Roma Termini and I have no issue to find the hotel when my flight arrived late at night. The bathroom clean everyday and the staffs very friendly and helpfull as well.
For me,the issue when i arrived to check in..i need to climb 8-9stairs carried my luggage (20kg),exhausted.
It would be nice if have lift. I am very luckily my room located 1st floor. Others the hotel have a great service and the people are very great. Enjoyable stay at Rome on my 1st time.
The location of the hotel was very nice. If you like walking, this will be an advantage. The reception is very friendly. They helped me both at night and in the morning when my phone broke down. The rooms and bathroom were clean. You don't need to bring a cabinet lock. I only deducted my score because we purchased towels and soaps with fee.

Very Good
Friendly host and services are good just that its lots of steps and walks . very near to colesum so its beautiful in and out of train station
This was such an amazing find! From the friendliness of the staff, to cleanliness of the rooms and the brilliant location - most things were in walking distance and it's close to a metro line. I was here from 29th Dec '24 - 3rd Jan '25. I was initially really sceptical about staying in a hostel... However, to my complete surprise, it was the best decision ever. The staff really made us all feel at home! The bathrooms are cleaned daily. If you want to use a towel, they are available for rent. The beds and drawers are both lockable, and the room I stayed in was a 3 bed female room, which was also locked. On New Years Eve, we were all invited to join in for a special meal. For a low cost, we were served a 3 course home cooked meal! It was absolutely delicious! The diverse group around the table were amazing. We all shared our travel stories and then went off to watch the fireworks at midnight at the colosseum (which is only a 20min walk away). Everyone was super friendly, and I would absolutely recommend Free Hostels Roma to anyone travelling through or alone. What a great way to meet like-minded people!

Amazing amazing, the best hostel I’ve stayed at. Extremely clean, the rooms and en suite bathrooms were cleaned everyday, shampoo and soap were included in the shower. Very nice receptionists and overall great vibes and atmosphere. Good public areas, kitchen, and activities. Definitely worth the price. Great location near the coliseum and main train station. Met some great people here! Would highly recommend.

Excellent communication from the hotel staff through the ”trip” app and also through WhatsApp. Google maps took us directly to the door of the hotel, and the instructions provided by the staff made finding the correct buzzer to press and which floor to go to very easy. Staff were incredibly friendly and allowed us to drop luggage off at the hotel before check-in and to leave it again after check out because we had a late flight home.
