The hotel reception is very detailed, the location is very convenient, and the scenery is beautiful. The only thing is the power outage in the morning, which causes some inconvenience. Next time I come to New Zealand South Island, I will arrange to stay again.

It's about a 10 minute walk from the ferry and intercity bus stops, but the owner is very kind and welcoming. And best of all, the free breakfast. This price is a bargain, including the free breakfast.

Very close to the ferry terminal and convenient. There were plenty of restaurants around the port. There was no hair dryer in the room (because it was described as a facility at the time of booking ...), but I was happy to lend it! There were multiple bathrooms, so it was comfortable without being particularly crowded. Breakfast was very helpful with toast, cereal, coffee, tea, etc. as a service! It was delicious! There were also flat plates and pots. At first I didn't know where and what was, but the owner helped me! Also, maybe there are two kitchens? It seemed to be there. The owner was kind and I think it was very good as a backpacker inn!

GGuest UserThe facilities were fine. The double room we reserved came with only that.. a double bed. Not even a nightstand next to the bed or a table in the room. There was also no heater or fan and the room felt musty with a bit of moisture in the air. Could use a dehumidifier when it's raining out like it was this day/night. The other guests in the hotel were the problem. I was woken up at 4AM by someone upstairs in the smoking area chatting so loudly on their phone... I had to get out of my bed in the middle of the night and ask them to go somewhere else or end their call. It was absurd. In the middle of the night someone cooked a very fragrant meal that made the entire building smell - it was so intense that it even permeated into  our room which was the furthest room away from the kitchen... not a great stay when you can't even sleep through the night and feel like you are sitting in the middle of someone's meal.. Not worth the price

EErma from CanadaPrivately owned, friendly owners. The room was roomy and clean. There is a sitting area out the back patio doors which was good. The outdoor furniture is a bit older. The bed and linens were good for a 2 night stay. We just needed a place to stay while we toured the area. Havelock where the postal boat tour is just a 35 minute drive away. There is a Countdown grocery store right across the street which was convenient. There are no restaurants within walking distance.

The location is a bit off, not in the core area of the town, but it also brings a rare peace. The standard Motel, the car parked at the door, the front desk after 10 o'clock in the evening after work, but fortunately generally do not need any services. This is a family self-driving tour, booked a two-bedroom suite, spacious and comfortable, and very clean. Fatigue for a day, I can take a hot bath, sleep in a soft and comfortable bed, and be happy again. The boss seems to be Chinese, warm and hospitable, and the boss is very warm. Check-in and check-out are simple and efficient, and this is a good recommendation.

大王来巡山Since we were not in a rush, we decided to stay in Picton for one night before leaving. The town is not big but very clean and beautiful. I booked the hotel late, so there were not many options. I chose Beachcomber because the reviews were good. From the train station, follow the navigation and you will arrive in a short time. The front desk staff is a lady, very friendly. We were supposed to check in after 2 pm, but we were arranged in advance. The door is retro and uses a key, which is quite nostalgic. The room is very clean and better than I expected. You can see the beach not far away from the balcony. The distance is not far or near, and you will not be noisy by the bar at night. If the weather is good, sit on the small balcony and chat with the neighbors. It is quite convenient to go to the beach, restaurant and boat.

Great
PpatrickxyliuThere is no dissatisfaction, the room is clean and comfortable. Originally booked for 2 nights, but due to the weather the day before, the whale watching trip in kaikoura was postponed, canceled for one night, and the phone and hotel discussions were also very happy to promise to change one night.

NNathanThe location of the motel is terrific. It’s on a tiny hill overlooking the harbour. If you are lucky and get the rooms upstairs, you really have a fantastic view day and night. The room itself is rather simple, but it does have a balcony with chairs and a table. Great for enjoying the view. But be prepared if you are driving there. The slope to the reception is steep and parking is very squeezy. Smaller cars would see an obvious advantage there.
