There are numerous welcoming and comfortable spaces indoors and out for gathering and for intimate connection at this very special house. It has an open concept kitchen/dining/living room + loft, west-facing deck, and east-facing enclosed back yard. Schoolhouse Beach is just one block away- whether you want to swim, sunbathe or walk along the water's edge as the sun sets over the Channel Islands. Or you can enjoy sunset from the living room deck. There is room for everyone to dine indoors (the dining table seats 10) or outdoors, where the table seats 12. Evenings are magical in the tree-lined yard around the fire pit. Vons, a juice bar, Starbucks, restaurants + a surf shop for rentals and lessons are all easily walkable. The bedrooms are quiet and cozy. The kitchen has a very practical layout and is fully stocked; it's equally easy to cook at the house, order in, or walk to neighborhood restaurants. The outdoor garden shower is a nice warm-up after visits to the beach. There is plenty of space in the garage for surfboards and wetsuits. We provide 2 bikes, boogie boards, beach towels, and a long foam board. The room with twin beds and a trundle bed has toys and some kids' books. San Buenaventura State Beach with the bike path to Ventura Pier is at one end of our neighborhood, and Marina Park with Ventura Harbor is at the other end. Downtown Ventura is a short drive or bike ride. This is a wonderful house, near a beautiful beach, in a vibrant city. A perfect spot to make great memories.
