It’s a perfect base for sightseeing, with many major attractions within easy reach. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Unfortunately, I didn’t manage to note down their names, but they were incredibly supportive when I requested a room change, needed to extend my stay, and even during early morning checkouts. Hotel near Tian'anmen Square and Wangfujing Area,Beijing
Peking Yard Boutique Hotel is located in the key protection area of the old Beijing Hutong. It is a century-old quadrangle building, which was originally the residence of a eunuch in the Qing Dynasty. It is close to Lama Temple, Nanluoguxiang, Duan Qirui Executive Government (Qing Dynasty) and other attractions in the north, and Dongdan and Wangfujing Street Market in the south. In addition to the strong commercial atmosphere, it is also surrounded by many former residences of celebrities, giving it a unique Hutong cultural atmosphere. The location is excellent and the transportation is convenient. It takes about 3 minutes to walk to the Line 5 subway station. The straight-line distance to the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square is about 2 kilometers. Take the Line 5 subway to directly reach the National Stadium Bird's Nest, Water Cube, Temple of Heaven, and Summer Palace. It takes about 10 minutes to drive to Houhai Sanlitun Bar Street. Peking Yard Boutique Hotel is committed to creating a boutique homestay with Beijing Hutong characteristics, a "Wizard of Oz" hidden in the Hutong. All guest rooms use Bulgari mattresses, water purification devices, dry and wet separation in the guest rooms, all bright windows for lighting, and a panoramic view of the garden. There are also shared office coffee bars and garden terraces, allowing the exquisite space to soothe interesting souls.

"The best decision I made on my trip to Beijing was choosing this Siheyuan (courtyard) hotel! Stepping into the courtyard with its grey bricks and tiles, red pillars, and hanging lanterns, instantly shut out the city's hustle and bustle, immersing me in the authentic charm of old Beijing. The biggest surprise was the hotel's own cafe. In the quaint courtyard, with its antique feel, wooden tables and chairs were set out. Sunlight streamed through the glass ceiling onto the tabletops. Sipping a latte, the rich aroma mixed with the fresh scent of the plants in the courtyard – a wonderful blend of East and West that was truly captivating. The lounge area was another hidden gem. With its soft lighting and elegant greenery, it perfectly combined the solemn elegance of traditional Chinese style with the comfort and practicality of modern design. It was the ideal spot to experience the slow pace of 'strolling leisurely in the courtyard,' embodying the relaxed atmosphere of Beiping (old Beijing). The hotel's location is super convenient, within walking distance to the subway station and popular hutongs, yet it remains a quiet sanctuary amidst the busy city, perfectly illustrating the concept of 'great reclusion in the city.' Whether you want to experience old Beijing culture or simply find a place to relax, this hotel is a perfect fit. From the aroma of coffee to the courtyard ambiance, from attentive service to an immersive experience, everything was full marks. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Beijing!"

"My last visit here must have been 30 years ago, what a childhood memory! This established five-star hotel has a charm that new hotels just can't replicate. The Christmas atmosphere was incredibly rich! Kella (I hope I spelled that right) contacted me the day before to confirm my check-in details and upgraded my room. The upgraded room type seems to be newly renovated; although it's not huge, it's very new, completely odorless, and extremely clean. The room size isn't large, but the design cleverly uses mirrors to create a visual extension, making the entire space feel very open. The floor was incredibly quiet; no one was shouting or running around in the hallways in the morning or evening, so I slept really well. The included breakfast buffet had a rich variety of options, and the best part is it ran until 11 AM – that's fantastic and so considerate! Kempinski's Black Forest cake is still consistently delicious. Overall, it was a wonderful memory."

"A truly pleasant surprise and excellent value for money! The service here is exceptional. My family and I stayed for 4 nights straight. **Facilities:** Modern. **Cleanliness:** The cleaning staff are incredibly diligent. They even folded our clothes! My own comb broke during our stay, and the cleaner quietly fixed it for me – that was a lovely surprise. **Environment:** Superb! The subway entrance is just over 100 meters away, and it's within two stops of Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, and the Temple of Heaven, making getting around incredibly convenient. There are also plenty of malls and restaurants nearby, so dining is easy. What's more, despite being in such a convenient location, it's surprisingly quiet. The windows must be well soundproofed because you can't hear any traffic noise at night. The view from the window also offers a lovely modern city vibe. **Service:** This is definitely the biggest highlight. The front desk staff are incredibly attentive. For our last night, it was New Year's Eve, and we couldn't book a twin room, so we ended up with a king-sized bed. We were bracing ourselves for the hassle of switching rooms, but the front desk staff quietly paid attention to this detail. When a twin room became available, they called us to ask if we wanted to switch. This kind of extra service, truly thinking from the customer's perspective, deserves huge praise! 👍👍👍"

Hotel near Houhai Area,Beijing
[The Heart of the Capital] Located in Xitao Hutong, Jiugulou Street, Xicheng District, which is imbued with a strong flavor of old Beijing, the hotel is adjacent to the main route of the North Second Ring Road. It offers direct access to renowned destinations such as Peking Union Medical College Hospital, Tiananmen Square/Wangfujing, ensuring convenient transportation. The hotel commands a view of the Second Ring Road to the north, the Drum Tower to the south, Shichahai to the west, and the Lama Temple to the east. It is also in close proximity to Yandai Xiejie, Nanluoguxiang Food Street, and other attractions, providing everything one might need. [Mansion Property] The hotel property is a renovated ancient building with a history of four hundred years. The courtyard dates back to the 31st year of the Wanli reign period. Emperor Yingzong of the Ming Dynasty (Zhu Qizhen, the sixth emperor of the Ming Dynasty) bestowed a residence upon Liu Jialin, a high-ranking official in the Imperial Palace. This mansion is the predecessor of the hotel. The charm of Beijing's architecture is on full display throughout the courtyard and the lobby, with carved beams and painted rafters, upturned eaves and bracket sets, reminiscent of the prosperity of a noble mansion in bygone days. The winding covered corridors run from north to south, the wooden carved decorations exude a pure and authentic texture, and the grey brick pavement provides a stable and grounded feel, leading to the depths of the courtyard in a meandering path. [Smart Hardware and Software] All guest rooms in the hotel are equipped with human body induction systems, eliminating the need for card insertion to access electricity. Guests can open doors remotely via a mobile app and control lights, curtains, air conditioners, televisions, and other devices using intelligent voice commands. The mattresses are from the century-old imported brand King Koil, and the high-quality, all-cotton, satin-finished bedding offers a cloud-like, comfortable sleep. Each room is (standardly equipped with) an intelligent toilet. The bathrooms feature high-end toiletries from POLA, a brand favored by the Japanese royal family, and dense, misty rainforest showerheads. The hotel is also equipped with a sunroom, a book bar, a café, and more, allowing guests to enjoy the scenic views of old Beijing hutong courtyards while relaxing. [Culinary Delights of the Capital] Upon checking in for the first night, guests will receive a complimentary buffet at the hotel restaurant, which combines Chinese and Western cuisines and showcases the flavors of old Beijing. A wide variety of Beijing-style delicacies and pastries are available, including fried sauce noodles, ruyi wontons, hutouzi (a type of pancake), shaobing with meat filling, aiwowowo (a sweet glutinous rice dumpling), fried crispy snacks, hawthorn cake, and more. [Highlight of the Courtyard] The hotel integrates local characteristics into its design and experience, naturally combining business travel with leisure travel attributes. It is a must-stay mid-to-high-end hotel for urban exploration. You can feel the charm of this city from the design-filled lobby, the details of the corridors, and the views outside the room windows. Let you always look forward to the next city adventure.

"This place is very close to Houhai, just one subway stop away, which is super convenient. The lobby and courtyard have a great vibe and are really well-designed. However, the room space was ridiculously small, to the point of being speechless. I've never stayed in such a tiny room before; it felt more like a security guard's booth. There wasn't even enough space to turn around, let alone open my suitcase. Rooms this small should really be merged with others instead of being rented out individually. I've stayed at other Manxin properties before, like the one near Qianmen Street and another by the Forbidden City. Coming directly from one of those, this place felt incredibly cramped by comparison. Not only was there no wardrobe like in the previous Manxin, but there was only one bedside table. There wasn't even a proper table to put things on, just half a bathroom counter, with a kettle taking up half of that! Who designed this space? It really sours the experience and is akin to the tiny capsule hotels in Japan. At most, it's suitable for one thin person. For a Monday on a non-holiday, given this price for such a cramped 'capsule' space, they might as well charge more. From now on, I'll be extra careful to avoid booking anything around 20 square meters."

Hotel near Jinsong and Panjiayuan Area,Beijing
The hotel is a designer type hotel, the design utilizes the concept of “modern bones, natural clothes, oriental soul” for the overall design planning. In the chaotic and impetuous times, through the understanding of life, believe that people belong to nature, superimposed on the Oriental culture teaches us the design principle of less is more, and ultimately through the hotel carrier to euphemize the expression of the return to a healthy, real, natural state of life. The hotel is located in the core area of the East Third Ring Road in Chaoyang District, adjacent to the China World Trade Center, with extremely convenient transportation, only a 10-minute walk from Jinsong subway station.

"This stay completely exceeded my expectations! The hotel's location is excellent; it's right by the subway station, making it super convenient to get to attractions and shopping areas. As soon as I entered the lobby, I was impressed by the warm and elegant atmosphere. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and check-in was quick and efficient. The room was more spacious and brighter than I'd imagined, with a great view from the floor-to-ceiling windows. The bedding was soft and comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. Attention to detail was evident everywhere: the mini-bar had a wide selection of drinks, the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, and the smart devices were very convenient. I especially want to commend the breakfast; there was a diverse selection of both Western and Chinese options, and the local specialty snacks were very authentic. At check-out, the front desk even proactively asked about my stay and helped me book a car to the airport. It offers incredible value for money and is definitely a top choice for both business trips and leisure travel. I've already recommended it to friends, and I will definitely stay here again next time I visit this city!"

Hotel near Tian'anmen Square and Wangfujing Area,Beijing
The Legendale Hotel Beijing (Beijing Lijun Jiudian) is located a just 5-minute from Tian An Men. The Palace Museum is located just 4 minutes away by car while National Museum of China is located 9 minutes away. Guests have three restaurants to choose from in Legendale Hotel Beijing: Cam?es Portuguese Restaurant, Petrus French Restaurant and Macau Chinese Restaurant. Business travelers can make use of hotel’s meeting rooms and banquet halls to host conferences and events. During your leisure time, you can burn off some calories at the gym, take a load off at the massage room or dive into the pool.

"The hotel's location is super convenient; it's just one traffic light away from Line 5, and about a 10-minute walk to Wangfujing commercial area. It's also quite close to attractions like the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square. We stayed in a family room. The first room we entered had a smoky smell, but the staff immediately switched us to another one. The hotel is a bit old, with cracks on the walls in the room, and the TV and toilet facilities are quite dated. On the third day of our stay, it was a family member's birthday, and they thoughtfully prepared a cake for us. The hotel breakfast isn't great value for money. Since we stayed in a suite, adults were 100 RMB and children over 1.2 meters were 50 RMB. There wasn't much variety, so it's better to find some traditional Beijing breakfast nearby. For food delivery, you have to go downstairs to pick it up yourself; there's no robot delivery service. All the staff were very nice, especially the housekeeping team. They were very attentive, especially since we had two children with us."

GGuest UserStaying in Mandarin Oriental Qianmen was truly amazing. The whole team plan well to implement exceptional customer service and share the beauty of their property. I'd like to particularly mention some of your staffs ”Marcus” who cared so much about us from the beginning to the end, ”Eathen” the butler who was very professional during the room tour. It was our 2-year anniversary trip and they prepared our room very nicely. Next morning, we had a really joyful breakfast time with ”Wujoon Lee” and the chef ”Ping” Each menu of breakfast was top-notch. Every ingredient was very fresh, high quality, and full of authentic flavors(The Olive oil and Balsamic🫶). We loved Chef Ping's delightful energy and spirit! They were so friendly, and we even took a walk together with Wujoon after breakfast. He showed us other restaurants and beautiful ballrooms and shared many interesting stories regarding the property. It was a very pleasant conversation. I'd also like to mention one bell boy staff(sorry, couldn't pick his name up.) who came to pick up our luggage! We needed more time for packing, so he had to wait for another 10 minutes outside and took our luggage. I was supposed to meet him at the lobby because we wanted to take some more last-minute photos of our beautiful room before we leave. It was raining. After another 10-15mins, we went out and were surprised that he was waiting for us in front of our door without telling us. He just said it was raining quite heavily, so he thought it was better we take the buggy to go to the lobby. He didn't tell us because he didn't want to push us at all and make us hurry. He was very thoughtful, and I was very touched. When we reached lobby, many staffs waiting for us to say good bye, and I was told that the hotel car was prepared for my next destination.(Bvlgari hotel) I was surprised because I was supposed to grab the cab. Marcus gently offered me to take the host car for my convenience with this kind of weather. I really don't know what to say, and I felt like the Mandarin Oriental Qianmen treated me like their family. It was definitely beyond my expectations. All the staff have been very helpful, professional, and attentive. During my way to Bvlgari Hotel, I found out that the driver doesn't use the navigation. I asked him, ”Do you know where we are going?” He said he knows all the locations of every 5 stars and higher grade hotels. What a gentle and professional driver! There are always some reasons to come back! For me, the reason to come back to this property is definitely people and the breakfast, lol. The personnel of this property are absolutely the assets! The quality of service delivered by them during my Beijing trip has convinced me that I can always rely on this hotel for the home-away-from-home feeling. See you again!

ZZoey Zeng1. This hotel is part of the HUAZHU group and stands alone, located near office buildings so there's no noisy honking. It's neither too close nor too far from attractions and the airport, generally about 40-50 minutes away, but with a subway station right outside, it's very convenient. It seems to be an international hotel, as I noticed quite a few foreigners staying here, haha. There's a billiards area on the ground floor. 2. The hotel breakfast is a buffet, offering both Chinese and Western options. They have steamed buns, noodles, dumplings, fried rice, as well as fruit, toast, salad, latte, and cereal – quite a rich spread. For food delivery, a robot can bring it right to your room. During my three-day stay, new bottled water was provided in our room every day. 3. The room's heating is provided by air conditioning, which felt no different from central heating. The moment you enter the hotel, it's warm (I was initially worried from other reviews that the room would be cold while waiting for the AC to heat up, but that wasn't the case at all; it was like central heating). It can even get a bit warm at night while sleeping, so you can open the window for some fresh air. If you snore, you can ask the front desk for earplugs. 4. Downsides: The room size is small (but understandable, given the price in Beijing, including breakfast, and being within the Third Ring Road). The bathroom and toilet are separate, but both have transparent glass doors!!!! However, there are curtains that completely block off the bathroom and toilet from the main room, so privacy isn't an issue. After looking at many hotels, this one offers the best value for money, and I personally highly recommend it. Other hotels close to attractions are either very expensive, have poor environments, or have no windows/small rooms. Finally, I didn't take any photos of the hotel's interior, so here are a few beautiful pictures of Beijing, haha.

TTAN TECK HUAMy stay at the Beijing Xilian Meijing Hotel was a mix of pleasant surprises and minor disappointments. What impressed me the most was definitely the hotel's facilities, which truly exceeded my expectations! Both the in-room amenities and the public areas were thoughtfully designed, offering a great balance of quality and practicality, making for a very comfortable stay. The hotel's location is quite specific, right next to Beijing West Railway Station. I originally chose it for the convenience of catching the high-speed train, but then changed my plans to a private car, so that advantage wasn't utilized. However, the surrounding area has excellent amenities, with convenience stores and noodle shops aplenty. You can easily find food and do some shopping right outside the hotel, and there's also a bus terminal nearby, making daily travel quite convenient. The slight drawback is its distance from the city center; if you want to explore downtown, you'll need to take a taxi, which might not be ideal for those planning extensive city sightseeing. On the service front, it was just average. The staff weren't rude, but they also lacked a certain proactive warmth, leaving no particularly strong impression. However, the hotel's breakfast was a highlight. It offered a good variety of options, and the taste was great, catering to different preferences and setting a good tone for the day. Overall, the hotel's facilities and breakfast are definitely commendable. It's a great choice for those catching high-speed trains or who don't have extensive city exploration plans, offering good value for money.

__WeChat32331****Someone swiped a card and entered my room in the middle of the night. I was already lying down and about to rest, and it scared me quite a bit. The hotel didn't offer any explanation at the time, just told me to wait. Then they blamed me for not closing the door properly, but the truth is I hadn't left the room after the hotel housekeeping finished cleaning. This is truly outrageous. I ended up calling the police myself. Since it was very late, I pushed all the movable furniture in the room against the door to block it for the night. The next morning, I checked out as quickly as possible and will never go back. I highly advise solo female travelers to avoid this place; it's very unsafe.

MM255710****Fantastic experience! I booked a double room with a terrace, and that terrace was incredibly comfortable. During the day, I loved sitting out there, soaking up the sun, and sipping hot tea. Little stray cats would sunbathe on the roof, and the grey bricks and tiles truly captured the old Beijing charm. It was wonderfully peaceful yet still central. Although the room wasn't huge, it had a unique character with its wooden structure, feeling a bit like an ancient house. The breakfast was plentiful, with options like wontons, noodles, and tangyuan. After a tiring day of exploring, there was even an afternoon tea to enjoy. But the best part was their amazing service! From the moment I walked in, staff greeted me warmly, and I didn't have to carry my luggage up the stairs at all. The whole experience was top-notch, and I'll definitely be back! [Party emoji]

MM303531****This hotel is great for a weekend getaway with kids. Juyongguan Great Wall and Shuiguan Great Wall are nearby, with Shuiguan Great Wall being closer and less crowded, though a bit challenging to climb. The hotel is nestled in the mountains, offering a pleasant environment with individual villas dotted up the hillside. Our room was quite far, so we needed to drive to the lobby and restaurant. The hotel also offers many family-friendly activities. On our second morning, we participated in a valley hike, which was essentially a mountain climb – it requires some stamina. There were also quite a few downsides. Given how spread out the rooms are and how far they are from the lobby, one would expect butler service, but there was none. Moreover, it was very difficult to get through to the front desk from the room phone. For a self-proclaimed 'family-friendly hotel,' there weren't even children's slippers in the room. After finally getting through on the phone, it took an hour for them to be delivered. Why weren't they provided directly at check-in when they saw we had a child? The room itself was fairly large, but the bathroom lacked air conditioning/heating, and the shower was open-concept. This design might be fine in Sanya, but in Yanqing, showering at night was absolutely freezing. There was also water pooling, and when staff came to check, they said it was because the floor drain was too high, and nothing could be done, which was a bit frustrating. We had two meals at the hotel restaurant; the food was good, albeit a bit pricey. We also ate at a farmhouse restaurant down the mountain where the iron pot stewed fish was delicious – I forgot its name, but it had “Tell Old Mo I want to eat fish” written on the wall. Despite the downsides, it's still a good place for a weekend with kids. The hotel has an outdoor pool and a children's splash pool, which were closed due to the cold weather. We'll definitely bring the kids back in the summer.

AAnonymous UserCame here to play with ice and snow, but the ice park was closed, but the snow park was. Came here with children and the elderly, and booked a suite and standard room in the VIP building. The VIP building is newly renovated, the environment is very good, the lobby is large and grand, but there are relatively few guests, even on weekends. You have to drive to another building to eat and soak in the hot springs, which is a bit far to walk, and the snow park is closer to the dining place. It is worth praising that the staff of the snow park have a good attitude, a good experience, and everyone is very enthusiastic. It is worth complaining about the toilet in the snow park, which is a simple one, cold and unclean. There is only one, and you have to queue. It would be better if the snow park opened a few cafes with better environment. There is a small beverage shop with a very bad environment, which is very crowded. The elderly were sitting inside waiting for us to play with snow, but later they felt uncomfortable and went back to the hotel room. . . It is close to the city, and it takes more than an hour to drive there. . .

DDavid.Will.HThis stay was fantastic! The hotel's location is super convenient, right outside a shopping district and subway station. The front desk staff were warm and attentive, and check-in was incredibly fast. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding soft and comfortable, and it was so quiet at night that I slept soundly until morning. The breakfast had a great variety of Chinese and Western options, and tasted delicious. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit!
