Hamburg Hotels with Bars

"Overall, the hotel gives a modern and appealing impression. The interior design feels contemporary and well-maintained, and the general cleanliness throughout the hotel was acceptable. The room amenities are adequate and functional. The very comfortable king-size bed is a particular highlight. Even with the window open on the 5th floor, the noise level was pleasant and totally acceptable. However, there's room for improvement regarding the practical outfitting of the room and bathroom. Six hangers are rather few for two people, and there's a lack of additional hooks or other options for hanging clothes or towels. In the bathroom, and especially in the shower, storage space is either completely absent or insufficient. The toilet could also be noticeably cleaner with consistent use of cleaner and a brush. The breakfast was generally sufficient, but unfortunately, on Sunday, it was significantly below the standard of a 4-star hotel. By 8:30 AM, key items like scrambled eggs, tomato-mozzarella, and salmon were already unavailable. An hour later, eggs, Nutella, and grilled vegetables were completely missing. Apparently, at times, no clean cups were available as they were still in the dishwasher. The service was mostly handled by a young employee who, despite being very diligent, couldn't manage to clear and reset tables quickly enough on his own. Unfortunately, there were also hygiene issues with the tableware: some tea glasses had visible tea stains, and cutlery, plates, and bowls were not always completely clean. Overall, a modern hotel with good room comfort, but significant weaknesses in breakfast service and cleanliness in the dining area."

"The hotel is upstairs and there's a bar downstairs. I actually thought the bar had a pretty good vibe – everyone was just having a drink and chatting. I had a beer, then two small shots of something like a mint liqueur. After those two, I immediately felt it and went up to bed. I had a really comfortable sleep."

"The service was great that breakfast was not cheap with € 29 but great ! Unfortunately the dinner was not so good for us, so we also enjoyed it ONLY 1x !!! That was the washing basin in the living. /-sleep room is a little habitual, the industrial footing is unfortunately too cold in the cold season, for the use of TV, coffee machines, lighting, etc should there be a instruction for use !!! Unfortunately there are only few hotel parking sites and the entrance from the Str. is only to be seen on the 2nd view, if high traffic or bad view, the entrance should be better/previously detectable !!!"

"I had a wonderful stay at Barceló Hamburg. The location is perfect, within walking distance to many attractions and transport links. The room was modern, spacious, and very comfortable. The staff were always friendly, professional, and attentive, which made me feel very welcome – I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hamburg."

"The hotel is clean and in a very good location... The breakfast is varied and at a good level... The reception service is very good, friendly and helpful... Especially Mr. Ümit, who greeted us first, is a very nice person... The only problem was that we had difficulty reaching the hotel when we first arrived because of road or bridge construction, as the roads were closed due to construction... However, the next day we learned that it was easy to reach the train station from the park right next to the hotel. The train station is a 3-5 minute walk away... The train station is one stop away from the central train station... There is a large supermarket 7-9 minutes away from the hotel... If I come again, I would consider staying here again... "Simple hostel-like Hotel for young budget travelers who don't care too much about space. The single rooms are very small (and so well ventilated) but definitely okay for a stay of a few days, especially considering its central location. The staff was super friendly and very readily available throughout my stay!"

"Nice hotel not far away from the Harbour attractions of Hamburg. The hotel staff was very kind and upon my request changed our room because of a bad odor from the restroom. The breakfast is pretty good with lots of choices. The hotel has an underground parking lot which is 30 euros for visitors and 20 euros for guests, still pretty expensive considering the hotel costs of about a hundred euros per night. But in general a good hotel experience. One bonus is the free drinks of the room bar, including two beers!"

"The staff was rude. There was no complimentary water in the room; you had to buy it. Interestingly, you could only buy a different brand of water with cash from the staff, which was different from what was available in the vending machine. I suspect water should be provided free in the rooms. The staff even suggested drinking tap water. Also, there were no slippers, bathrobes, or a kettle (which means no coffee or tea) in the room. Breakfast was mediocre. No beans, and the only hot item was an omelet. There were no vegetables either."

"Well-maintained hotel close to the subway and main train station. Clean rooms, a large safe, and an excellent breakfast. The staff are friendly and always helpful with any questions. There's an underground car park on-site, which I found to be expensive and cramped."

"We stayed at your hotel for 18 nights in total as we were visiting our son and his family for the Christmas holidays. He lives nearby so this hotel was VERY convenient. The housekeeping was exceptional and we thoroughly enjoyed the hot water and pulsating shower in the bathroom. We were disappointed that there was not a coffee maker/kettle in the room. We were also rather disappointed that the full breakfast buffet on a couple of occasions did not have the hot items readily available. We were able to order individual servings of such items but it was not the same as being able to freely pick and choose what we wanted. We also noticed that the hot drinks that were dispensed from the machine were NOT hot at all and just merely warm. The front desk staff were friendly and courteous at all times. We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit our son in Hamburg."
