"The Barcelo is located about 5 minutes walk from the main train station but in a quiet area. The rooms themselves are very clean, ultra modern and elegantly decorated in light colours. The bed is very comfortable and the shower and bathroom facilities were excellent. Having a laptop sized safe is also extremely convenient. The only downside is that I found the corridors very dark and dimly lit - I assume this is for environmental reasons - but as a lone female traveller it made me feel a bit uneasy"

A Good night sleep in a comfy double bed after a late night sauna on 7th floor after a day of exploring the tourist attractions of Hamburg thanks to the convenient train station 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Friendly staff and a tasty all you can eat, breakfast buffet sets you up for a day of exploring Hamburg Harbour and other tourist attractions. Highly recommended."

"The hotel's location is excellent, right across from the train station. It's easily reachable on foot after getting off the train. The hotel environment is superb, giving off an old-money European vibe. Stepping through the revolving doors into the lobby feels like entering a different world, completely removed from the noisy train station area outside."

"This is not bad, the location is very good, just 10 minutes walk from the central station, on the main street, there are many supermarket bars nearby , the price is not expensive, the chain brand hotel, the room is slightly smaller, there is a place to hang clothes and wash clothes to dry clothes in the corner, it is worthy of praise! "Overall, the hotel gives a modern and appealing impression. The interior design feels contemporary and well-maintained, and the general cleanliness throughout the hotel was acceptable. The room amenities are adequate and functional. The very comfortable king-size bed is a particular highlight. Even with the window open on the 5th floor, the noise level was pleasant and totally acceptable. However, there's room for improvement regarding the practical outfitting of the room and bathroom. Six hangers are rather few for two people, and there's a lack of additional hooks or other options for hanging clothes or towels. In the bathroom, and especially in the shower, storage space is either completely absent or insufficient. The toilet could also be noticeably cleaner with consistent use of cleaner and a brush. The breakfast was generally sufficient, but unfortunately, on Sunday, it was significantly below the standard of a 4-star hotel. By 8:30 AM, key items like scrambled eggs, tomato-mozzarella, and salmon were already unavailable. An hour later, eggs, Nutella, and grilled vegetables were completely missing. Apparently, at times, no clean cups were available as they were still in the dishwasher. The service was mostly handled by a young employee who, despite being very diligent, couldn't manage to clear and reset tables quickly enough on his own. Unfortunately, there were also hygiene issues with the tableware: some tea glasses had visible tea stains, and cutlery, plates, and bowls were not always completely clean. Overall, a modern hotel with good room comfort, but significant weaknesses in breakfast service and cleanliness in the dining area."

"The service was ok and the staff went all out to bring me a new hairdryer when I feedback on the spoiled hairdryer in the room. However, the amenities are lacking. There’s not even a kettle to boil hot water in the room. Nor coffee and tea."

"This hotel is splendid! It's new, clean, and the rooms are spacious. The shower and all bathroom amenities, including soap, shampoo, and shower gel, are all from Rituals – absolutely fantastic! The location is superb; it's about a 5-minute walk to the train station, but not in a sketchy area; quite the opposite, it's very civilized. All the major tourist attractions are nearby! We were able to check in early, and the staff were incredibly kind, responsive, and professional. Check-out at 12:00 PM is also a huge plus, especially compared to many hotels that have an 11:00 AM check-out. I wish this hotel continued success and always happy guests!"

"What to say big .....es sounds more exciting to live there at the first moment than it is at the end. It is a typical hipster hotel, everything cool, everything loose, little practical, even less professional! The way from the bottom to the room is always a world trip, and you also feel like moving on a building site through the many unpleasant construction grids and red-white plastic lock belts. The rooms are modern, but not convenient and cool. In our suite we could not even open a window to air, on my bedside there was no desk for mobiles and Co. , bathroom for a suite small without deposit option, the overdimensionated TV blocks the view of the otherwise great view, etc. Summary: once you can do that, but must not be. There are better hotels in the surrounding area, more practical anyway, more cheap even for it."

"This was our second time at the Intercity Hotel, because of the great price and super convenient location directly opposite the main train station with S/U-Bahn and bus lines 👍🏼. The breakfast room is a bit dated, but the staff were friendly and the breakfast was reasonably varied. Unfortunately, as in every hotel, the bathroom lighting was a disaster and the bathroom itself was very small. And of course, the parking fees of €25 per day… which seems to be the norm in all hotels now."
